PS4 still has no good games

At least not worth owning one.

Sony is too focused with remastered renditions rather then new content.

I mean they did it on ps3 with all the ps2 hd collections. Now they are doing that with ps4.

I'm in no rush to get one when half of ps4's library of good games is on ps3 as well.

Most of the cross gen games run and look like shit on PS3. Plus you get the better controller, share features, party chat, and everything else on PS4. I honestly cant go back to my PS3 now, it feels so ancient. I agree that theres been a lot of unnecessary ports like sleeping dogs and DMC though.

I don't know what you'd be looking for at this point if you still think there's no games worth playing on the PS4. There's been tons of fantastic games released in the past year, if you're narrow minded and don't want to play anything but AAA fps games or shit like that then that's your own fault, and you're missing out on lots of good stuff.

Uhhhh...... The PS4 has a ton of great games on it right now. Granted the exclusives are few and far between right now. You definitely won't be getting the same experience on the PS3 with a lot of the multi-platform games. Take Shadows of Mordor for example, excellent on current-gen, but meh on last-gen.

No one is forcing you to jump into the PS4 right now, but there certainly isn't a lack of quality titles available on the console right now.

There's a great selection of games right now what are you talking about? Oh wait you don't even have one so you're basing your argument on a system you don't own having no good games when you've never even played any of them.

Correction, there are no games that YOU believe are good or are not worth owning on the PS4.

This is like the Wii U all over again. "OMG WII U DEAD. IT HAZ NO GAMES." and then you look at it today and we see "WHY YOU SHOULD BUY A WII U. IT HAZ GAMES."

Give it some time, stop moaning about your purchase (if you are a PS4 owner) when everyone has told you that the first few years of a console lifespan is weak and you'd be better off waiting.

If you aren't a PS4 owner, why are you even complaining? Go off enjoy games on whatever console you own, you have no right to complain about something you don't even own.

Umm sony has only put out one remaster. The others are third-party lol
Ding, ding, ding. I don't know what the op is complaining about.

"Last Of Us" is the ONLY Sony remaster I've seen.

As people have mentioned there's Mordor, Wolfenstein which I've heard is good, Diablo 3(yeah, it's from the last gen. but this includes the expansion), Infamous Second(if it plays the same as previous games), etc.

I really would like to know what on the One stands out for you because reading the beginning it seems as if there's something truly driving you to the One.

I didn't see anything about the One being mentioned. Way to take the thread from stupid to full retard.

No it don't, so far it's terribly disappointing, but what else do you expect but a year or two crash after ps3's last 3 years were perhaps the most epic in gaming history , every super hi has to come back down low

bohooooooo hooo cry me a freaking river-- welp my ps4 has no games :( welp---shouldve done your research if you bought one--

I do think the PS4 is lacking exclusive titles, or at least lacking a home run exclusive. But there are so many great multiplat games, that it shouldn't be difficult to find something to play.

I went with the One to start this gen because of the exclusives (Dead Rising and Forza at launch). But will finally have a PS4 in a couple weeks that I'll be keeping. Excited to be able to take advantage of what it'll have to offer soon - really want to play The Order

What many mean, or at least a Sony exclusive fan, PsX to ps4, I'm EXTREMELY ADAMANtly shocked the next gen games are not half as good as PS3,

but the real shame isn't that ps4 has mediocre library , cuz xbone has almost same library tho the hardware console is absolutely trash ( wii u is more powerful lol) - it's that the Sony exclusives except for knack are practically either crap or only 1/4 of what they should be at best

I had it since launch and the only good game, through and through was knack for exclusives and shadow of mordor for cross

So yeah it's disappointing but if I know my boys at Sony, in 1 year they are gonna blow the next gen worlds minds, considering everything in year 1 launch was totally rushed, I think their poor job really isn't all that half bad, half assed tho mind u

Have faith

Your posts and are sounding stupider and stupider by the day. I also see you've hit the Timboslice level of spelling and grammar so great job on that.

I still kinda want to try Knack though Sigma.

I do agree with him about Mordor being great though.
It's not as bad as people make it out to be. It's reminds me the Xbox 360 launch title, Kameo. I am actually surprised it hasn't been free on PS+ yet, but I am sure it will be sooner rather than later.

I agree that Mordor is excellent as well and I am not into Middle-Earth at all.

Now I wanna buy "Knack". I liked "Kameo" till it shit the bed with the swimming mechanics.

I have a sneaking suspicion that you are all being trolled by the OP. Even if you weren't, what's the point in spending the time to respond to such a half-assed point? Is it therapeutic or something, like a punching bag? This is why I can't watch Conan O'Brien clips on Youtube without the comments section being dominated by a "Obama is gay" thread.

I like my Ps4.  I like it less than my PC by a lot, and less than My Wii U.  But it's basically interchangeable with my Xbone.  I enjoyed having an excuse to plat TLOU.

I do agree lack of exclusives is pretty noticeable.  If you have a mid-high end gaming PC the PS4 is kind of redundant.  But if you are a gaming enthusiast... well the exclusives are coming and it's not as though the system is five hundred ninety nine you ess dollahs.

I would disagree with you in terms of exclusives.  I have a One like you but find myself searching for the exclusives I want.  I'm looking at DR3, Ryse and Crimson Dragon.  Now I'm looking at Swery's XBLA game.  Maybe I'll buy Halo MCC but I'm appalled at the clusterfuck that was starting out with the online.  I would like Forza 5 but the DLC nickel and diming that I've heard is enough to turn me off and I'm a racing game fan.  Wait, wait.  I almost forgot Project Spark.  I will be grabbing that.

For the PS4 I've bagged Infamous and Killzone.  I plan on grabbing Knack and Driving Club.  Well since they've fixed Driving Club.  Also looking at LBP3.

While these aren't Sony games they are exclusive.  Just look at:  "Natural Doctrine", "Akiba's Trip:  Undead and Undressed" and there may be a few others.  I can't think of any non-Microsoft games being published that are exclusive.  The only one that looked like it was going to happen was "Rise Of the Tomb Raider" but so many Sony fans bitched and moaned so we're getting it.

If that was exclusive I wouldn't mind as they could really optimize it for the One and work on adding more content.

I can't tell if it's just times changing, but this generation feels 'weird' to me in a sense that I have zero interest in it.  I bought a PS4, played a few games for it around launch and have literally not touched it since.  I'm not sure if it's franchise fatigue or what, but all the sequels and uninteresting new IPs have just left me uncaring of the single-player market.  I'd say I'm just burning out on gaming but FFXIV keeps me plenty busy otherwise.  Normally I'd balance MMOs with other games, but nothing has appealed to me since the start of this generation.

As for the future, all I see are more sequels or spin-offs and I can't be fussed. : \

I understand Jodou.  For single player, some of the stuff that stood out to me on the last gen. was on the Wii like:  "Cursed Mountain" and "Madworld".  Also "Folklore".  Then when I saw the video for "Gravity Rush" for Vita I got interested as well.

Games like that seem to be few and far between now that Sega is effectively dead with Sammy at the wheel.

Takes about two years for a console to really be able to stand on its own, imo.  I didn't have much interest in buying a PS3 until 2008.

This generation has something else going for it, though, and that is that the new releases from the last generation are now getting superior versions on PS4 right away.  I'm not talking about the "definitive editions," but rather the games that are just now being released on both platforms simultaneously.  For games like Destiny, Diablo III: UEE, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, etc., you could play them on PS3, but the experience is much better on PS4.  This type of thing has happened in the past, sure (you could buy Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 on either PS1 or PS2), but it seems to be much more frequent this time around.

It's still early and the library isn't completely there yet, but we're now at a point where having a PS4 gives you the opportunity to buy the better version of a new release, and we're only a few months from the point where the PS4 starts being a requirement for many new releases.  Bloodborne and Disgaea 5 are the two main games on my radar for that.

That's the way I look at it, anyway.  My prediction is that the PS4's library will be much better by the end of 2015.

Maybe PS4 doesn't have any system sellers but no good games is a huge stretch.  The library was about what you're supposed to expect for year one.  2015 is shaping up to be insane.

I tend to agree for the moment, but this is true in any console generation.  I always stay with the last-gen for the first 3-4 years of a new console cycle, during which I get to TRY and get down my backlog and the console makers work out all the kinks and I get to jump in when the prices come down (and some of the marquee titles are also cheaper).

In the meanwhile, I allocate funds to make sure I pick up those last-gen games that are assuredly not coming to the new consoles :)

I bought ps3 when it came out and resistance was awesome. I bought ps4 when it came out and destiny is really the first thing that I've stuck with. The launch titles were just ok and I dont see myself going back to any of them.

What is "Apotheon"?

p.s.  What is "Amplitude""s songlist like?  More underground like "Frequency" or commercial like it's namesake?  If it was both I could tolerate it.  If it's all popular there is no way I'm buying it.

Harmonix has said that they are focusing on a more electronic based soundtrack, so probably not much of the pop stuff from the previous Amplitude. One would hope that with DLC they will eventually have a little something for everyone.

My fans never fail... Like I said, anyone who knows anything about the essence of video games can see what I mean. Sony never starts anything the same way, within a year this showcase will turn into the most powerful console yet. I always bet on sony, altho the/my "fans" here are an example of what kind of garbage a free network attracts, so I'm also glad they charge to deter further mutations ;)

I think you when you sign on as an early adopter to a new generation you can't conplain about the lack of a great library. I can't think of any generation that launched with a huge library or even a great headliner at first. Give these game developers time and they will deliver s better product.

The real problem I see is that I don't think a fresh concept has been developed yet. I have been playing games for over 30 years now. What new revelation is going to give us that wow feeling. I mean when fps games hit the market it ushered in a generation of great games with fresh concepts. How many concepts are left? When open world gaming came on the scene it was unreal. You mean I don't have to follow a straight line? Wow! Now it is just meh.

To me all the games feel like the same stuff over and over. Take Shadow of Mordor. Cool game. Follows the same go fetch formula as tons of games but how many missions do I need to rescue slaves? I'm 40 hours in. Probably be 50 when I finish. I would give up half that and be stoked if I was given fresh stuff instead repetitive type quests.

I feel with how much everything cost to put out a top shelf product, developers are afraid to try and be fresh and ground breaking. If your wrong, and your not a major player, you just cost everyone thier jobs. (Curt schilling?)

I also feel today's gamers just want beautiful games. Games were a better product when most of the development resources are used in story development and quality of said story.

Great example is the DnD franchise. If you have ever played Ssi's gold box games you know what I mean. Give me a modern day curse of the azure bonds anydaty over the next installment of call of duty.

Oh well. Sorry for rambling on.
