Preorder Xenoblade Chronicles CE for £49.99 at GAME/reg.ed. for £29.95 at thehut

Nintendonly

CAGiversary!
We all know that Nintendo of America ain't budging, so the next best thing is to order from a site that ships internationally (HMV.co.uk does as well, but Xenoblade Chronicles isn't in their database yet). Go here to preorder XB.

I've been getting this error message when trying to complete my order-

"Unfortunately we have not been able to complete your order online in this instance. For your protection, we have a series of comprehensive anti-fraud and safety measures. However, these can sometimes be triggered for wholly innocent reasons. Please contact our Customer Services Team on 0871 200 1221 to complete placing your order on this occasion."

Any ideas on how to solve this?

Keep in mind that you MUST have a Wii that can play PAL-region games.

Xenoblade Chronicles has been confirmed to come out in North America! W00T!!!

Press release-

XENOBLADE CHRONICLES COMING TO NINTENDO'S WII CONSOLE IN SPRING

Dec. 2, 2011

It's man vs. machine in a new game coming to Nintendo's Wii™ console in spring. Xenoblade Chronicles™ asks players to use the Monado blade to take on a seemingly endless series of invading Mechon robots in a sweeping role-playing adventure.

The main character is Shulk, a weapons researcher who must confront the Mechon by wielding the ancient Monado blade. It's the only weapon that has any effect against the Mechon, and it also enables Shulk to see the future.

Players can customize their characters with a variety of weapons and armor choices, as well as headgear, boots and gloves. As in many role-playing games, players can then gain experience and upgrade their characters. Players can watch their enemies, learn their tactics and unleash real-time counterattacks.

The vast open world of Xenoblade Chronicles is ripe for exploration. Players can avert their focus from the main story and venture out looking for other challenges and side quests. Hidden areas and unique monsters are scattered throughout the game's massive world, which players can explore freely.

Xenoblade Chronicles has already launched in Japan and Europe, and has received unanimously positive reviews, including several perfect scores.

Xenoblade Chronicles will be available exclusively through U.S. GameStop retail locations, http://www.gamestop.com and http://www.nintendo.com at a suggested retail price of $49.99 in the United States. Additional information about the game will be announced in the future. For more information, visit http://xenobladechronicles.nintendo.com.
you know let me do this, If you are seriously interested in a copy for under 60 bucks with a wiimote, PM me but only serious ppl so I can show my bosses and show them this would be a good idea especially for pandora and Last Story so we do this again.

I'll show them the demand and I imagine they would be more happy, so we can do something like this more, plus i'll put ppl who pm me on a list so they get first dibs.

Glad to see my idea is liked.
Definitely on board with this. Sent you a PM.
i understand people don't but you have to realize i only got this idea excepted because of the attached wii mote, there would be 0 point in us just importing the game and selling it when we aren't even a game company.

So for sure we will not be selling it game only, just one of our wii motes choice between 4 and the game for all of them. Sorry
I understand, I was just curious if you might be able to do a different accessory for Last Story or Pandora?

Got my copy today from game.co.uk

While I messed up on the city, the package still made it to me which is nice.
Can't wait to play some after work today.

awesome still waiting on my copy which is in the order im doing for everyone.

So I have had some ppl asking and ill answer some questions..

1. Ill be doing the preorder method for everyone. Once I get the Tracking number from our factory to let me know when they ship I'll set everything up, I imagine it will arrive anywhere from 1-3 weeks with customs. This will also give me all the info including our cost price for the game, so I will have a good of how much it will be looking to be about 55-65 before priority flat rate shipping so we are looking at 60-70 after shipping.

2. We will not be telling ppl how to mod or providing anything to do so, there was an article on joystiq when Xenoblades was released on how to do so.

3. I will be linking everyone who pmed me to an ebay account first which will have the game and a choice between 4 different wii motes (technically 2 different wii motes, with 2 colors each). So you get a copy of EU Xenoblade, and a wii mote of your choice for the price listed, and when the items come in we will ask you guys to pay for your auction, or if you did well you paid already so it will be out the day we get it. PP is always the best for these transactions since everyone can deal with it.

Why the fuck can't Nintendo bring this stateside?! :hot:

Call them and politely tell them to do so:

Here's Nintendo's number:

1-800-255-3700

Press "0" at the prompts
Don't be rude, don't be an ass. Be polite.

been there tried that, we did mass emailing, calling and petition when Operation Rainfall started and all they said was:

"thank you for your support be we have no plans blah blah blah...."

and as for Euro/US voice acting it would be the same VA's for us, normally some well known VA's would be a part of this.

That sounds legit. Looking forward to it.

Just as a heads up for those of you that cannot wait, Amazon Italy has the game in stock and will ship to the US. The instructions will more than likely be in Italian, but the game (like most European editions) has 5 selectable languages (English, Italian, Spanish, German & French).

Here is the link to Italian Xenoblade goodness. The game is running for a smooth €40.49 ($55.38),

With shipping the costs are as follows:
 • Standard Shipping (10-15 days) €47.74 ($65.20)
 • Expedited Shipping (1-5 days) €53.74 ($73.39)

I have decided to order this as having the game within a week was just too tempting (even with RockmanPET's offer). I will let you all know if the instructions are in Italian once it arrives :)
Are the UK Xenoblade instructions in english?
Yes, they are printed in fine, easy to understand, British English.

My order from Amazon.it shipped yesterday. I am curious if the manual will be in English.

Received the game today (in two days!) from Amazon Italy. The instructions are in Italian only, but I am very satisfied that I finally have this game in my hands after all the crap I went through with Gameplay UK (an offshoot of Game UK)

Now to get the game running on my US Wii ;)

Thank you for this tip. I actually just placed an order for it. I am looking forward to receiving it! :)

Edit (my love letter to Nintendo):

Dear Nintendo of America,
You can kiss my sweet behind because I just ordered Xenoblade Chronicles from Europe.

I guess Nintendo of Europe likes money.

Love,
Rob

P.S. fuck you.

for everyone I left waiting, since it was a bigger order they just shipped it via fed ex so I imagine it to be here in a week so i'll start contacting ppl soon

For those even on the fence about this game, it's the best RPG I personally have ever played. Fantastically accessible, great music, really great gameplay, never turns into a grindfest if you don't want it to, and no random battles is an immediate win in my book. The characters are fun, it's a HUGE game, and completely breathtaking despite being on the Wii.

When the camera pans out in one of the opening scenes, it literally took my breath away (yes, literally).

Please buy this game, please.

I'd love to be in your shoes, playing it for the first time again..., and believe you me I've played a LOT of RPGs over the last 30+ years I've been gaming. This just takes the cake.

What's this about a North American company wanting to distribute it in North America? Can someone give me a PM? I now have the funds to buy the game, but don't feel like going through any of the British companies.

Well, supposedly thehut.com dispatched my copy. It bothers me, though, that they didn't charge for international shipping, even though everything in the address is specified correctly. I hope it gets delivered properly...

It's been awhile but the games are almost here, so to everyone who waited thanks I will be msging everyone in order to place down their order for the item which should be here in a week or so now

on a side note the games price was about 57 before shipping on our side = damn dollar being worth so little right now lol

Still waiting on my Zavvi Order. It was shipped 2 days before the rest of my order (2 other games) and they showed up on wednesday. Must get this game soon to play!

I just ordered a copy of the LE from Amazon.de. Came out to $90 after shipping.

Edit: Interesting, just noticed the the standard edition says it has English, while the Limited edition says German only...

sadly the price was about 10 dollars more than i wanted it to be, thanks to the euro so if anyone is unhappy sorry about that but I wanted to do the best, toss in the controller add ebay fees and shipping plus the bonus controller and we don't make anything off it.

yah the game is amazing. only thing im worried on is skyward sword being able to be played on my wii. if anyone can explain what id need to do so i can play it please pm me.

I preordered from Zavvi before it came out and I still don't have the game.

I contacted Zavvi customer support and requested a replacement. I then had to wait for a letter to arrive for me to sign and mail back.

It seems I'm never going to play this. The gamble of importing I guess...
I'm 60 hours into the game and I still don't see the end in sight.

Insanity.
Same here. I just can't stop questing and exploring! It's so rewarding to encounter a new UM (unique monster) or hearing the chime for discovering a new landmark. The only downside is all the questing and exploration has left my party about 12-15 levels overpowered for their respective part of the story, but there are still UMs hiding out there that can be a challenge. Coming back to Colony 9 and handing a previously unbeatable UM it's @$$ is such a great feeling ;)

One of the reasons I LOVE Xenoblade is that, despite the game's (optional) length, the game itself RESPECTS THE PLAYER'S TIME by providing a useful quest log, fast travel from the outset, an NPC chart with what time NPCs are active, a save anywhere feature, a clock that you can alter the time of day anytime, notices of what items will be future quest items, icons on the maps for quests and quest items, etc. There's just none of the typical RPG BS that artificially lengthens game time. Even the drop rates are surprisingly reasonable!

I do love all those features. The only time the NPC thing pisses me off is in one particular town where it's impossible to remember what floor a certain quest NPC is on.

What I find myself more impressed with is the presentation. There are so many moments where you think, "Wow, this is really beautiful." The graphics are obviously limited because of the hardware, but the art design, music, and the depth of the characters really does shine through. The latter resonates because of the wonderful voice acting. Not to forget the sheer scope of the world as a whole. The devs really went out of their way to create a living, breathing world, and it's amazing to think that virtually every nook and cranny can be explored with dozens of areas left to be discovered.

To answer the story question, I'll say that it's very ambitious. It paces the storytelling very well and you really do feel connected with the characters you meet on your journey. The entirety of the story doesn't change, but rather gradually unfolds in a manner to make you better understand everything you've seen so far.

Excellent game.
Thanks! I ordered it even though it says "Usually Dispatched Within A Month" I figured I've been waiting for a while what is one more month. To my delight it shipped this morning even though I just ordered it Saturday.
You won't regret it, the game's awesome. Even though I posted that a while ago, it was in stock until recently... so it looks like it sold out again at some retailers.:applause:

NoA, you missed out.

Anyone have an idea how long it takes for shipping from GAME? They don't say how its shipped. I'm assuming slowboat US Mail. Can't wait to get mine though.

if they do normal mail could take 2 weeks to 2 months depending if customs decides to take a look at it and such. taking 3 weeks via usps -.- but then again i ordered 20

I've never waited longer than 10 working days or so for a Game.UK order and I live on the West Coast. They use airmail and it's generally pretty speedy.

Just so everyone knows, I got my copy in from thehut.com. Working great, and it came within two weeks, which is pretty impressive. Final cost to me was just shy of $50, which is not bad at all.

EDIT: Also, just in case it wasn't clear, the version they're selling is not the super-deluxe boxed version with the red Classic Controller Pro. It's just the game, but for the price, that's fine by me. The other package runs a crazy amount at GAME after the currency exchange rate takes you for a ride. :p
