That'd be pretty funny.
I'm asking because the dad of this girl I know has a radio show on KUT (Austin's local, public station, but you knew that), and he's basically a local celebrity (he goes by his real name), so people are always asking her, "Oh, is ____ your dad!?"
The idea of Brak as a local celebrity seems hilarious, so I can only hope he doesn't.
I'd quit if they wanted me to be an on-air personality, simply because I a.) don't like radio, and b.) wouldn't be able to do what I want. (It's all about the $$$ in small market radio.)
It's very rare, but some people have said "I heard you on the news!" ... and I hate it when that happens.
The sports commentators, when we do local sports games, mention my name on the air a lot, so people recognize my name from that, too.
I'm actually blown away by how many people actually listen to radio.
They never recognize my voice, though -- only my name, since there are probably only twenty people in the United States with my name. The other fifty are in Sicily.
