Sometimes when I have nothing to do while at work I visit the store and throw Sonic Rivals, Sonic Rivals 2, and Sonic CD in my cart. I started to think well I have that Vita TV, the Rivals games would be good for that and Sonic CD is one of the best 2D ones (have it on PC) etc. etc. The thing is I'll NEVER fuck ing play them. Luckily I stopped myself from the purchase. Damn free time and cheap games.

I was looking at those Sonic games as well. Along with Tiny Troopers because Zimm was playing it. I too resisted. Thankfully.

EDIT: I already have Sonic CD and only played it for a few minutes a long time ago.

Saboteur is really good. I enjoyed it alot.
Yeah it was really fun. I was mainly going around destroying all of the Nazi propaganda, towers, search lights, tanks, etc. I think I only did about 7 or so of the main missions since every time I liberated a new region I would go and clear all of the side stuff.

I especially loved how the color would come back every time you ousted the Nazis in an area, it was such a cool effect.

Sonic CD is good. You should buy it.

Not a counterpoint: I agree, even though I havent played much of it on PSN. It was my favorite Sonic game ever. I played it on the original Sega CD. Of course I havent played any other Sonic games since that one came out. Thankfully. Sonic CD really was the pinnacle of Sonic games was it not?

Just went back and realized I'm not really that far away from The Saboteur plat. I missed a couple missable ones though, so probably not worth the effort to go back.

It's the best one I've played. Although I have a soft spot for Sonic 2, since it's the main one I played when I was a kid.

I think the only Sonic games I have ever enjoyed were the first two, and that was back when I was younger. I got the first few games when they came out on PS+ and only played them for a few minutes before I got bored.

I think my collectionist mentality is the complete opposite of what the Sonic games are all about. I like to go through every crevice and get everything, while Sonic is about getting to the end in the fastest way possible.

Just because, my favorite games played this year, in no real order:

Shadow Warrior (hell yeah Tyler!)

Dust: Elysian Tail

SoM

GoW Ascension (just because I love GoW, but this was the worst one by far, but still fun)

Ass Creed: Black Flag

Tomb Raider

R and C Into the Nexus (I am also a big R and C fan)

I played a ton of other games and a lot were fun, but I could have skipped all of them really.  Cheap is the number one reason I played everything else.  Which we all know is a problem around here.

I hate when that happens. There's times when I know I only have one or two trophies left and realize that it's either because I missed a few collectibles or it's a really complicated/grindy trophy. While I would rather leave it be, there's times when I give in and get it just to complete it.

So are we all doing this now?

Favorite games I've played this year:

Metal Gear Solid

Metal Gear Solid 2 HD

Star Ocean: The Last Hope International

Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD

Nier

Crysis

Kingdom Hearts HD

Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories HD

Portal

Outland

I think the game I had the most fun with in the last year is probably Call of Juarez Gunslinger.  I played it in December last year.  And I played through it multiple times for all the upgrades.  Good times.

Trying to think back to what I've played this year but some of my favorites:

Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker

Metal Gear Rising Revengeance

Metal Gear Solid 4

Assassin's Creed IV

Infamous 2 (Playing it now)

Runner 2

Spelunky

Batman Arkham City

I used my psnp profile to check out what I played.

Every one of those people supplying proof on their own twitter feeds that they committed fraud. Doing that in the first place is stupid, posting proof of a crime on your twitter feed is a whole different level.
Not to mention that I'm sure some people will lose their job over this. Some lines just shouldn't be crossed.

Ahhh good call! Added some more:

Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker

Metal Gear Rising Revengeance

Metal Gear Solid 4

Assassin's Creed IV

Infamous 2 (Playing it now)

Runner 2

Spelunky

Batman Arkham City

Heavy Rain

The Last Of Us Left Behind DLC

The Walking Dead S1 (S2 was inferior imo)

Alright I'll join in:

Ratchet and Clank: Into the Nexus

Bioshock Infinite

Super Metroid

10 Second Ninja

Kero Blaster

Hatsune Miku Project Diva F

Earthbound

Fez

Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

I'm sure I missed some stuff, but those are the big ones from this year that I can remember

It's hard to remember what I've played this year, but from what I can remember it's:

NBA Jam
The Saboteur
South Park Stick of Truth (comedy alone)
Fairy Fencer F (except for that last grindy trophy)
Akiba's Trip (2nd favorite)
Mutant Mudds
Dark Souls II
Bioshock Infinite (favorite)

Ended up using my PSN profile to look up what I've played this year. I actually ended up enjoying most of them.

I hope Wal-Mart goes back and charges the 2 idiots who included transaction numbers on the twitter posts who paid via CC and Debit card with the full $400.  I'm sure they would be dumb enough to come back and argue about it.

The guy who paid cash is at least slightly smarter than the other 2 morons.

My understanding was that 1.0 characters work in the 2.0 toy box, but 2.0 does not work with 1.0. So if you get 2.0 you can use that with any of the available figures, like the 1.0 Frozen ones. 2.0 would limit you to half the available figures and play sets (which could be good or bad depending on your wallet).
They're supposedly working on a patch to get 2.0 characters compatible with 1.0; it was something they had planned to do all along.

My guess for the patch delay would be that they're trying to get people to invest in the new game and the longer people have to wait the harder it is to resist (or put up with their kids badgering). It's the same reason Sony delayed the PS+ Drive Club; they want to get as many sales as they can first.

It's really crazy and awful those people scamming but price matching a $400 console down to $60 is pretty outrageous and should raise a flag or two in most cases? Don't managers usually have to approve anything over $100? All around stupidity and fraud are the worst.

Guy on reddit calculated the amount of wins needed to rank up in Iron Banner. Good lord hahaha. Good luck to those of you considering using it as an alternate route to level 30 gear. Keep in mind this doesn't include additional xp from bounties and I believe losses still award a little. And there's also the buff you can buy. Make sure to use that when you have the time, though - lasts 12 hours and apparently is not renewable.

-2 wins needed to get to Rank 1. (1st class item gives 1.1 x 50 (55 Exp))
-22 more wins to get to Rank 2. (2nd class item gives 1.1 x 1.1 x 50 (60 Exp))
-40 more wins to get to Rank 3
-40 more wins to get to Rank 4. (3rd class item gives 1.1 x 1.1 x 1.1 x 50 (66 Exp))
-36 more wins to get to Rank 5.

Whether or not it ever actually gets put out is anyone's guess, but they talked about it when 2.0 was first announced. Recently someone asked them about it and they replied that they were looking into it or working on it... I can't remember their exact wording.

You would think if they were going to work on anything cross versions like that it would be 2.0 supporting 1.0 playsets.

I just played one game to see what was really different. A 26 and a 27 ran around with fusion rifles and one-shotted everyone. On top of that, everyone on my team was just camping in corners trying to act like they're amazing snipers and not doing jack shit.

I would assume this just means you can use the 2.0 figures in you box and not the actual play sets right? The toy box isn't that fun for me (I like people to do the work for me) so this doesn't interest me a whole lot.

So I was just browsing through the "New this Week" stuff on the Playstation Store and came across a Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs theme.

What.. the... fuck?
Did you buy it?

Generations is supposed to be really really good, but I haven't played it yet so can't give a personal opinion.

I don't but the reviews seem pretty good. I was also actually shocked at the LG android phones I got at BB during the GCU freebie sale for my kids for $40. They are really pretty good for what I paid. I think it's getting harder to get a horrible phone unless you are actively looking.

Wait... ME 1 and 3, but not 2 on sale? I hope that's a typo, if not it's really weird.
