Nice find. I got three of these, and I can definitely reccomend them. Even if you don't care about Pokemon, they are very thick and long. Definitely easier to handle than stock styli; I like them better than the Hori extendables, too.

Same. I probably won't get them, but no harm in trying. I placed an order for 1 of each. I wanted to get these for my wife, but EB screwed up my preorder, so I missed out on them.

Edit: As a side thought... Is it even LEGAL to sell these? Even if they do only sell them to people who preordered the game, they are still SELLING them, and combined with the $34 price of the games, brings the total to above MSRP. It's still cheaper than retail due to no tax, but they are still SELLING a preorder give away. At the VERY least I would think that would make Nintendo unhappy. Just a thought...

Technically they're only free after you have purchased the item. Best Buy charges $20, while TRU charges $10 for these as a pre-order item. Now these amounts are going towards the games, but if you don't pick up the games for some reason you're out a pretty penny. It's just another way of companies giving the consumer the shaft. I always thought schwag was given away to boost sales/advertisement, but the mighty dollar has taken over this realm as well.
 
Interesting. I have the Palkia one already, and it would be nice to get the Dialga one if only for collectible purposes. It would strike me as odd for them to charge for something that they won't honor if you don't get the game from them...

Good point. Selling them is DEFINITELY not something that was meant to be done with these. Saying you're "paying for them" with the presell deposit doesn't hold water, the true intention of the deposit is only to go towards the game. Whether we decide to buy the game or not is up to us.

On top of that, to say "$2 only if you've bought Pokemon" is downright wrong. if Amazon got these too late to list as a preorder bonus, they should either:

1: Send them out with your preorder game as a bonus.
2: Send them out separately (for free) to the first people who preordered them until their stock runs out.
 
I went ahead and ordered one of each right before they had the chance to edit it. It's worth a shot.
 
I figured I'd try and order one, all else it gets canceled and I don't get charged.

I'm going to agree with the other guy though, they shouldn't be being sold, atleast not until all preorder people got theirs. Pretty sure they are marked not for resale or something like that...
 
Well I've seen these stylus's out on the floor at Circuit City for like a month now....you could easily just pocket a few of them--seems like that is what people/children have done so far.

Uh, you guys, you can get these for 1 cent (seriously) at Circuit City. I hadn't pre-ordered but when I bought Diamond and Pearl there they asked the kid in front of me (who also bought both) if he wanted "the pens". She rang 'em up and they came up in the system as 1 cent. I asked if I could have some too when I got up there and she did the same for me.

only if they got any left. the stores around here were cleaned out weeks ago for the preorders

I got prime though amazon and both orders look like they are shipping. should know by tomorrow and have them in hand tue
 
Well, I bought one last night and its status is "Shipping soon".. not really interested in the Pokemon game but if it's a decent stylus not bad.

I'm worried Amazon will decide to charge me for the game or something now... we'll see.

the same now goes for GAME DEMOS. EB/GS charges you $5 to pre-order a game and you get the demo, but if you dont buy the game, they just made $5 from the demo. does anybody remember when demos used to be, umm, whats the word.... free?

Yeah, demos ARE free, as long as you have a 360 or PS3, and if you have neither, well, you SHOULD be charged for demos. Get with the program.

Edit: Hell, for that matter, even the PSP and DS sometimes have free downloadable demos. Humorously though, when the mycokerewards started, some of the items listed were PS2 and PSP demo discs for about the same price as a blockbuster rental. The scary thing is some of them sold out...

I've been looking for something like this. I need a longer and thicker tap tap stick as mine will fall on the floor and I can't find it. And it feels so small in my hand too.

A friend of mine did preorder and got his stylus today, and its great. Its very sturdy and large and I look forward to using it in games like EBA and Trauma Center.

I just ordered that blue Pokemon stylus, whatever it is. I'm so out of the loop when it comes to Pokemon. I only know as far as #151 Mewtwo and the wonderful glitch 'MissingNo' from the original Pokemon.
 
Though mine has yet to ship, it has gone into shipping soon and won't let me cancel...

I'm not really into Pokemon, but I couldn't turn down the opportunity for a meatier stylus. I grabbed one of each, plan to give one to my brother (who does love Pokemon), and will keep whatever he doesn't want.

I ordered 2 of each

I got the pearl off CC and the diamond off best buy

BUT I have no plans on buying DIAMOND OFF best buy so i can return the pen and get my 5 bucks back and buy both pens off Amazon for 4

so i should have

3 pearl and 2 diamonds (1 pearl from cc)


mine are still in process what is sort of $##$# since i have prime they should of shipped by now maybe later

You beat me to it. I was about to point out they are not out of stock since I just ordered another pair to see if they will ship or not.

What you are wanting is for them to allow dropping a pre-order and getting your money, but keep the free item. That's why it has come to this in the first place is because of boneheads like you who effectively stole free items that come with merchandise pre-orders. They want to boost sales. If they allowed you to keep the item while they refund your pre-order, how does that boost sales? They aren't giving consumers the shaft. They are protecting themselves because consumers have been giving them the shaft for years.

Stop being so angry that you couldn't swindle a retailer. If they want to make stupid sales that allow big discounts, that's one thing. And that's what CAG is all about. But if you're going to complain when a retailer has been screwed countless times and covers their bases prior to the launch of a deal and before a CAG can take advantage of them, then you're basically a wanna be thief...

Why does Amazon set up these pre-order bonuses like this btw? Why is it a seperate item on a seperate order page you need to add to your cart - as opposed to just shipping the item automatically like every other retailer in the world?
 
My order has fully shipped, so hopefully other people's will as well. For the record, I only ordered 1 of each. Hopefully they will not fill an order for 100 of each, because you KNOW someone placed one, but they probably won't even think twice about it.
 
Someone can't order 100 unless they place 100 orders. I ordered 2 of the Diamond one, one to keep sealed the other to use and when I changed the quantity to 2, it tells you there is a limit of 1 so I had to place 2 orders of 1 each.
 
ordered mine around 8am est yesterday morning and have prime. They are still sitting in SHIPPING SOON. If they dont ship i will call up amazon and tell them they lost my business and will never renew my prime
