What..? The only one that never did was Disgaea, but it got reprinted and still stayed at $50.
La Pucelle, Phantom Brave, Makai Kingdom all saw substantial price drops.
And $60 for Lunar SSSC on Ebay... isn't that a price drop? I thought that big box was $70 or $80 when it released.
You're right, I was refering to the more recent ones, Magna Carta, Atelier Iris. Makai Kingdom well, it's still around 40 bucks, that's not a real substancial drop. See, the last part about Lunar SSSC, I can find it for 60 bucks used. New ones costs 80+ dollars.
Look man, the reprint issue I refer to is not just recent games in general, I mean across the board, like PS1, Genesis, Sega Saturn games.
Actually, I do this all the time. If it's something I can't have on Day 1, I'll decide a price I would be willing to pay for it and wait for the inevitable drop.
A couple of recent examples: Suikoden Tactics and Lost in Blue. For ST, I decided that $30 was the price I was willing to pay and picked one up this week at EB. I'm sure it will probably drop to $20 or lower but I didn't want to take that chance with this game. For Lost In Blue, I finally found one at a Best Buy and used their $10 off coupon to get it for $20 on Tuesday. I didn't want to pay more than $20 for it and was very happy with getting it at that price.
Then there are some games that I'll wait for to drop to $10 or $5 (as many have been known to do). But with those, there is a greater risk of not getting them since the $5 price point is very attractive to gamers and non-gamers alike. Well, except if you're looking for Turok: Evolution
FINALLY! Someone who understand what the heck I was talking about.
