There was a teaser commercial during the All-Star Game, which got me excited for next month to finally get here. If I recall correctly there was snippets of Schofield getting on a train with the shotgun-wielding cop (forgot name) trying to catch him and there was Lincoln and two other escapees in a forest and then some shot of the redneck guy somewhere. Sorry for the non-descriptive descriptions, but it's better than nothing. Hopefully someone gets it up on youtube or somewhere for everyone to see.Who else can't wait for the second season (right?) of Prison Break?

------------------------------------------------

The day we've been waiting for is almost here, as tomorrow starts off the new season. Feel free to talk up the new season or about the past season. I'm watching this past season on DVD before it starts.

excellent news.
Even though I've only seen 1/2 the series (up until the break it took), I really enjoyed what I saw and I'm "acquiring" the rest of the series.

Wow, maybe I should have watched the All-Star game afterall. This is excellent news. I don't have to wait until next year, which is when I thought the next season is going to be (with 24).

Nope, it's going to be airing with one of their new action shows (Vanished?) to hopefully get that to become popular, too.

Aug 21 seems way early for a show to premiere but I'm not complaining. Prison Break was one of my favorite shows of last season. That along with 24 made Monday the best day of the week.

As for it being the second season, I've actually heard people refer to the spring half of the season as the second season and fox did call the last episode of the fall season the finale, IIRC.

I believe the story with that is that they didn't expect to make more episodes at the end of the fall season, so the spring season was sort of a part 2 to the first set of episodes. That's on the basis of being told otherwise in the Prison Break Season 1 DVD.
why are they releasing on aug. 21st? it seems way too early and they should do it after the MLB playoffs.
Yea it does seem pretty early but i'm not complaining :)

for starters...the reason why prison break was split up was due to the baseball games and other shit popping up on Monday nights that pre empted the show. The last couple of episodes at the end of the fall half had lost some steam. They were originally supposed to restart the 2nd half of the first season in late may early June. Due to letters/emails sent to fox, they bumped it up on the schedule. From what I have read, fox likes to start there shows at least 2 wks before the other networks start up again. They want people to get hooked on there new shows, as well as have add new viewership to there existing lineup. Prison Break is schedule to start sooner then they usually do, because of the baseball. It really hurt there numbers last year.

the mrs will be joyous! as prison break and 24 were the only MUST WATCH shows for both of us... everything else we could always catch later....

man, who else didn't see
Veronica's death coming at all?

btw OP, throw a spoiler warning on the thread title so we won't need to use spoiler tags in here

I missed the first few minutes... first thing I saw was...

the cons jumping onto a train with Bellick behind them. What happened? I thought at the end of the last season it was like the middle of the night and they were at the airfield with the plane having just taken off? How did they get there?

iirc, they were just running in the woods during the day...I don't know how much you missed, but it wasn't much.

Future show spoiler per tvguide.com

"there will be more bloodshed coming soon in upcoming episodes. It looks like there will be another cast member killed".......My personal take is the president. I am pretty sure that she has signed on with another series.

The disappearing scrapes on Lincoln's and Bellick's faces was really driving me mad. Don't the editors notice this shit before they air the show?!
another decent episdoe last night...i like tweener out on his own
I like the girl Tweener met:D.
Tweener himself is rather irritating, although (thankfully) he's toned it down since they got out.
he is supposed to revert back to the charming funny guy
I hope so because for some reason I don't want him to take that girl hostage or kill her for her car.

I'm pretty sure he won't though.

not like Tweener's a "real" criminal anyways
he got 5 years for grand larceny after stealing a really damn rare baseball card which he didnt even know was part of the collection, remember?

I doubt he'd kill someone, no matter how desperate he was

Not nearly as irritating as the varying hair/beard/stubble lengths.

Awesome first two eps. Tweener was pretty hilarious. He couldnt have acted ANY shadier in the train station.

I'm confused about last episode:

How many seconds did the Burrows boys have before the car blew up? How the hell did Lincoln change the station on the car radio and still have enough time to get away from the car? He must be jacked on adrenaline, because he told his brother he couldn't keep going after he got shot in the leg, and after they pushed the car off the bridge, he was running like an Olympic sprinter. It just seems unlikely that they'd be able to get away from the car before the Feds rolled up on the scene (they weren't that far away).

This season is not as good as last season. I'm finding too many things to nit-pick about.

I give them the benefit of the doubt that there were at least one or two stations when Lincoln climbed into the car, but you're right, getting shot in the leg for him seem to be forgotten.

Last night's episode was a bit sad for me. I liked Abruzzi.

you shouldn't need spoiler tags on stuff that happened last night..

lots of holes in this years show...and it was only 1 radio station, as linc asked his brother....

future episode spoiler

it appears you will see several more cast member killed over the next several weeks...at least one in the next 3 wks

That's not much of a spoiler really. I've been figuring that would happen anyway. At any rate, thanks for the confirmation.
yeah, but some people get upsed if i hadn't put it in spoiler tags...
Yeah I understand, believe me, I'm not criticizing you at all but
people gotta know that more characters are gonna die. If you included who was dying I probably would have been mad at myself for reading it but its a very slight spoiler at best, in my opinion.

One of the best episodes of the season this time around.

I'm confused, though. Whose file is it that the FBI agent keeps looking at in the "control room"? The bald guy with the beard. He wasn't part of the escape party.

I believe it's the one person who the FBI dude (forgot his name) couldn't catch. He doesn't want Scofield (and the fugitives) to end up like what happened with the bald guy. That's why, uh, he did some relatively questionable things this last episode.

I see, so Agent Mahone (I had to look his name up) is using the other dude as an example of what not to do in the Burrows case? He's trying to learn from his past mistakes?

basically, i think he carries that file around so he is constantly reminded not to screw up and let michael get away like that guy did

Opinions on tonight? I liked it. The begining was completely hilarious. I still think Haywire's screwed. Can't wait for next week. The action is JUST heating up =D

Yeah...that was it. I'm on it now. Weirdness.

EDIT: I'm 100% sure this is a dummy site too.
europeangoldfinch.net? Was that the forum Michael mentioned? Did anybody else check it out?
Do I smell a "visit online to see clues/messages" tie-in?

No--It's a dummy site. There arent even any forums you can read or post in. Theres nothing on it.

What's interesting is that its hosted by godaddy.com. Is it possible someone watching the episode tonight saw the URL wasn't being used and quickly snatched it up?
