That name is already taken even if he did take his ball and go home because of that name.Good one Rimm.

Glad somebody else other than Simmias will enjoy the greatness of Op Ivy.BTW, thanks to whoever linked Operation Ivy. It's very reminiscent of ...And Out Come The Wolves!. Good stuff.
I don't think I could play that game just for the graphical style alone. Something about it looks headache-inducing.worth $10??
That sounds like every game to me.A role-playing game (RPG and sometimes roleplaying game) is a game in which players assume the roles of characters in a fictional setting.
Sounds like Zelda to me.
Problem solved, every game is an RPG.That sounds like every game to me.
While that is the definition of role-playing game, someone should make a video-game version of the definition. Because the above describes every video game ever made.A role-playing game (RPG and sometimes roleplaying game) is a game in which players assume the roles of characters in a fictional setting.
Sounds like Zelda to me.
Wait, is this sarcasam?BTW, thanks to whoever linked Operation Ivy. It's very reminiscent of ...And Out Come The Wolves!. Good stuff.
NBA 2k15 is an RPG, confirmed? That sounds like every game to me.
Well, it does have that My Player mode.NBA 2k15 is an RPG, confirmed?
I guess you could call the team a party of characters.NBA 2k15 is an RPG, confirmed?
Ni No Kuni or Tales of Symphonia. You can't go wrong with either game.Knocked out two longer games recently, so gonna work on a few shorter ones. Help me pick my next rpg to start after that:
Tales of Xillia
Tales of Symphonia
Ni No Kuni
Okami
Final Fantasy X
Valkyria Chronicles
Yup, that guy left so the name is back and available for use again. Plus this one has two m's.That name is already taken even if he did take his ball and go home because of that name.
Semantics I see. Let me introduce to this really cool guy named mbrown.A role-playing game (RPG and sometimes roleplaying game) is a game in which players assume the roles of characters in a fictional setting.
Sounds like Zelda to me.
I'm going to have to go with Okami just because no one else has.Knocked out two longer games recently, so gonna work on a few shorter ones. Help me pick my next rpg to start after that:
Tales of Xillia
Tales of Symphonia
Ni No Kuni
Okami
Final Fantasy X
Valkyria Chronicles

I'm more shocked that the review is that long when all they needed to say is:I'm shocked, shocked that Fluster Cluck got a bad score from Gamespot.

Good thing you bought it.i was watching the devs stream it and woow looks like a bad ps2 game
Your mom has two Ms.Yup, that guy left so the name is back and available for use again. Plus this one has two m's.
So by this rationale, the God of War games are all RPGs.On a more serious note, even though Zelda is an action adventure it still feels like an rpg. You gain weapons to gain abilites and reach places you couldn't before, collect money or rubies and buy shit, you open chests with crap in them, you talk to villagers, you have to go place to place etc. Shit Zelda 2 even had a leveling system (I know it's the black sheep but if you haven't played it you really should, it's amazing game and might be my favorite Zelda). Doesn't seem too far off from most modern RPGs. Not to mention back in the day we didn't have all this overly complex distinction of games. I mean we had like Final Fantasy and Zelda. Is it FF or Chrono Trigger? No but to me it's rpg-ish.
Nope. No talking to villagers in those games, so they don't qualify. So by this rationale, the God of War games are all RPGs.
Hold the phone--Snakey skipped buying a new release?! :shock:I didnt. Dodged a bullet there
Nope. I first ran into Rancid in the late 90s. I'd never heard of Operation Ivy before it was listed in the thread.Wait, is this sarcasam?
Op Ivy was the band that preceeded Rancid. They only put out one record, but it's a killer. Stands head to toe over rancid's whole catalog.

I'm pretty sure you write pain into their corpses with your fists, though. And that counts, doesn't it?Nope. No talking to villagers in those games, so they don't qualify.
It's also the best game in the series. And yeah, Zelda 2 is an rpg IMO. I'd never call any of the others an rpg though.
I remember talking to scared dudes on the side of the road and other weird places. Some would qualify as villages.Nope. No talking to villagers in those games, so they don't qualify.
Yeah, I didn't mean to start the debate of the decade here. Just needed help making a decision.Almost every game has RPG-elements of some kind, like backlog said. People are welcome to think Zelda games are RPG's, that's just fine. Like stotch said, I'm welcome to think that people who think the Zelda games are RPG's are retarded, that's just fine too.
Any further discussion on this topic is unnecessary because there's no cut-and-dry answer.
Oblivion has statistics with numbers (Strength, Defense, Magic, etc.). Zelda (excluding Zelda 2) does not. Simple.I just don't really see what is so different from Zelda and a game like Oblivion which I'm sure most would automatically say is an RPG. If they all say action adventure than I'm 100% wrong. I agree though no cut and dry answer.
This explains a lot. It's also the best game in the series.![]()
Even though they only released 1 album it's a gem in the Ska Punk scene. They released some bootleg/live albums which I have on CD. The album Energy is great from start to finish. I can't believe the magic only lasted 2 years.Nope. I first ran into Rancid in the late 90s. I'd never heard of Operation Ivy before it was listed in the thread.
Maybe we can change the discussion to helping me figure out if a thing in the Ps store is DLC or not. I mean I looked all over the top half of the initial page and didn't see anything. I don't have time to read where the descriptive text actually starts. Can anyone help? Or maybe I'll just buy it anyway.Yeah, I didn't mean to start the debate of the decade here. Just needed help making a decision.
Mid 90s for me back when Let's Go started becoming a "hit" and getting airplay on "alternative" radio.Nope. I first ran into Rancid in the late 90s. I'd never heard of Operation Ivy before it was listed in the thread.
