PS One LCDs $13 @ K-Mart

K-Mart is clearing them out...$13 gets you a PSone LCD. I have no idea what other stuff is on clearance there, but I just picked up a couple to trade - if anyone is interested shoot me a PM.

K-mart i mentioned above let me pricematch the LCDs i paid $26 and $13 for, as well as the PsONe itself - no complaints about that store.

I tried hooking one into my PS2 and the screen was all green-tinted. My guess is there's a slightly different pinout on the PSone than the PS2. How did you hook yours up? Composite video?

I've experienced this wierd phenomenon too, but when I do finaly get them to scan something and it's a differn't price then the sticker I get a real good sense of superiority.

Nah I unscrewed the whole thing and just connected it directly. Mine was also green. To fix it go into your PS2 options and under settings change it from "Composite yb....." Or something like that to "RGB" It will look fine after that.

One last shot for me. I'm in the Chicago-area for a few days due to a family emergency, and have quite a list of Kmarts to scavenge this weekend. Hopefully something will turn up. *fingers crossed*

Let's see.....family emergency issues....LCD screen.....family emergency issues.....LCD screen.......alright, let's go with LCD screen, the obvious choice.
 
I work at the LA K-Mart in Fairfax. Positive some of you were looking for the lcds. The only thing I saw in the stock room were the GC Wavebirds bundled with Mario Party, when I checked the price it was rining up at 69.99 (still a high price.) Pretty much that kmart doesn't carry PSX goods anymore, just some random titles ( mostly sport titles.)

he never said what the emergency is. someone could've broken their arm...big deal. and if someone was really ill, why sulk around? you can still get out and do things. if someone dies is it better to just sit alone in your room and sulk?

First, it was a joke.

Second, a broken arm doesn't qualify as emergent in my book, but who knows in this case.

Third, it's not sulking, it's called compassion and care.

Actually, my niece was just recently born with a heart defect, and just underwent major surgery. Visiting hours are extremely limited due to the severity of things, so yes, there is a lot of free time. We won't even be able to visit until tomorrow anyhow, so I'm trying to get some things taken care of. Visiting relatives, old friends and may as well do a little 'shopping' while I'm here.

If you have another Kmart nearby, i suggest trying to pricematch to 13, even if they dont have any in stock.
 
I hit 2 Kmarts and the second one had one. It was a store return (and might have been returned years ago), but for $13 its fine by me. I'm going to buy the adapters and use it on xbox :)

Hmm...that's an interesting idea...may have to try it, as I do have a Kmart on the way home from work (not the same one that I got it from)...
 
What are the chances I will be able to snag one come Thanksgiving when I can actually go home and look for one. Or should I just EB it?

I was just in Richmond, VA for work, and dropped by a K-Mart. The lady said there was 8, I picked up 3, 1 for myself, and 2 for a friend. She had to get them out of the back though. The store is off of Highway 150 at the Midloathian (sp?) parkway. Good luck to any Richmond CAG'ers.
 
I've given up on this deal... I've searched several stores in both Western PA and a few more in NW Indiana, nothing at ANY of them. The wife ended up getting fed up after the fifth store so I decided a few more and that was it. *sigh* Oh well...

So, you spent $100 on PSone LCDs......why did you get seven of them? For hoarding purposes?

These things are great for projects of any kind. In-car dvd player, screen on your computer, etc. $13 brand new beats the crap out of $26 used at eb. I was prepared to buy 20 of them.
 
Lack of an availability of a kmart around me for another month forced me to pick up a screen from eb for 22.50. My cables to adapt it should be coming today or tomorrow. Hopefully when I go home thanksgiving, my kmart will have some more.
