[quote name='Smokingpistol']By the way theres been an update to cutteridge mansion if you own it that adds quite a few new things including new picture frame slots, sound effects, weather control, a glowing ghost ball in the yard to kick around and is possessed, a built in pandoras box, and last but not least, a hand item reward called the necronomicopedia (pocket edition) which bears a little resemblence to the necronomicon from the evil dead movies

Thanks for the heads up! I remember shortly after they released this space there was a lot of chatter about all the various unpublicized features in the space, and how much fun everyone was having discovering things like the secret passage upstairs that leads to the mirror at the top of the stairs, which is a two-way mirror so you can spy on people... or do the R1 "Boo" to reach through the mirror to the other side.
Then there is the wondering crying lady who vanishes if you get too close, and much much more. Then there was the discovery of the hole under the stairs and through the wall of the fireplace that lead to a massive amount of speculation... and it only got more bizarre when it was discovered that if you used the ghost glitch, you could see where those holes lead to... a miniature room with miniature furniture and empty bottle spread around.... the update does not appear to have changed that though.
The locked door on the 2nd floor was also a hot topic. Unlike the mouse hole, I don't think anyone has gotten into the locked room yet, but with this new update... one might not want to based on the sound coming from behind the door!
I like the ability to select the weather (using the painting). We now have three settings (no storm, random, storm). As much as I like the storm effects and sounds, I personally recommend turning off the storm (and cranking up your sound system), as it makes it much easier to hear all the new sound effects, and with a good bass... quite a listening experience!
Also, I found out where that glowing ball is coming from... just stand near the well, and not only will you see that same glowing light coming from below, but once in a while you'll hear the laughter of a little girl, and she'll throw the ball out from within the well. The ball will also move on its own, even if you don't kick it.
Having the built in Pandora's Box is great, as it wont eat up an active item slot / 12 items, and its a perfect addition to that space!
This was one of my favorite spaces when it first came out, and it's only gotten better!
EDIT: I just noticed another change, if you look into the mirror at the top of the stairs, after a while you'll see ghostly images flash on it... and no, I'm not talking about the actual ghosts that swipe at you if you stand still for too long.
They also seemed to have increased the level of ambient light (as it was VERY dark before), but if you feel its still too dark to see a lot of the detail in the space, just increase the gamma setting in your Home video settings menu, or on your TV.
