Bums should be stoked about that Giana price, I don't know if he was waiting for it to go free though.
Yeah I'm gonna pick up Gianna Sisters for that price. Then you won't have to hear me keep asking for it to go free for PS+.

If anybody doesn't have Portal 2 yet, do yourself a favor and buy that shit. It's GOLD!

I remember now that I had a hard time with the save system for Scott Pilgrim.  Something wasnt saving right so my character progression wasnt saving.

If I didn't already plat the PS3 version and have the sequel (which includes some songs from the first) preordered from Best Buy, I would have bought the Vita version for more trophies.

Otherwise...Scott Pilgrim is almost a definite buy for me. Giana Sisters is certainly tempting, especially with those elusive trophies (Gator mailed it). Has anyone here played Knytt Underground who could offer an opinion on it? I looked at gameplay, and I see its 100% completion is a 7/10 difficulty according to PST.org.
It has the exploration of a metroidvania game but almost no combat and not a whole lot of unlocking new things. I liked it but most people didn't. It's VERY heavy on exploration. Keep in mind that the first two chapters are kind of prologues, all the meat is in chapter 3.

I didn't try and 100% it. Almost all the trophies are obscure. I think I beat it without getting any originally. I don't remember what would be so hard about it. You just have to use a guide, which I hate doing on 1st playthroughs. And I never went back for a 2nd.

while I did say 'buy it you turds' or something I'll just reiterate:

portal 2 is one of the greatest games of the past 5 (?) years. if you hate any sort of first person game (I do!), cast that aside because the first person-ness of it is not at all distracting/problematic/unfun. it's completely awesome. story is 100% great, dialog is top notch all the way through and hilarious (and not just in some nerdy moronic way), the puzzles are never impossible but are often very clever and the ending is outstanding if you can avoid spoiling it. Plus the (completely optional) coop has to be the best coop experience I have ever played, it's really peerless.

seriously, if you like video games at all and haven't played it, buy it and prioritize it. now.

Project Diva finally on sale! You have no idea how excited I am by this. Yes I'm being 100% serious; I have no shame.
Don't worry Ninja I'll probably be picking up Project Diva also as I love rhythm games. DJ Max Technikatune is such a gem on the Vita as this is the only rhythm game I have on the portable.

For those who might be interested, rumor has it Seahawks have traded Percy Harvin to the Jets. Seahawks have yet to confirm.

Trades rairly happen mid season.

Mirror's Edge for $2.25 isn't really a faceslap for me due to buying a physical copy from Best Buy for $8.99 more than a month ago--it's more like a light blow to the cheek.

Also, Portal 2 is obviously a must-buy if you don't already own it. :dunce:

As far as Knytt Underground....trophies are doable with a guide. If I remember correctly, there were some bonus type areas that had really challenging challenges, but if I can do it, you definitely can.
The game itself is decent. Very pretty looking backgrounds. I just played those first two chapters, than used a guide to get through the 3rd since it's long and pretty easy to get lost. I just wanted to cross something off my backlog.

Hopefully I get some time in crucible tonight so I can get the 20 some odd marks I need to buy my astrolord gauntlets from FWC.

Final piece of legendary I need.

Hurray.

Wow horrible sale, too many crappy jap games.

Anyway whats your guys top 5 of the year so far? No remasters/ports. (retail only)

Snakey's Top 5 of 2014(yes its been a slooow year so far)

1.Wolfenstein

2.Shadow of Mordor

3.Infamous 2nd Son

4.Alien

5.Destiny

You might want to cut Percy Harvin from your fantasy squad if you have him because Seattle just traded him to the Jets for a couple of draft picks.

I'm sitting on the indoor faux marble steps of a catholic girls' school while my little chicks practice ballet with plastic star wands and I'm sort of passing out a little and I'm pretty sure I'm one of two males in the entire place (the other being a gentleman with a british accent who was of a visually diverse ethnic origin who gave me the 'pullover' one of my girls dropped. it's called a jacket, buddy).

maybe I should buy project diva for vita. that's all I'm thinking about right now.

Reboot is absolutely worth watching start to finish. It's really good episodic TV with a focus on strong characters and character development, with decent action to boot. Skip the original. And you can skip all the webisode crap, too.
What about the mini series right before the reboot? Is that stuff all covered in the reboot, or is it unrelated? I suppose, it's only 3 hours or so, I could just watch it :whistle2:

Infamous is better
Snakey's Top 5 of 2014

2.Shadow of Mordor

3.Infamous 2nd Son

Anyone here familiar enough with Battlestar Galactica to tell me what is worth watching, if anything?
I liked the first season and a half, then it slowly starts to wobble and fall apart under its own mythology. It's of the grim variety of science fiction so if you like things upbeat it isn't the show for you. That's of the revival series. I caught a few episodes of the original series and its pretty campy.

Sounds like the consensus is to just watch the reboot. I think I would much prefer grim over campy anyways so that works well.

Hmm, I already own Scott Pilgrim but might get the bundle for the DLC.
I know, that is what I am considering too, but I already purchased the game and knives DLC piecemeal previously so I'd be paying $3.50 just for online play. How is the netcode for it / are there even that many player's playing it?

The miniseries is the pilot "episode" basically, a LOT is set-up so you will want to watch it. The series takes place right after the end of the miniseries. Basically sci-fi channel commissioned a miniseries and if it performed well they would treat it as a pilot for a new series. It did well so they continued the story with the series.

Excellent. That is exactly what I needed to know. I'm sure I could have googled, but after the Lost discussion I accidentally started I couldn't help myself :p

I might pick up Scott Pilgrim. Weird timing, because I just finally got around to starting the graphic novels earlier this week and I'm really digging it. I would get Bayonetta, but I'm planning on getting the sequel at some point, so I might as well skip

I'm about 60 hours into p4g, and I'm pretty sure there's a lot left to go..
beginning of October, just saved Naoto
..also I missed a book to read from like 4 months ago....I was planning on platting this game, but going through another whole playthrough would be rough. Well see, with new game+ it should be easier as well as skipping dialogue during that playthrough should shorten it up a bit.

I would think it nigh-impossible to go for the plat in one playthrough anyway. I still have to get back to my NG+ run at some point to get the plat myself.

Had a similar thing happen. It was the sports thing. I think I picked basketball instead of soccer and you miss a book that way if it's the first playthrough. Still haven't finished the playthrough because of that

Yea figured I wouldn't get the social links maxed on my first, but hoping to get the books out of the way. Missed the Witch Detective one.

But actually looking at the guide again, I thought it was a 60-80 hr plat, but actually an 80-140 hr plat which makes more sense now.

Hopefully it increases the value of Doug Baldwin. Is he their number 1 now MWN?
Yeah, but there really is no number one here. Just a bunch of number 3's. To be a wide receiver here, you have to know the ball will get spread around. Between 5 WR's, 3 TE's and 3 RB's, 8 guys or more will get catches during a game, and you have to block your ass off for the run game.

BTW, reports are Percy gave Tate a black eye and if you look at SuperBowl pics, you can see it.

Evidently he got into it with Wilson this week. Knowing Wilson not being a fiery guy, it must have been mostly Percy going after him.

Percy wasn't in critical last few drives against Dallas. Why wouldn't he go out there?? Very strange. Still waiting for all details to emerge.

I wasn't going to buy jack but I caved and got RE3, never played that one and I can play on Vita (no trophies) though...but maybe also because I just got a PS TV. I got Gianna Sisters as well. Yeah! Just what I need more games :)

EDIT: I was thinking of getting Code Veronica X and Sword 3 game but that would probably be a little nutty.

Just as a heads up for those who don't go to the main forum and don't have Best Buy's GCU: Starting 10/26, buy a new game for $39.99 or more and get GCU for only $30.
Oh...damn, I might have to get in on this. This is a 2-year membership, right? That's the only one I even see listed on their webpage.

Kinda bummed about the lack of any %off for game accessories.

I'm the same. I have Scott Pilgrim and the Knives DLC, but this is still the cheapest the Wallace DLC has ever been so it's better for me to just re-buy everything. Luckily it's a different file because it doesn't look like the store is refusing to let me buy it.

I need to do more research about the net code. And again, this would be a perfect game to play with a few CAGs, so hopefully some of you get it.
I'm gonna grab it.

I'm about to beat The Evil Within, and before I start a 2nd playthrough, anyone wanna do some scott pilgrim/portal 2 co op? woot

yeah i beat portal 2 this week when that other couple was watching. And then we all sat there wtf when the turret song and dance etc. lol. good times

also yeah Portal 2 and Bayonetta should be must buys. Both super awesome.
