Gamespot gave it a 7.9 : http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/strategy/culdcept/review.html

IGN gave it a 8.7 : http://ps2.ign.com/objects/017/017155.html

I really dont think those would be considered as bad reviews...

perhaps your confusing this game with something else :whistle2:k

I picked this up back in 2004 when I was in an EB games in the LA area.

Saw a copy for $17, picked it up immediately. It's a pretty fun game.
EB in store still has them for only $5.99 if you can find them but even at $15, it's a steal. Incredible game.
thanks for the heads up on EB, my wife just snagged one for me for a measly 6.49 after Tax...last copy too :)
Is that $6.99 EB B&M used or new?
Used , consider yourself lucky to find a sealed one outside of Ebay. it's my understanding that this game was sold for $2.99 sealed on clearance at one point, I cant believe I missed that one :wall:

Might have to go check eb tomorrow for this one, thanks OP, also if eb doesn't have it, my local gamestop has it in stock, so I will hit that up after bb after I blow like $50 there on jak3, killzone, and sly2 lol, dam I love spending money! lol

this game is definitely worth it. I'm not much of a card game fan but I have clocked in about 150hrs in this game since I bought it in april of this year. I'm usually not much of a gamer either. FFX was probably my most played game before this and I spent about 45hrs on that game. I rarely play any game for this many hours.

It definitely helps if you have people to play with. Even if you don't, there is enough to keep you busy. I have completed the story mode and am working on getting all 50 medals (currently at 23). There are about 480 cards to collect, i think, and I am still missing about 50.

Old Williow and, especially, Kelpie will slaughter the AI (particularly when combined with simulacrum), but any human player who has seen them in action once will have a cards in their deck that can snap them like twigs, those being scrolls. Scrolls penetrate often, and are not blockable or reversable by a majority of damage cancelling defensive items or protective spells.

There are also multiple spell cards that can splatter those two cards without being anywhere near them.
