mario williams is good building block for the texans defense. he alone won't make the texans defense a top 10 in the NFL but he's a good start towards it.

are they thinking. With the people that where still on the board they could have gone WAY WAY WAY WAY ing BETTER THAN ERNIE SIMMS.

The thing about grading teams is that you really shouldn't until about three years after that year's draft class.
Also, a team who drafts first will usually always get the better talent than the one drafting 32nd. Therefore, you have to grade each team by the talent they were able to get at the draft position they were in.

Watch some game film of Ernie Sims before you talk. The guy is an absolute stud, the only thing you have to worry about is the concussions.

yes he come be a smaller version of derrick brooks at WLB. hey, ron marnelli was the d-line coach of tampa bay. he will know a few things about derrick brooks that he saw in ernie sims. he was the 2nd best LB in the draft, just behind aj hawk.

First: Remember when Joey came to town...he was our savior, we all see how that turned out. Andre Ware, Tim Couch, Ryan Leaf.....no QB taken high is guaranteed.
Second, Artose Pinner NEVER played for the Titans...Detroit drafted him. Get your facts right.

Anyway....i wouldnt say Joey was suppose to be our savior even then. I am at work so i cant look at the list of player right now i wil get back to you on that.

NONE of the QB detroit played the entire season last year. King didnt play not a down, Kitna only played in 3 games, McCown played in 9, Dan orlovsky played in 2 or 3. Other than harrington all 4 of the other players combined played in a whooping 13 games last season. We know harrington will not play for the lions this year so who would you trust to run under center?

I have faith in McCown. Look what Mike Martz did with Kurt Warner, Marc Buler and Ryan Fitzpatrick....McCown has ability, Kitna MIGHT have some still....who knows. Shaun King will be on the streets and Orlovsky will be 3rd string again.
With our luck, Leinart MIGHT be good, be the Lions do not have a track record for QB's. EVERYONE WANTED JOEY IN HIS ROOKIE SEASON. McMahon started the season and he was not ou saviour....but people wanted JOEY, JOEY, JOEY...then look what happens.

I agree. I think McCown got a raw deal in Arizona by them never letting him start for an extended amount of time, but I think he showed a lot of promise.
If the Lions give him a chance, I think he can be their starter.

I agree. I think McCown got a raw deal in Arizona by them never letting him start for an extended amount of time, but I think he showed a lot of promise.
If the Lions give him a chance, I think he can be their starter.
