If it comes with all the dlc, 10.49 isn't that bad. Especially with how rarely that dlc goes on sale. Hopefully there's some dlc for 3 on sale too.

Games at $2.99

  • Alice: Madness Returns™ Ultimate Edition
  • Battlefield: Bad Company™ 2
  • Crysis
  • Dead Space™
  • Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
  • SSX
Mass Effect™ 3 $3.99

Mass Effect™ $4.49
Bad Company, Dead Space and Crysis are all worth much more than that. Those are great games for $3.

If we're doing the favorites-of-the-year thing, I'll throw in my list (roughly in chronological order based on PSNP):

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc

Bioshock Infinite: Burial At Sea

Velocity Ultra

CoJ: Gunslinger

Wolfenstein: The New Order

Resogun

Braid

Limbo

Metal Gear Solid 2 HD

Metal Gear Solid 3 HD

Rogue Legacy

Just Cause 2

Velocity 2X

Shadow of Mordor

Pix the Cat

Akiba's Trip

The Evil Within

Hot dang, was this a good year.

I have every game on that list except for BC2 and SSX. Not sure if BC2 has a decent story or not...I thought the Battlefield 3 SP campaign was pretty dull and I haven't even tried 4 yet though I got it free.

There still 6ish weeks to go with plenty of open holiday time to get in a good amount of gaming, isn't it a little early to be doing best played lists?

So I went back and looked over some El Shaddai reviews as a refresher as I read quite a few before I bought the game a few years ago, IGN's is the only English language review under a 7. First playthrough doesn't have a HUD in order not to detract from the game's aesthetic, it is easy to tell your current HP based on the armor pieces which get knocked off every few times you're hit and a red aura that appears on the edge of your screen and gets brighter as you near death. He knocked off at least 4 points off the presentation score just because of the lack of HUD on the first playthrough. His displeasure at the lack of HUD was extremely hyperbolic.

The combo system is moderately deep, but he states that you don't need to use it, because you can succeed by just mashing attack over and over. That's not the case, if you mash attack the enemy will block and the only way to get around a block is to delay your next strike to attack with a guard break attack. If too many enemies attack at once, you need to either block, dodge away, or use a special to separate an enemy from the pack. It makes me wonder if he played through on easy or something.

Granted I'm only halfway through so maybe something will change in the other half but so far I can't see any justification for giving this game a 5. Usually that low of a score is reserved for a game with technical problems and I have encountered zero bugs or graphical hitches so far.

I liked BC2 and I only play SP. Pretty cool story about some gold or something. EDIT: It reminded me a bit of the movie 3 Kings with Wahlberg, Clooney and Ice Cube.

Oh, and how did I leave Okami off my list? I guess I looked over it since I was looking through games I marked beat on backloggery.

Since we're doing this... I've beaten 54 games this year, so here's my list of the games I considered at least very good:

XCOM: Enemy Within

Marlow Briggs and the Mask of Death

They Bleed Pixels

Shadow of Mordor

Infamous

Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legend

Uncharted

Sly Cooper and the Thievious Raccoonus

Call of Duty: Ghosts

Asura's Wrath

Killzone Mercenary

Rogue Legacy

Demon Gaze

Assassin's Creed: Rogue

It is early, but I didnt want to do any work and was thinking about it at the time. Also, I didnt post my top games of the year, but my favorites of the year. If I play some more really fun games, I will only add to my list, not drop any since this isnt a top 10.

Tempted to get SSX for the $3. How does it compare to the PS2 versions?
I started the PS3 version back at launch through my library, but I very quickly lost interest because it just felt so lifeless compared to SSX3, which still holds up to this day as the best in the series IMO.

I loved SSX Tricky, I just don't know if this type of game is still my thing.
Yeah I played the shit out of Tricky. SSX 3 a little less so, but still enjoyed it. I'm a sucker for these big over the top sports games. I'll probably grab it because for $3, why the hell not. Gives a good in between game or "I only can game for 15-30 minutes tonight" game.

LBP3 is great so far. If you are a fan of the series then you will most likely enjoy 3. I'm having a great time so far.

Hatsune Miku is fantastic and I will be spending a ton of time with it.

GTAV is a prettier version of PS3 version. It's GTA, you know what you're getting into

XBL had BFBC2 for free but PSN is trying to get $2.99 out of us for it? What a load of piss and onions. I will trade in my ps3, ps4, and vita to target on black friday while picking up the xbone bundle.

I just got:

Assassin's Creed Unity Gold Edtion

Dragon Age Inquisition Deluxe Edition

Far Cry 4 Gold Edition

because i had an extra $250 and like throwing my money out the window.

So this has to mean that PS4 collection will soon be announced, right? Right?

Damn it, I may have to get ME1 at that price no matter what.
I have to say Mass Effect is easily one of my top 5 game series of all-time. Even if they do end up announcing a remaster, you can't fault yourself for buying these games, especially at these prices.

I was going to post this... I feel too bad to try it with the stupid Walmart employees.
If they had any sense whatsoever, they would only match the price that Amazon itself is selling it for, not some BS 3rd party seller and verify it when looking it up. Yeah, it's horrible that people would do it but it's just as bad that some brain dead dipshit approved it.

just saw a dude post a WARNING on slickdeals because he apparently discovered some upper bound to the number of gift cards you can get with dell.com electronics purchases. he provided the terms and conditions link in his post where it states that there's a limit of 10 per customer and immediately after that it says 'not valid for resellers.' he then ends his post with 'I just ordered 5 LG TVs which now I have to refuse as well. This is such epic BS.'
