Atheon is gonna get patched soon. According to Bungie, there adding in "baby bumpers" to the area where u can push him off.

I was just going to post this. Patch goes live next Tuesday, so get in on a pushing group soon if you guys want an easier chance at gear.

Suros was hinted at getting a nerf because people cry too much when it kills them.
Vex gun is getting a buff because people cried too much that it sucks way too hard now.
Atheon's teleport is going to be randomized because Bungie cried too much that the final boss of their raid wasn't absolutely impossible like they told everyone it would be.

I'm guessing a future patch will remove the small pillars in the center of the sync plates, because standing on them makes it easier to avoid supplicants. And then the time's vengeance buff will get removed because increased damage from it wasn't their intended design. Oh and the shield that relic holders will get changed so that you can shoot through it, but Atheon can. And your gun will only do 1 damage on him the entire fight. And he automatically starts in enrage mode. Oh and he gets the gorgon gaze ability to kill you instantly if he sees you.
 
I got rid of my Destiny resell. It just doesn't look good on PS3 and all the talk of patches and game balancing stuff constantly being thrown in completely turned me off to it. When I get a PS4 in a couple of years and things have settled it should be a lot more appealing.

With the World Series coming up, let's all remember that RPG is not a Giants fan. He used to have sports team logos in his signature, and for baseball, he had the Yankees. So when he starts pretending that he's a Giants fan, we'll know he's faking it.
 
I watched the first episode of Gotham tonight. It was ok. One thing that really annoyed me was the need to basically annonce every single person and have each character say the name of the person they were talking to. "This is my partner, Jim Gordon." "Jim Gordon you say?" "Yep, Jim Gordon." "Well, nice to meet you Jim Gordon."

I'm also guessing thwt every time they show a villain, they have to do that thing where the allude to who that person will become down the line. "I don't want any riddles!" "Be a nice little penguin." Im guessing that someone will see Selina jumping around and say something like "What are you some kind of cat, woman?" Or with the other girl "Watch out which plants you touch, one of them could be poison ivy." Because apparently the writers think they're super clever when they do that.

I patched my PS3 so it can no longer play Destiny.

 
Figured I would of missed more, you guys are quiet tonight.

Going to go play Spelunky in a bit.

Oh, and apparently I have a stalker at work now. My hubby is all freaked out :/

I think it's more a case of TV executives telling the writers to be super ultra obvious because they think most of the TV viewing audience is really dumb. And they're not totally wrong. Unfortunately that means us high brows have to suffer.

I don't think the rest are that bad. I like the show.

That gets a lot better. They were really laying it on thick the first episode, but I thought that the pilot was the weakest episode so far

 
Great night of Spelunky.  Besides beating Yama, I got everything I needed for the Journal taken care of in the Mothership, Haunted Castle, and most the other miscellaneous things I was missing.  I do have to make another trip to Hell unfortunately, I guess there's a guy there named Vlad that I've never seen before.

Also, here's my successful Yama run if anyone cares.  5-1 is probably the craziest part.

I got to Ch. 5 in The Evil Within, and I'm still loving every minute of it. I even enjoyed spending 1.5 hours in just the one open section in Ch. 3 sneaking around, stealth-killing everything without really using any ammo or taking damage, and I got the Knife Beats Chainsaw trophy on my first try. The arena setup in Ch. 4 was the hardest thing I encountered so far, but I toughed it out.

It's a solid 4.5/5 for me so far.

You should be able to 100% the game.
 
yeah just beat The Evil Within, one hell of a trip.

It does unlock nightmare when you beat casual. I also got the 'no upgrades' trophy.

Now ill try to speed run/10rpg/all upgrades tomorrow maybe...

I enjoyed it alot, it's like a serious RE4.5 if Shadows of the Damned is a goofy RE4.5

Even with my daughter and son trying to explain it to me, and I think they have no idea, I have no idea what happens.

I'll read the wiki/spoiler/tvtropes threads tomorrow and figure it out.

Did you notice whether or not it unlocked akumu difficulty too?
 
Ugh, got up because I had to work at 8AM. Log in to find out that everything is pushed back two hours because the people organizing the meeting we have today are a bunch of god damn RPGs and didn't account for people in other time zones.

Saw this in reddit. Here's a quote from Destiny's directo of production before the game launched:

It's about the group dynamic. It's not just about a casual dynamic. It's about an understanding of people committed to playing the roles in raids. And preparing. With raids, you don't just jump into them. You've got to prepare before you go in, and decide, what are you doing? What am I doing? Let's all talk about it in orbit. Okay, what role are you going to play? Well, I'm an x Titan, whatever type of Titan I am, and I'm going to be defensive and hold positions. And, have you played this before? Yeah, I found success when I did it this way.

Yesterday in the weekly update they said that they're changing teleportation during the Atheon fight because it wasn't their intention to allow players to be able to play one role during a raid, and that they want people to be good at any role they're thrown into. So either this dude was the only one out of the loop two months ago, or he lied, or theyre lying now. I don't care if it's changed, but at least be honest about it and say it's being done because people are beating it way easier than you expected.
 
and yeah, it's unfortunate but you really do have to just tough through those first 3 chapters or so and then the evil within is just straight up RE4.5 like velo said.  I haven't done any stealth in two entire chapters, it's been pure actiony.  I have a sniper rifle now and even without any upgrades it isn't really hard anymore on survivor difficulty (in chapter 7).  Some of the fights take a few tries to get the right strategy down, but I'm basically playing like it is akumu mode and not bothering with healing or anything and if I get hit I let myself die and retry.  

I'm sure it'll get tough again and it might even piss me off again, but the past 2-3 chapters have just been good ol timey fun.
