We got a campy 2 day cave rave coming up soon. wootwoot.

also I have a huge coleman montana 8 person tent in my backyard for when we party outside.

It isnt as fun as camping in the woods, but it gets the job done

Is there a regular here that likes Patapon 2 for PSP/Vita? I got a code for the first person who I know will actually use it instead of trying to trade it.

OR

I can also donate it for the prize of Platinuming Velocity 2X?

Sweet, just curious. I really like TLoU on ps4, and was thinking about getting that gun pack DLC they released Tuesday. I was constantly getting one-shotted by one of those guns, and I want it.

I am so far behind all of you in TLOU. I've played literally 2 MP games outside of our sessions and all I have to say about that is random people blow.

 
I think people should be DQed from any further trophy competition if they have more than one trophy.  If you can't participate in a trophy competition or two, them's the breaks.

 
BTW, the Dust dev wants to put it on Vita as well.

Yeah, most of them suck. But only because they play without a mic mostly. I've ran into quite a few formidable teams, and single players. You're not too far behind me, I think I'm pretty close to finishing the first journey on ps3.

The worst I've came across was last night, playing with Stellar. We got paired up with these 2 dudes trying to boost and it just sucked. I would have flipped if it were for a 100% population goal. They were tossing Molotovs and injuring/downing themselves the whole game to get heals/revives. Which would have been fine, but they would always follow us around, sprinting the whole time, and downing themselves, which makes them easily visible even without a map..but also gives our location away on the map.

Jist of article is shes a girl and she wants to play a game made for girls or something. Or one that doesnt just have women in it to be saved or there for eye candy.

Games are made for the demographic.

Itd be like me wanting rap to use complete sentences and actual words.

I should be able to get some games tonight but I've only played 1 MP session with Stellar so I'm still a rookie.

I'm a girl and have no problem with current games, in fact I love them. And if given the choice of outfit for my character I usually dress them to show off ;)

I Do Not want to play a game made for girls. If I did I would go play Barbie or some other crap.

Granted I'm not your typical female so....


Why does my gender have to go and try and make everything about them or into some sort of debate :/

I don't particularly care for that Sarkosian chick or whatever, but I'm way less of a fan of people threatening her and her family's lives.  Some people are so unbalanced it's scary.

Uh...yeah, you're completely wrong dude. What she's saying is that playing games mainstream games means that you're constantly going to see women being raped, shown as sex symbols, murdered (and still shown as sex symbols), and treated like objects without significance. It's a legitimate complaint especially when women in general very much have to worry about those things in real life. I don't imagine most men would be very happy if most of the games out there had men sexualized constantly with them being thrown naked at the screen, raped, murdered with their bodies displayed procatively, etc..

Saying "games are made for the demographic" means that you think the gaming demographic is primarily made up of men who want to see women raped, murdered, and treated like trash. Being a man who likes to play video games does not mean that's what I'm interested in, despite what you're saying.

Oh, I thought you were further along since you're playing on ps4 now?

I played a game while you were all doing the draft and one person had a mic and he was just cursing a lot at first and then he started ordering people around, but he was an idiot. I shot a guy up a bunch and he started running, so I chased him and the guy on my team said "Finish him off! Don't let him get away!" and I turned around a corner and there were 2 other guys from the other team who downed me instantly and my teammate was like "No! Fall back!" after I was already dead. Thanks bro.

The only video game really like that is gta, I haven't played /heard of anything else that would promote that. At least not that comes to mind.

But arent men murdered (a ton) and raped (sometimes) in video games too? Most games are played mostly by men. Most men want to see naked chicks. Its life. And I dont think anyone should go crazy threatening anyone's lives.

ehh I took she was complaining about women having minor roles in games. That rape stuff etc isnt in all games.

I mostly agree with you guys, but this is a stupid conversation to have in a group of 48 males and 2 females.  Not exactly a balanced enough perspective that will yield a fair conversation.

 
I will just say that if a game came out where women dominated men and men were just treated as sex toys I would have no problem with it.  I wouldnt play it, but I wouldnt give two shits.  The game would never make any money, so no one would bother making something like that, but still.
