So is the tourney gonna start this weekend or what? We still don't have any official dates, brackets, gametypes or anything.

I was going to start it this Saturday, but almost nothing is ready. I'm working on everything and will let you guys know when we can start this thing.

Since rocksolidaudio isn't in the tournament, do you guys think we should get him to draw numbers out of a hat to match the opponents, and the three games that they will be playing?

Agree Besides Classic CTF on Elongation. No power ups,snipers, and rockets make this map the most fair for it.
 
I disagree with the complaints about backwash. maybe if you can turn the sword off then the map would be fair. it just relies more on accuracy rather than shooting a little and chucking grenades to clean up your mess.

I can't wait to play this, so I hope it's this weekend. I think if rock is up to it, that's great.
 
I'll fix the list tomorrow morning. People don't have teammates, available times, and shit. I work it out somehow. Thanks for the input.
 
Z and myself will be on throughout the weekend if anyone would like to play us for a warmup match. Even if the tournament starts Saturday, we're still down for some practice. Just let us know.

If you are ever bored on Halo and want to do a custom game, try out some of the gametypes from the 2v2 list and see what works best.

PS: It looks like there will be a total of 12 teams in the tournament, 2 game brackets, three games per bracket stub, and a kill limit of 25.

Shit with only 12 teams & 30 gametypes I'll draw things out of a hat or roll a dice or use a TI calculator to match things up. The sooner the better... If Rabbit #'s teams 1-12 I can just pick or roll numbers to be assigned. I won't ever even know the teams.

Hmm, never thought of that. I'm going to number the teams, and email them to crispy. I need a couple more people for the tournament, so I will just put a ? mark next to their team number.

Once we get all that shit cleared up, I can enter it into www.bracketmaker.com.
 
That bracket is kind of a bitch. I made a 12 team double elimination tourney and here is the best I could do.

alright guys.. azn is gonna pick random numbers and see which number matches with which in the first round... for example, he would say: team 2 vs team 9, team 11 vs team 3, etc, etc...

then craven will reveal which teams are which (rabbit randomized them and pmed the list to him...)

i think that will work, if there are any objections, post NOW...

Hey, that's a great idea. I never thought of that. I'm working on the bracket right now.
 
I suggest the pairings for the losers bracket be determined on how bad those teams lost. If team A loses by 5 kills, Team B 6, and Team C 10, then they should be ranked in the losers bracket best to worst. That should be determined after round one.
 
Also, I have all of this in an Excel document. I'll yousendit to whomever wants it. I'm just putting int he names. No need for another person to do it.

So then after the first round, would you match up the team lost by the least against verses the team that lost by the most? Or would you just rerandomize it, based on those stats?
