It is going to be included on the disc I hope it's the "Director's Cut" Edition that was released for PC i always wanted to try out the extra Missions.

Also I have sent a twitter message to Assassin's Creed's Com Dev to find out if it is also included with copies of the Signature Edition from Gamestop.

I have this preordered at Gamestop. It's awesome it'll be on disc. I never finished the first one either. I also hope it has trophy support

never played any of them (except the MP betas for this and Brotherhood) so when this inevitably gets cheaper a month or two after release I'll pick it up

Also I don't buy the whole "it'll only be on Day 1 copies" thing. I doubt they'd go to the trouble of putting it on the disc if they only intended such a limited amount to be released. I expect copies with AC to still be around well after the launch, similar to versions of DS2 still have extraction (which was supposed to be for a limited time only)

This kind of has me interested, considering the first one never got trophy support. I wonder if it falls under Sony's terms for releases and would force them to add support. I mean, they're already done in terms of what 360 got so all they'd have to do is code them in.
I highly doubt they'll go back and add trophies.
Sony mandates trophy support with new releases, so it may not be up to them to decide. Again, I don't know what they stipulate in their rules, so it will be interesting to see how it turns out. Look at the MoH LE that came with Frontline. Guess what, trophy support.

AC isn't a new game on the system like Frontlines HD was. It's apples and oranges. They're just tacking an existing game released on the PS3 already, on to the disc of a new game. I'm positive Sony can't force them to add trophies to the game in this situation, it is up to Ubi to do that. I believe the trophy mandate is for all new games, clearly AC isn't new.....

Lets hope they do! AS stated before Xbox already has them it would just require some extra coding, which hopefully they are up for!

People getting their hopes up for trophies, feels eerily familiar to people expecting trophies for the Oblivion 5th year edition. Very few developers actually want to go back to a 4 year old game and code it, it's simply not worth the effort to do that. They rather put those resources towards the new game.

If it is the DC that the PC had, then it is a new release though. We'll just have to wait and see.

I highly doubt this will have trophies. Case in point, just like SSJ mentioned briefly, Oblivion 5th Anniversary.

People used the same logic, "It is a new release, they HAVE to include trophies". Thing is just like this it isn't a new release, even if it has adde content, it is not a new release, it is just an updated one. I am all for it getting trophies, but to expect it seems to be setting yourself up for disappointment.

No trophies would be the least of my disappointment since they started milking the franchise annually. That and having not improved MP to the point I'd want to play it sucks.

When Sony re-released Resistance as part of the Resistance dual pack it did not include trophies. Frontline was a remasted PS2 title for the PS3, so it really is a new title, thus trophy support. AC1 was originally made before trophies were mandated, so I believe it is exempt from manditory trophy support, although it would be nice if it did have it included...

There won't be trophies because AC1 is already available on PSN as a full download. What you'll get with this is a download code for that. This won't be included on the disc, guaranteed.

Dead Space Extraction is on PSN and is on the DS2 disc. So don't guarantee things you don't know about.

AC1 is crap compared to 2 and Brotherhood. I couldn't even last more than 5 hours playing AC1. But... it's really up to you. A large chunk of the story will be lost to you if you don't play the first, especially seeing how Revelations is looking to tie everything together.

Oh cool, I might consider this since my only copy of AC is on the Xbox 360.

I know, I have the game already, but to have it all on games on one console is a nice freebie. Already have ACII on PS3 and will have to get AC: Brotherhood before the price goes up. Hope it will be a voucher or a separate game disc so if I wanted to I could give it to a friend.

Might have to preorder the Signature edition at my local gamestop. Don't really care for the toys and would rather have that super version with some sort of giant hardback book.

I forget what that edition is called, think it is only available online like through Ubisoft's website and other retailers.

From the Official Sony Blog.

"Supplies are somewhat limited, however, so you’ll need to act quickly (pre-ordering might help ;D) in order to get a copy of the original Assassin’s Creed included on your Assassin’s Creed Revelations Blu-ray disc."

AC1 as a bonus? Lol. What's the opposite of "bonus?" Cuz that's what this is. AC2 and AC:B are so, so, so much better.

Very first line of the linked article, "It'll be on the Blu-ray, so no need to spend time downloading it."

If it is like the other PS3 game bonuses included with Dead Space 2 and Metal of Honor, it will be on the Blu-Ray but it installs the game onto the PS3 hard drive just like it was a PSN download.

Except for the fact that it will install much faster, won't ever disappear from PS Store (for whatever reason), you can give/sell/trade it and let the other person have access to it, and won't use up any of your bandwith cap (if you have one).

Bumping this because last chance to pre-order.

Better order soon. By the way this is also good with Gamestop's Signature Edition.
I'd pay more for them to remove it from my disc.
See you're trying to be funny, I get that, but you are coming across as a whiny little kid who thinks he's too funny.

Same thing with the batman bundle at Walmart. First it was suppose to be an exclusive pre order online. Now there are tons of copies leftover that are in stores right now.

Not to mention you can get AC1 for dirt cheap. Also AC1 was not exciting when it comes to gameplay/mission variety.

Man I should've kept a better eye out for AC:R deals... I pre ordered from Amazon (with a little bit of credit) and regret it so much >_

This is like saying Madden 07 comes as a preorder for buying Madden 12

Seriously, AC1 is a terrible game, so repetitive, its barely more than a tech demo

If you are buying Relevations, why would you want AC1... assumption is most should have played it up to this point (as there have been 2 other titles in-between games).

Anyways, my best buy all copies I saw of PS3 had it packaged in. There were plenty so they should def last until BF if not beyond.
Free version of a game some people didn't play included on disc, CAG STILL complains about it.
Well, to be fair the game is only worth free at this point.

I prefer to use my PS3, but When I bought AC1 it was for the 360. After I beat it I sold it and planned to rebuy on the PS3, but never did. Now I don't have to.

I am one of the few that always wanted to play this series but always put it off. I got ac2 on a sale for $8 and grabbed AC:B at the BBV sales, but traded it in.

So now I have AC2 and 4, wish I had a ps3 to net the free ac1 but sadly just an Xbox. Will grab 3 during the upcoming BBV sale. Might have to just eat the cost and get 1 somewhere.

Then I will work my way through them
All.
