ESPN News is reporting that Edgerrin James is with the Arizona Cardinals now. No links as of yet.

Of course, the good news for this Redskins fan is that we got Brandon Lloyd the other day. Good young reciever to add to the mix.

I was surprised to hear that he signed with Arizona. Last year I thought the Cardinals would be the surprise team and make the playoffs. Maybe this year they will...

Arizona's main problem on offense was a lack of a running game so this should help them immensely.

evilmojo12542 I think Edge leaving will hurt some, but they still will be very potent. You guys still have Mungro right?

I don't know if it will hurt the Colts that badly. They seem to have a pretty decent backup in Rhodes, and he seems to fill in pretty well when given the opportunity.

As good as Edge played for Indy they had a terrific offensive line. It'll be interesting to see what he does in Arizona with their less talented line. Of course it can only be an improvement from last season, and Dennis Green had a knack of producing 1,000 yard rushers back in the day for Minnesota.

This just in: The GIANTS are winning it all next year!

Actually, they don't have many moves to consider other than trying to upgrade their secondary. All the major offensive contributors are coming back next season. We are looking at LaVar (not sure I want him) and that's about all I've heard...

I hope the niners know what the fuck they are doing cuz I sure don't

The redskins just got randel el for a six year deal.

So far, I've been kinda underwhelmed with what the Cowboys have done.

They signed Kosier and re-signed Gurode, but that's about it.

There are rumors that we're close to signing Ayodele from the Jags. Hopefully, we'll get that done.

But the big move will more than likely come on Tuesday when T.O. is released. I fully expect the Cowboys to sign him to a multi-year contract then.

:D :D :D

so the eagles are sitting here shitting the bed right now. they have a ton of money to spend but these bastards catn seem to get people signed. they went after LaCharles Bentley and let him slip. Same with Randle-El and Steve Hutchinson. Brandon Lloyd is a solid WR and Lavaar Arrington could be a nice LB addition.

Great, way to go Eagles. You stupid fucks.

On a seperate note....watch out for the Cardinals...THE EDGE, BOLDIN and FITZGERALD...wow!

yes is a good back, however he does not have the playing time that james does make take a season for him to get to full speed.

Jerry Jones has been quoted as saying that T.O. could sleep on the Star if he became a Cowboy.

In other news, Adam Schefter, of the NFL Network, reports the New York Giants have signed free agent LB LaVar Arrington(Redskins). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

No one wants to play with the Eagles. First of all, as a franchise they are a bunch of losers :D . Second, they have a recent history of not rewarding their players of deserved long-term deals. I understand it is a business but if I were a top tier player I wouldn't want to go play for them.
The Vikings just signed signed Hutch to a offer sheet. No doubt the seahawks will match it considering they havent spent a dime in free agency so far.
That's a monster offer for a guard. However, the Seahawks better drop the dime.

I'll say this much, the Redskins offense has no excuse to not light it up next season. Portis, Moss, Randle El, Lloyd, and Cooley? That's a damn nice nucleus on offense.

I'm a big fan of Mark Brunell, but they still need a better QB if they hope to really compete. Although, their offense is looking damn good I must say...

I like a healthy Brunell running the show, but I still wish Ramsey would be the starter. It looks like he may be gone soon though. Campbell has nice upside, but he's stil too green.

You have no QB. It is a nice group of players though. God I hate the Redskns. ;)

You gosh dern Giants fan you!

I am a huge Tiki fan though since he is from Roanoke.

The Steelers has took a big hit already this year, they have lost Randle EL, Mike Logan, quarterback Tommy Maddox, safety Russell Stuvaints and cornerback Willie Williams. And the Bus hanging them up. No repeat for them. Hope they can make some good move to repalce them guys.

Well, Wille and Deuce should pick the slack up.

I don't go to any games, but if I did... Damn I'd be pissed about the Redskins price hikes. Parking is $35 and tickets went up 40%. I went to one game 3 years ago or so and thought it was probably too expensive then. Now I wouldn't touch it, unless the ticket was free.

I think parking $ is one of the things owners don't share across the league so Danny milks all he can out of it. He's definitely smart.
Well, Wille and Deuce should pick the slack up.
Plus, the Steelers are generally good most of the time. Cowher always fields a competitive team.

As much as Guile, you want Lloyd you'll soon be dissapointed. Lloyd is an amazing athlete don't get me wrong, some of the catches he's made I'll probably never see again. But he is a #4 reciever, even at his peak, very incosistent, and I don't think in the 3 years I believe him being a 49ers he's ever gone over the middle. I'm glad we got a 3rd and a 5th, more picks the better.

Now, to my 49ers, seeing as how everyone in our division is signing players non-stop, i'm suprised we haven't picked up anybody. We do have money, and have already released Ahmad Plummer and soon to be Julian Peterson. Hopefully, we can sign a WR to help Alex Smith and if the draft goes like it should being: 1-Bush, 2-Leinart,3-Young,4-Cutler,5-Hawk, we should definitely pick up D-Brick House.
what do you guys think about the browns? think they can turn it around?
With Romeo there, they better or he'll jet once the contract is up. They have addressed quite a few issues already and with Jurivius there, they have a leader for their young WR core.

I just wish the Bucs would be a little more active right now. It just seems like they sit there and wait until the last second to sign a big name. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to get TO, but him and Gruden would probably kill each other.

The Randle El signing was a complete joke. They paid way too much money for a third reciever and a kick/punt returner. I believe he caught one touchdown and only had about 600 yards receiving last year as the Steelers' second reciever.

Not very good and certainly not worth his contract.

Maybe he will be their QB.

But on a serious note, the Skins seem to have done the most, so far, out of all the teams in the NFC East. But I'm sure someone is one big signing away from them.

I'm just glad that no one in the NFC South has really gotten a leg up, so the Bucs sitting idle isn't too big of a deal....not yet atleast.

I don't really see anyone the Bucs could really use. Simms is improving, Griese will be a solid back up, the Cadillac is running wild, number #1 defense in the league, and they have solid receivers (Galloway, Clayton). The only thing they really need to improve is the offensive line, but I wouldn't mind them adding T.O., I think he'll be fine if they give him his money.

Did you ever watch them play? It's hard to have stand out stats in the two slot when your team averages about 15 completions a game, if that. They have an offense designed to win games, and it's not a passing offense in Pittsburgh by any means. It's even harder to catch TDs when they throw a total of 20 for the whole season between like 3 qbs, and Big Ben only looks two ways in the redzone, Ward and the TE. Hines ward didn't even break a thousand yards or 70 catches as their #1.

They could dcertainly use a reciever man, though I don't think TO would be wise, but Galloway is getting older every year and Clayton was a gigantic bust last year.

Clayton just needs to get in shape. He reported out of shape and struggled with injuries all throughout last season. I think he'll have a solid year this upcoming season because he was very disappointed about how last season turned out and vowed to get into shape (plus he's an awesome run blocker). He was very in synch with Simms during his rookie season and I think with the combo of Galloway & Simms and a resurgence of Clayton that their wideouts are set (definitely don't need a headcase like T.O. screwing up this young team). I'm thankful that Brooks took a pay cut and it just shows there are still players who truly love the game (he reduced his salary from around $7.5 mil to $3 mil, and any NFL fan knows he's well worth it). I'm happy that they were able to resign Hovan as he was the vital piece for that D to excel, especially in the running game. Hopefully, they'll release Griese or he'll take a pay cut because he's eating up cap room and I think with Simms around he's clearly the backup. I hope they can add some depth for the D and get some O-line help through free agency but more through the draft. The best news is that the rest of the NFC South hasn't made too many huge moves and hopefully more big names will get signed by other teams to keep it that way.

If you want a joke, the deal that Randle El got..the Redskins according to Jon Clayton signed Brandon Lloyd to the same deal. Hahahaha.

The Bucs are being smart, they let Griese go, Simms is the future, and they re-signed Aslott.

The Browns? With Crennel, I say 2 more years and there playoff contenders.

It doesn't matter. The fact is Randle El hasn't played up to this contract. Good for him, but stupid move by the Skins.

John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports free agent QB Drew Brees (Chargers) reportedly is seeking a contract that will pay him $10 million per year and he is firm in those demands. The New Orleans Saints are the closest to meeting Brees' demands. The Miami Dolphins aren't offering as much in guarantees as New Orleans, and they seem to have dug in on not doing that with Brees coming off shoulder surgery.

Wow, that is insane. If I were the Saints, I'd rather go after Culpepper of possibly draft Cutler. No way would I pay $10 million a year for an good quarterback coming off of major shoulder surgery.

Randel El? $31 million? $11.5 million guaranteed?

Damn Daniel Snyder is a SUCKER!

I love Randel El, I'll never say a bad thing about him as a person or player. Good for him getting his payday. I wouldn't have kept him for more than $15 over 5 with $3 million up front. That's the business end of football talking not loyalty or thanks for a job well done.

Mike Logan will be resigned. He was released, injured, but will be back. You can't release injured players without major NFLPA hassles. Tommy Maddox? a LOSS? Hell, that's like a gift! Get me any SEC or Big 10 QB and he's replaceable. Willie Williams played 2 games last season, he's over 35. Again, replaceable.

Redskin fans I hope you realize you have no receivers over 6' tall now or over 200 lbs. The Smurfs are back.

I'm not worried about the Steelers offseason. Chukky Okobi is resigned until 2009 and if Hartings, for whatever reason, doesn't work out contractually, they're fine at center. If Kimo von Oelhoffen leaves he's 35 or 36 and Brett Kiesel is a very capable replacement.

The Bus hasn't been an every down back for 3 years. They're not going to miss him from a game plan basis.

I haven't seen someone waste as much as Snyder on a Steelers UFA since the Texans signed Kris Brown for $15 million.... for a place kicker.

Good for Randel El, bad football business though.

He's supposed to be throwing again in June and fully recovered by the start of camp IIRC. Culpepper showed that he can muck things up really quickly without a standout cast around him, which the Saints don't really have. Also I think Cutler is an overrated draft prospect. All these top 5 discussions for a Vandy Qb with a losing record and one standout season, good QBs are a shortage this draft, but still crazy IMO. Still picking him as the #2 overall pick would be nuts I think, why not draft Leinart or Young first? If they really want to get Cutler they should make a deal to trade with at least the Jets or packers or someone to hopefully get a later rounds pick out of it. Though I admit they maybe going over the mark with paying Brees.
