No. Pete mentioned going back to play Borderlands after not being able to get through the first couple missions. I mention it isnt the best game ever made because he obviously has to force himself to play it. So I am telling him dont bother since he is already playing Infamous and hasnt commented about forcing himself to play through it.
Gotcha, I had missed that part.

dantes inferno is a hidden gem, dare i say it. it is almost as good as god of war 3 for a copycat clone.
I liked dante's inferno about as well as gow3. not nearly the same polish, but it had some fun and weird set pieces and whatnot. everyone is right when they call it a god of war clone, but that doesn't make it bad. skippable? watch the first level on youtube and decide.

This is what I have left to play on PS3, minus what I've decided to skip myself. Thoughts on any others I should skip or save for "if I have time"?
I guess I'll go against the grain here, and suggest Enslaved. Really fun game, not too long either. Edit: To not skip over lol, thought this was another "which should I play"...if I had to skip any of those it would be Rainbow Moon or possibly some of the HD remakes.

...I don't think we share the same gaming interests. :whistle2:k

I second the playing-Enslaved recommendation.

Play Sleeping Dogs and Just Cause 2.
I liked this, but since it was so spot on I had to quote it too.

Now, if you just play Just Cause 2 for the story, you will be done in seemingly no time at all. The story pretty much sucks too. Going around that gigantic environment and blowing shit up is where the fun is. I think it is the most underrated sandbox game of the generation.

i agree with dantes inferno not having the same polish, but i still enjoyed the gameplay, and obviously the story more than god of war series. after playing god of war 3. i am thinking to myself. well i guess kratos is alive, but who else is going to to roid rage, and trying to kill. he nearly wiped every mythical legend/ god there is in the greek mythology off the face of the earth.

I third the Enslaved recommendation. But those fucking orbs. Only thing left I need for the plat, but they frustrate me so. Have yet to find a good guide to find the last few I need.

Here is my view on the stuff you had on the list that I have played.

Beyond: Two Souls - glad I played it, but if you didnt care for Heavy Rain, avoid this.

Dante's Inferno - not a bad hack and slash, but not a great game either

Darksiders II - just wasnt the same as 1, but I still enjoyed this

Deadly Premonition - one of the most bizarre gaming experiences I have ever had

Enslaved - really enjoyed this one

Just Cause 2 - see earlier post

Puppeteer - great game, thank jeebus for the cut scene skip button though

R&C Into the Nexus - not that long and worth it IMO

RE 5 Gold - only if you have someone to co-op with, otherwise I would skip

Sleeping Dogs - must play

Tomb Raider Anniversary - not bad games, but so much better stuff on your list

Tomb Raider Legend - same as last

Guacamelee! - could just wait for PS4 version

Trine 2 - if you want an easy quick plat, sure, otherwise Id skip

The other thread fell to the second page of the deals forum on a Tuesday.  I don't think that's ever happened before.  Ah well, it's what they wanted.

Yeah I only found a guide for the most commonly missed. I think I ended up with missing orbs on 2 or 3 levels that I never found.

If you have questions about how this works, please let us know in the comments below. Happy flipping!

Thanks for all the input guys. Looks like so far I should prioritize Enslaved, Just Cause 2, and Sleeping Dogs. I may wait a little on Sleeping Dogs and see if the PS4 version is really coming.

I think my plan is to prioritize the games in order from best to worst as best I can, as I'm sure there will be plenty of these left still when I get a PS4. Then I can go back to play the others from time to time if I'm low on PS4 games to play.

I'm going to try my very hardest never to get buried in games again.

God of War is probably my favorite series of all time. And while Dante's Inferno is no where near as polished I had a lot of fun with it. Lords of Shadow was probably a better God of War clone though if someone wants to rank em.

in terms of abilities/skills, isn't lord of shadows limited?

I've only played borderlands classic (on pc), and I only make it to like the third or fourth mission every time. not sure what my problem is. I hope to take it for a spin on ps3 someday, but I also hope to take up mountain climbing and those two things are unlikely in equal parts.
Play it in coop. It's like a whole different game (one that's actually worth playing).

Only idiots like Borderlands.
I just like video games.

Just because, here are a few others I have played and would HIGHLY recommend. There are other games on your list I might just like or even hate and think you can dismiss. I never played Far Cry 3 so I cant say if thats just as good but I would assume so. Although I think I just liked the absurdity of Blood Dragon and the 80s asthetics.

CoJ Gunslinger
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light

hey guys remember when the ps blog used to post updates about what would be on sale before the store updated? those were the days man.

looking forward to it! it'll either be one of the greatest nostalgia trips ever or the biggest steaming pile I've played in years. either way, I'm throwing down big bucks for it like a complete idiot.

I'm probably going to buy this at full price. I read somewhere (Eurogamer I think, too lazy to look) that they'll only do another Oddworld game if they make enough from this. It said next up would be the next Abe game re-made, then an all new game if they were both successful enough. Also mentioned that the all-new game could be Fangus Klot.
