It will be interesting to see how opinions change for the people spending more time with Destiny. For the first 5 or 10 hours I would have given it a 7 or an 8. With 27 hours in it now it's easily a 9 for me and I'm only enjoying my time more

Those were the two specific titles I had in mind for sure. I've not played either yet...and I don't have either DLC, so we'll see how much I rage when I get to it. Though I could just watch the ending on YT, too. We'll see.

So MP shit, then. I mean that's good and all for people into that, but I've no interest in wasting an open-ended amount of time on playing an MP game. My backlog is just too compelling to feel like I'm spending my time well. I got things to do and games to play. :)

That said, Destiny really only being 10-12 hours long is a plus for me for the most part because I do like fairly short, concise games that are done well. We'll see how the quality aspect comes in with that in mind.

 
So are the KH 1.5 movies for 358/2 Days (or whatever it's called) worth watching? Noticed that the trophy guide says you can skip through them quickly for the trophies and not have to watch the whole thing..

I usually share the same thoughts about MP stuff, but something about Destiny has really drawn me in like no other MP game in years. I'll be sticking with it for a long time

Also, the 4th member of our team bailed on us.  I won't mention names, but he's the worst person in the thread.  So if anyone has the game already installed you can join us.  Assuming Stotch is actually playing.  

If stotch bails too I think me and Matt probably won't play.

No doubt, some of the backlash is infused with the typical internet hyperbole. But there's a lot of valid criticism. It's not fair to conflate the two.

I think the biggest problem is how it was positioned. I know @endergeek and @cap believe Bungie adequately "previewed" the game, but I don't agree with that at all. I played the alpha/beta and kept up with pre-release news. Not what I expected for several reasons. The biggest being the lacking social features.

But it is fun in its own way. I'm sticking with it for now. PvP is where it's at for me. I genuinely love that mode, lol. All the mechanics and weaponry that open after lvl 20 definitely have me intrigued as a well and I don't mind a grind if done properly.
 
Destiny's mp is super accessible I feel. Matt and ender, you guys should totally gear up and prep for the raid. Munky too. We might not be able to do it without dying, but at the very least we could all go for the other raid related trophies together. That is if Matt can figure out how to join the god damn clan.

My plan for the raid though is to not even attempt it until I'm 28-29. I want to be as strong as possible going into it.

And yeah, that weekly strike is fucking brutal. I just tried it with a couple friends of mine. We were all 24s and made it to Phogoth and just didn't stand a chance. More wizards than I've ever seen. Literally, the second wave he spawned four wizards, and then two more got dropped by a drop ship. fuck that, I'll wait until next week.
 
I can help with the weekly strike if need be. My friend and I did it pretty much just the two of us. Other than pho goth taking 20 minutes to die it wasn't that bad at all.

Dude, you are the clan leader, figure that shit out. I dont know what else to do. I had the clan tag, then it disappeared. I didnt do anything to change that lol. And I've tried everything I can to fix it. Any suggestions????

Yeah I'm hoping I can have some good gear by the weekend. I don't work this Saturday or Sunday so I should be available to try and run it with you guys

I just went through the weekly earlier. its bad, but the adds arent infinite. After that 4 wizard wave no more show up.

 
So I started Joe danger and I'm over halfway through the game with the majority of stars completed. I remember people saying it was a difficult game, which is why i kept it low priority. Didnt feel like being frustrated. This game is a cakewalk.

Matt and bums once you join the clan make sure you set it as your main Destiny clan so that you can be a "clanmate" and that you want it displayed on PSN.

The raid? I'm definitely not running it this weekend. I'm only a 24 right now. It's going to be at least two more weeks for me.

47 perfect.

with a huge time mistake (around 15-20 seconds) caused my wife needing me when i was in the last platforming area and while i was talking didn't realize i had left the pause screen.  still managed to finish with 10 seconds to spare.

fuck that level.  i hope to hell that's the hardest level because i can't do that to myself again. my fingers are dead.

(a lot of the issue is that i have to play in short bursts)

 
Got the Sly 2 plat. It's still the best in the series, but the game really should have been 2-3 hours shorter.

I don't know who was saying it's hard. Some of the trophies might be a challenge, and there are a few difficult spots, but it's far from being anything crazy hard like Trials.

I think for me Destiny was fun to play through once for the story and whatnot, but the idea of grinding for gear afterwards just doesnt appeal to me much.  Especially when I can trade the game for $44, focus on other things in the backlog, and then pick this back up down the road for cheap.  Of course, if the PVP werent so awful I'd probably feel a bit differently about it.

And I think the last of us is getting better.  Just met up with [customspoiler=spoiler]Bill and the onslaught of runners[/customspoiler] and I'm interested in where it's going.  I'm hopeful that there's more variety incoming too - it's nice to at least have some new options weaponwise, although I'm starting to see the power of the brick+run+smack.

Scanning the number of chapters or whatever this game seems long as hell.  I have to assume I'm not terribly far yet - true or false?

Edit - the lack of progression trophies is making me twitchy too.  how do I know how great I am if I'm not getting constant trophy feedback?

Brewers need to hold this win and actually win a series against the Cards. If we can win the Pirates series next, I'd say things definitely look good to slide into that 2nd wc spot

The two guys I were playing with were complete fucking retards. Just running up to wizards and trying to punch them and other stupid shit. I said two friends, but that's a stretch. One was sitting there telling me that strikes are just story missions but enemies have higher levels. I kept saying no, idiot, strikes are separate missions. It was like talking to a brick wall.

The other dude had some name of blaaazing420 or some shit and I'm 99% sure he was stoned off his ass. I ended up rage quitting on them. They've now been sending me invites every 10 minutes to join them again.
