Maybe the electronic components aren't as hard to manufacture compared to a console getting mass produced, it's still 7 months away from release.

 
After reading about the sound on these I think it's going to be awesome it's like simulated surround using stereo which is better according to some stuff I read than actual multiple speakers. I'd almost preorder the bundle for VR worlds but figure I best just get the $399 set since I already have 2 moves and the camera. This thing looks like it might make brains explode.

you know you can still preorder it at best buy and gamestop? online, instore. I went by my local gamestop and they had a sign outside (from tuesday) that said only 6 PSVR's available for preorder, when I asked the clerk he said they still had 3 available. Outside some of us hardcore gamers this just doesn't seem that popular...

 
had to order 1 from gamestop but at least they finally changed it and went to free shipping and no B.S. handling fee.

 
I assume it's been mentioned that gamestops doing 20% extra trade credit towards this? Probably also mentioned that values just happened to drop during the couple days it's been active

Not a too bad of a promo. I managed to get $300 towards the $500 bundle. Today is the last day for the 20% boost,which I'm still wondering why such a short window to trade in ? I'm sure there will be more opportunities later in the year. I just like having my preorders paid up or it haunts me in my dreams. October can't come fast enough..I'm already tired of watching all the vr footage ...porn-girlfriend lol
 
Just the ability to play non-VR games in Cinema Mode or whatever Sony is calling it, is worth the price alone.
 
I'm seriously thinking about getting a Gear VR before considering something more advanced like this. Does anyone have one? How is it?

Why pay full price now when it comes out in October? I did the preorder at GameStop so I would not get charged the full price now. Why give them $500 to collect interest on? There is no benift in paying Full price for a preorder.
 
No major retailers charge you for any preorders until it ships. I do not really understand why so many people keep asking that question every time there's a preorder. Sure Best Buy would do a temp authorization but it is not a full charge and it goes away.

Lol what?

GameStop is the only retailer that is actually taking money. In your attempt to not let stores take money, you went to the only store actually holding your money without paying for interest.

Ok, this sounds promising. This makes the VR much more usable than I previously realized. I love the fact that he spoke about how for those of us who wears glasses that that's not an issue either even though I think since I'm nearsighted that I won't want to use my glasses with this thing anyways. My only concern now is if it's hard on the eyes which I guess only time will tell.

Been keeping an eye on my BB order and every one of my pre order clearly say "Waiting Authorization" but the VR one doesn't have that... If they charge me It's getting cancelled.

I have the gear VR, and it's the reason I made sure I got a PS VR pre order in at exactly 10AM. If that's any help haha. If you get the gear VR buy the PowerA moga pro controller from amazon
 
Well I manage to pretty much pre order a playstation vr bundle and 2 copies of uncharted 4( going to sell one) and the 2 copies of uncharted 4 came out pretty much free n some. My total came out to $514.51 at Target.

Gonna be home anyway so will try to snag one of the core bundles today. Still undecided if I will keep it (it's really not a good idea with a first generation consumer tech like this) but I'd like the option to have it if I decide on it
 
my excitement for this has been tempered by the rumors that for the best experience playstation 4.5 (or 4K or whatever the fuck they are callling it) will be required.

 
It would be crazy for Sony to release an upgraded version of the PS4 right now. Hardware revisions where a system gets smaller, adds usbs, or Wi-Fi is one thing, but putting out a new sku with different benchmarks is a real easy way to alienate your early adopters

I am a sucker and would most definitely upgrade to the new PS4 if it becomes a reality. Currently waiting for PS VR Core bundle to come up for pre-order any idea what time it's going live?

I agree. And I think the early adopters are those most willing to upgrade a system they bought 3 years earlier. It's those who just got one within the last year who will probably feel the most burned. I just don't think it makes sense to have 8 year hardware revisions anymore.
