Simply put has anyone seen these go on sale, off sale, and back on sale? Ever?
IIRC, PJ Eden was on sale two different times but I don't think anything else has been.

:bomb: (my son felt my post needed a guy with a boo boo)
Please take any PSN gamesharing posts to the appropriate thread in the PS3 forum. Don't discuss that in this thread or any other deal thread.

I wasn't. I was describing a game that is on sale, for the benefit of others who might be interested in it. My use of the word 'group' was in reference to forming a group of people who would meet and play the game online together.

But thanks for deleting my post anyway.
No shit, when did the word Group ever imply game-sharing.

I'd be interested in getting groups together for cell factor or TMNT. the former would certainly need it, doesn't seem that game ever had much of an online user base.

Interesting that I'm planning on buying cell factor but passed on BF1943. Bots just make this seem like a safer purchase for me, since I know EA will eventually shutdown the BF servers, leaving me with a worthless game.

Add me for TMNT

Game company EA has announced that it will be shutting down online service for "some older EA titles". Included in the list is football game Madden NFL 09 (PS3 and Xbox 360), which was released in August 2008. EA, it seems, has a different definition of "old". 2009 just ended, days ago! Here is the list of titles whose online service will cease on February 2, 2010.
UEFA Champions League 07 PC and x360
Facebreaker x360 and PS3
Fantasy Football 09 x360 and PS3
FIFA 07 PSP, PS2, PC
Fight Night Round 3 PS2
Madden 08 Wii
Madden 08 PC
Madden 09 Xbox1
Madden 09 Wii and PSP
March Madness 07 x360
NBA 07 PSP, x360
NBA 08 PS2, PSP, Wii
NBA 09 Wii - Europe only
NBA Street (2007) PS3 and x360
NCAA Football 08 PS2
NCAA Football 09 PS2
NASCAR 08 PS2
NASCAR 09 PS2
NASCAR 09 PS3 and x360 - Europe Only
NFL Tour PS3 and x360
NHL 07 PSP and x360
NHL 08 PC
Tiger Woods 07 PC
Madden 09 x360 and PS3
Madden 07 Xbox 360

I seriously doubt they would shut down service for 1943... at least anytime soon...maybe ten years from now... but notice that the list is all sports titles.

Agree. B: 1943 is one of their most popular online games (especially for the PS3) for not being a sports title. That, and the fact they more than likely got a seriously spike in revenue (and gamers) due to the sale, I don't think they'll be shutting down their server for it. However, I can see somewhere down the line them shutting down the 360 server (too many issues with connectivity, etc.), but then again they also just had a sale on it there.

is the sale still live? I can't tell from logging into the PSN Store.

edit: yup they're still live. The PSN Store sucks at announcing sales.

it sucks at announcing sales, and it also sucks at browsing games
I'd wish they just had a permanent button on top to click for all pricedrops, sales and deals

The special offers page in the store actually shows those, for recent ones at least.

The PSN Store sucks at displaying information, IMO. Needs a complete do-over.

Bit on Cellfactor Psychokinetic Wars for $5. Got it for offline bot deathmatch. Not a bad title for when you just have five minutes to kill, don't want to get up and change discs in the ps3, and you feel like shooting something.
It was a decent sale. I was able to buy $5 TMNT.
This is what I wanted!!! Guess I'll have to wait...

Damn! That would of been a good buy.
Do they regularly have weekly or bi-weekly sales or is it only a once in a while thing?
Looks like they are doing something every week now
