I have a brother who dips his chicken strips in ranch. I had 2 roommates who would put ranch dressing on their tacos. I have a friend who puts ranch dressing on his pizza. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE!? Please tell me this is just an extreme coincidence, and not a widespread phenomenon.

fuck no, me and my mom got some off the wall food poisoning back in like 1992 because of that shit. I haven't had more than 3 servings of it since then. Too much like mayonnaise.

Not everything, but a lot of things. Pizza, chicken strips, breadsticks, salad, burgers. Don't know about tacos though, maybe if it's day old shit from taco bell maybe.

I can tell you I have never put it on my penis, so I don't put it on everything. I do enjoy ranch(certain ranch dressings, not all) on chicken strips and the mango habenero wings from BWWs. I enjoy it on pizza and some bread sticks. But I don't put it on everything. I do put hot sauce on everything. Well almost everything.

just about any food that requires a dip or a dip is optional I go with ranch

things I can think of I use ranch on/with

-salad
-pizza
-fries (only if fry sauce isn't an option)
-tendercrisp from burger king
-mozzarella sticks
-potato bites from arby's
-chicken nuggets/strips
-blt's
-tried it with hashbrowns once, kinda gross
-vegetable trays
-buffalo wings
-popcorn chicken
-the meaty hot pockets
-breaded mushrooms

Ranch dressing is very good! I love the taste of it... I put ranch dressing on the same foods as your roommates. I put it on chicken, pizza and sometimes on quesadilla.

usually I'll have some with one slice of pizza every time I get it, but I'm not too hot on ranch with chicken or tacos.

My roommate my freshman year would use ranch dressing on EVERYTHING. Pizza, chicken, fries, fish, beef, chips, you name it, he used ranch on it.

I hate ranch and will never use it again. I have noticed that ranch spreads. First on salads, then with chicken or fries, then with pizza then bam your entire plate is ranch with a little bit of food on the side. People go too far with this stuff. It is like the crack of the food market.

This. But I simply don't like ranch dressing. I do, however, dig the hell out of bleu cheese dressing, although the only thing I put it on is chicken wings.

Salads typically get a balsamic vinaigrette for me.

Ranch is a strange phenomenon (as you asked in the OP), where some people don't just use it, but fucking SLATHER everything that goes in their maw in it. So their not eating a slice of pizza, but a pizza-shaped slice of ranch dressing. Or so it appears.

I like spicy, robust food and sauces (Famous Dave's celery-seed heavy BBQ sauce can suck a dick, though). That said, ranch is such a potent substance that it takes over everything it touches - you can't taste the pizza, just the ranch. It doesn't add to the flavor of food, it covers over it. I don't get the ranch phenomenon, but it is kinda appalling to watch it in action.

If it comes on a sandwich at a restaurant, I'll go with it. The only time I voluntarily use any sort of ranch is when I get the southwestern ranch for my Buffalo Chips at Buffalo Wild Wings. Beyond that, I usually can't stand the stuff.

i use it a lot.....although i dont really use it much on pizza since I dicovered Papa John's Garlic Sauce..i wish they sold that shit by the gallon in stores

I had a ranch phase at one point. It's good on a lot of things, but I've never thought of it as something that people overdo (just never noticed). I would use it more but I've simply developed a taste for other dressings/condiments as I've gotten older. Otherwise I'm a light dipper in that I'll dip or top something to accent it, not take over the flavor.

I do remember that they had ranch seasoning shakers for us to use on our fries in high school. It was similar to the ranch flavoring on doritos. Yum!

Had this been about your roommates slathering that stuff on peanut butter sandwiches, there would've been something to discuss. But using it in relatively normal (albeit mostly gross) combos, ...so?

I think I could use a little right now... I just got a mouth full of cayenne chicken. Oh god...
