Post Your Buys from the EB B2G1FREE Deal Here!!!

Metroid Prime Echoes, Resident Evil 4 and GTA San Andreas for about $7 out of pocket after all of my $3-4 TRU trade-ins and unwanted games.

I wanted Starfox Assualt instead of San Andreas, but no one has sold any back to EBGames.

My score so far:

Phantom Crash (Xbox) - 8.99 after 10% off edge card discount
Gungrave (PS2) - 8.99 after 10% off edge card discount
Alundra 2 (PS1) - The free game which was priced at 7.99.

All complete but tottally stickered up.

Not bad if I do say so myself.
I thought I saw gungrave for $9.99, but now the store has the $12.99 sticker price. Do store prices vary or did they just stick the wrong sticker on it?
Wrong sticker or wrong game, dont forget Gungrave OD is 12.99 and Gungrave is like 8.99 or 9.99. My gungrave OD was priced 9.99 and rang up 12.99 but i didnt care because it would be the free game regardless

Nothing too great here

Amplitude for $15
Cima: The Enemy for $10
Dark Cloud was free game.

There was absolutely nothing worthwhile at either my EBs.

Picked up:

for $16.58 in TRU-EB credit, about $4 spent.
Okage
Metal Gear Solid 2
Dark Cloud

for $25.37 credit, about $6 spent.
-Final Fantasy X
-Grandia 2 (weird thing I saw it ring up as 9.99 but the guy did something and it shows up as $12.99)
-Xenosaga - the game ringed up as $14.99 but the guy changed it to the sticker price $12.99

Saving the rest of my credit for later.

I was mainly in the market for GBA stuff since I can't use my consoles currently but their ridiculously high prices for games lacking all packaging and manuals is too much to ask, even with B2G1. Sometimes they seem to act like I should be grateful the cart still has the shell intact. (I hate children who destroy everything that comes into their hands.) It amazes me that anyone is stupid enough to buy a GBA game with no packaging higher than the promotional prices regularly offered by Target, Best Buy, and other major retailers.

So, I ended up just filling some holes in my console library in the forlorn hope I'll ever get to use it.

Brute Force Xbox
Battle Engine Aquila Xbox
Culdcept PS2

Came to about $12 after Edge card discount.

Jak and Daxter 1: 12.99
Splashdown: 12.99
Gundam: Federation vs. Zeon: 12.99
Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer: 9.99
Freekstyle: 9.99
Wakeboarding Unleashed: 9.99

Total after edge card and b2g1 was $46.56. However, I called up last night and told them they remove the 2 9.99 games, instead of a 12.99 game and a 9.99 game. They changed to total to $45.83, which I don't get. If they upped my shipping(which I think he did), I'll call them up and demand my $2 that they used on my better shipping. I'm a CAG damnit!

Wow, your EBgames sells cds. All of the ones near me will take them in but there are no stores in the area that will sell them. Is there anyway to tell just which stores will sell them, or are they just test marketing it right now?

Rocket Knight is one of my favorite games on the Genesis. It's a ton of fun and difficult in that classic game way. I wish I could only find it's psuedo-sequel Sparkster.

I thought I saw gungrave for $9.99, but now the store has the $12.99 sticker price. Do store prices vary or did they just stick the wrong sticker on it?
From my experience, the stores can vary. It depends much of the time whether or not they have a lot of copies of the game in. This is also part of the reason why you get such a low trade in price for some older games that they have a lot of copies. This can be regardless of whether it is a good game or not. It also could just be a mislabeling by the store. I know one store I went to not too long ago, I noticed that it had Wild Arms 3 for 12.99 while another store (only a few miles away) had it for 9.99.

About 3 months ago I wanted to trade in Brute Force to some stores but because they said they had literally 20 copies of that game, that they were only willing to give me about 1.60 for it while another which only had 5 of it said they would give me 3.40 or something like that.. So you see, it's a very YMMV type of an issue.
yes, those EB stickers are the devil.

I used to buy new cases for ebgames, but now they shaq fuing put it on the menu too.

#$%^&* I hate eb preown stickers -_-
I have the perfect solution. To take the sticky stuff off, just use packaging/scotch tape. Press the tape against the stick-em and remove. Repeat this several times. It takes a couple of minutes but the cases come back good as new

Let's see...

All GBA
Set #1 (in-store):
Golden Sun: The Lost Age
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past/Four Swords
FREE: Golden Sun

Set #2 (in-store):
Mario VS. Donkey Kong
Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls

Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones
FREE: Boxing Fever

Set #5 (on-line):
Wario Land 4
Super Dodge Ball Advance

I'm still waiting for my on-line orders to be delivered. So far, I've only had troubles with Golden Sun. It was a bootleg (didn't have an official Nintendo-marked chip) and it wouldn't save. But they exchanged it for a working one without any hassle.

Speaking of which, here's a question: The bootleg Golden Sun was marked/rang up as $14.99, but the working Golden Sun was marked/rang up as $17.99... Would EBGames knowingly sell a defective product for a lower price?

Anyway, yeah, I feel pretty good about this sale. :D
