XBOX will not follow suite. We know for a fact that Nintendo has a good policy and they always support their system till the end (N64 games didn't end production until 2001). Sony, while I hate their PR concerning dirty tactics

, they actually support their systems - reason why NBA 2k5, etc., for PSone are still floating around retailers. MS, on the other hand, since the 360 has been out, every major developer, ESPECIALLY the 1st party DEVs, totally just jumped ship and no longer care about the xbox fans who aren't so fast (and rich) to pick up the 360. Is that MS policy to come for years?
What awesome GCN game will we see this year? Zelda TP
What awesome PS2 game will (did) we see this year? FFXII (or MGS3 Sub)
What awesome Xbox game will we see this year? ...Ghost Recon! Blue Dragon! N3! Oh wait, those are all for 360.
OK, first of all, Ghost Recon is for Xbox 1 as well, and it's made by Ubi Soft, not MS. Second of all, Nintendo doesn't have a new system to push yet, and aside from Zelda, there hasn't been JACK for gamecube for the last year. Third, FFXII and MGS3 Subsistence aren't Sony published or developed titles (nor is NBA 2K5). The big three will always be pushing their new hardware with their development resources, thats how they promote the new hardware. Everything else has nothing to do with their "policy" and everything to do with consumer demand. Tons of people were still buying PSOne games long into PS2's lifespan, so the third parties kept pumping out games. It's a supply and demand model.
Finally, Xbox 1 has plenty of good titles coming out this year. The aforementioned Ghost Recon, Godfather, Far Cry Instincts Evolution, MLB 2K6, Stacked, Tomb Raider Legend, DreamFall, Hitman: Blood Money, And 1 Streetball, etc etc..
PS2 has a similar long list of titles coming out this year. The only straggler at this point is my beloved Gamecube...
