Is it weird that I think these "demakes" look pretty good?

Bioshock

Dark Souls

The Last of Us (yeah, yeah, I know the gun hand looks weird)

that might be your problem, has to be 3 guys at the same time with one blast and I don't think rail tracks will trigger the high fall bonus (or whatever) right. they also need to be weaker dudes so that the blast kills them, otherwise hitting the ground does and the bonus doesn't seem to count. I got really lucky with it and knocked two off but not the third since he was a tougher rocket launcher dude. but then he just walked off the edge or something and it unlocked.
I gave up trying on the tracks and found another Dark Waters mission. Restarted the missions 5 or 6 times and then was able to get this to pop. Did the bus mission after that and got the Right back at you stunt. Chased a few of them into an alley. Thought it was going to be really hard but took 10 mins tops to get this one. 6 more now. Currently it is the High fall head shock thing. Have to figure out where best to do that one.

Would there be any interest in a fantasy football league in this thread? For fun or for money, either way.
I'd be down for one too.

Had a bad experience with the Destiny beta earlier....was playing and it started storming in my area. Lost my PS4 connection (but not the actual WiFi or the Netflix my fiance was watching in the other room) and it kicked me out! fuck that. I'll still be getting the game but I hate this "always on" mindset that developers are going for. Games can be great without needing an internet connection.

Dark Souls one especially looks good.

Probably for fun, because I wouldn't want to try collecting money from all you yahoos. I'm sure if I hosted I could award the winner something small like a $5 PSN card or a pack of oreos of your choice. It'd be fun and have some sort of prize for some extra incentive to keep your rosters up to date.

So let me get this straight...to advance in Pixel Junk Monsters, I have to get a certain amount of perfects or else I am gated?

Edit:
Never mind, I am crazy.

I would be interested.

Wolf of Wall Street I got 2 hours (!) into, realized there was another hour left (!!) and just gave up on. There's really nothing interesting about that story.

Departed spoilers
And The Departed ended almost exactly like the original except the Chinese Wahlberg doesn't kill Matt Damon at the end and he goes free. I can't even remember if there was a Chinese Wahlberg. (Chinese Wahlberg is the name of my band, btw.) Were there more changes that I'm forgetting?
Departed Spoilers

It's been a LONG ASS TIME so don't quote me, but I'm almost positive that Chinese Jack Nicholson wasn't an informant for the Chinese FBI. Also, that dude that killed Leo, where the fuck did he come from? And I also don't think there was a Chinese Chick Who fucks Leo and Matt in Infernal Affairs either. Isn't that a huge deus ex machina that she just randomly and haphazardly fucked the 2 dudes in Boston who are basically mortal enemies? Don't quote me on any of this because it's been so so long. Maybe I should watch them both again.

Tyler has a ps4 but keeps on playing his vita and ps3

Yeah cuz I'm not an idiot. There are plenty of great games on both those consoles that I'm not going to skip just because I have a new consoles that's a bit more powerful.

I shouldn't even have a PS4 right now. I was thinking Black Friday at the earliest or sometime in 2015. That Rakuten deal just struck me as too good to pass up.

Movie geek. Cool. We could probably bore the entire thread talking about movies.

I'm just not up on recent movies. But if we go back to the 60s 70s 80s 90s and early 2000s I should be able to keep up.
Yeah, I don't have as much time for movies anymore but my favorites tend to be older (though I like a couple directors like Fincher and Tarantino). All the easy older stuff like Hitchcock, Welles, Kubrick, Capra, etc, but also extending into genre stuff (from shaw brothers to spaghetti westerns to stylistic yakuza films like Tokyo Drifter to 70's car films like Vanishing Point). Favorite film, overall, is Blade Runner. Favorite fun film is... probably True Romance, by his brother, though I'd need to think on that.

But honestly, I can watch most any genre and if the film is good for that genre, enjoy it. I don't need good acting in my 70's kung fu films, just like I don't need good kung fu in a Jimmy Stewart movie.

That said, everyone really needs to watch the first two Godfathers. They really are that good.

Oh, whatever happened back when we were in Vegas at the same time? I won a couple hundred... was it your money? I'd say we should have met up but I don't meet strangers on the internet because they might be perverts.

I'm guessing next-gen remastering(s), since that's a screenshot from the first game.
Yes please.

or maybe Bioshock is coming out on Mac now?
I thought this was right, but I'm pretty sure Bioshock is already on Mac. Right? PC nerd (aka NinjaSquirrel) please confirm.

Should I trade in my iPad 2 for $171 at Best Buy? That'd bring me to enough credit for a PS4.
Get rid of it for sure, just get as much as you can for it. Tablets are stupid, and Apple tables are 4x stupid. I'm sure you can get someone to give you way too much money for it.

No, I think that one just came out. Rushmore, Darjeeling limited or whatever, and Moonrise Kingdom

Lol..looks like they just added the Godfather movies on there..What are the odds..
Rushmore is by far my favorite Wes Anderson movie. I'll check it out one more time. Darjeeling is pretty good (that's the train, right?) and Moonrise was ok but I'll never need to watch it again.

He would've posted naked pics of you here and got banned sooner. You know Tyler, he's a deviant.

Kubrick is my all time favorite. Ya know how I constantly rag on artsy stories in video games? Well apparently that does not translate at all to movies. 2001 is my 3rd favorite movie of all time. It's so serene and beautiful. And to think that movie was made in 1968 just blows my mind. Clockwork Orange is probably Top 10. Full Metal Jacket, The Shining, and Dr Strangelove are both awesome too. Didn't love Lolita or Eyes Wide Shut quite as much. Haven't got around to the rest yet.

And I thought we figured out that you were gonna be in Vegas a week or two after me? Anyways, I'm definitely a pervert but I'm definitely straight so unless you brought your wife or something we probably would have been cool to meet up.

Any of you guys ever traded in a game to Walmart's online trade in?  Specifically, have you traded in a Gamefly game?

They specifically mention that a game can't have "chips on the outer edges" which is really weird since that's basically a trademark of buying Gamefly games.  Are they really going to notice those chips on the outside of my game disc?

Maybe they just mean that it can't have Dorito fingerprints on it. You know how much gamers that shop / trade at Walmart love Doritos and Mountain Dew.

Hit or miss based on my memories of trolling the WM trade thread. Probably easiest in-store if they still do that. I think they were really lax at first, then got really strict when they put the trade limit in. (which was after they were reemed with dudes trading in $5k worth of Gears 3 and Ni No Kuni at a time)

I just looked and Bioshock is not on Mac, Infinite is though.
It has a Mac version, it's just not on Steam for whatever reason (likely because Bioshock released before Steamplay was a thing and they didn't want to do separate PC/Mac listings and never went back to add it).

I agree in-store is the best way to go, but I am lucky when the employees at my Walmarts speak English. I am really really hesitant to try and trade in a game in-store.

Every time I open ESPN.com the feature story is just the result of a baseball game.  Apparently the Giants outlasted both the rain and the Phillies.  As if 1/162nd of anything has ever mattered ever before. God sports in summer suck when the World Cup or Olympics aren't going on.

That may work in your favor really. Most of the employees didn't even know they did trades, let alone know how to do them. I wouldn't go out of my way, especially for WalMart, but if you're already close it may be worth it. I'm like you though, I'd likely get a manager with a fucking magnifying glass looking at the shit. Never good luck on trade-ins.

It's an MMO. They don't call it that but the shit is an MMO. I even think our saves are server-side. Even when you elect to solo missions, people are still present in your world. Not sure if you've played stuff like WoW or FFXIV but ...that's how these kind of games have always worked so it's not a trend.

Besides Titanfall, I can't think of any other games that require internet. I have NFS: Rivals, and while I do think its idea of a "persistent" world is piss poor, it's at least functional without internet. So you're safe for now.

A while back I spent 45 minutes at my local Target with retards while they tried to figure out how to do trade ins, just to find out that I couldn't do the trade-in without buying something else right away (which I know was wrong but how am I going to argue it?). Never doing that again.

In-person, I'll only ever trade in to Gamestop or BB ever again.

I was gonna make fun of Stotch because I undercut him on Amazon on Rayman Legends.  But it looks like his copy sold as well, and he pocketed anywhere between 3 to 5 cents more than I did.  So I guess he got the last laugh.

Yeah, I think that was a Utah thing lol. Or certain state laws. Not them taking so long, but making you buy something. Never traded to Target or Walmart so I can't blame you. Target was very lucrative too, still wouldn't do it.

So you're saying I should go ahead with my plan to trade one of my kidneys for a PS4?
Nike makes kidneys?

I like all those except Blow. Scarface isn't anywhere near the top of my list, but it's definitely enjoyable.

I couldn't get into Insomnia by Nolan, and Inception wasn't my absolute favorite either.

Tarantino I'm not all that into. Inglorious Basterds, Pulp Fiction, and Reservoir Dogs are the only movies of his I'd ever care to watch more than once. And Jesus Christ Death Proof was awful.
Inception was ok, I didn't like the first half of Death Proof but I did enjoy the second half.

I like a lot of Scorses films, but they tend to drag on too long. I wish he knew when to end shit or not draw out some filler scenes.

Also, I cannot watch black and white films, even the ones that are considered classics. I just cant do it.

I need a site like TT to give me my top five films as there are too many I will forget.
Black and white is fine for me, foreign films are fine too, about the only thing I have a hard time tolerating are dialogue heavy silent films, so early 1930's is about my limit.

Wolf of Wall street held pretty much zero interest to me because I didn't have to watch much more than 30 seconds or so of a commercial to deduce the likely trajectory of the film and save myself THREE HOURS. They did plenty of movies about greedy investor-types set in the 1980s during the 1980s.

Oh, but Pulp Fiction, Forrest Gump, and Shawshank Redemption are certainly in the top somewhere. Oh and the original SW trilogy and Indiana Jones trilogy. And the first Hangover...I gotta stop.
Two movies that I remember seeing on the TV for the first time that completely blew me away, Shawshank Redemptions on TNT and the Iron Giant on a Cartoon Network all day marathon.

There's a few Wes Anderson movies added to HBO Go if anyone is a fan.
I've watched six of his films and pretty much the only one that I thought rose above ok was Moonrise Kingdom.

Bottle Rocket and Life Aquatic is where its at.

We should play some more Destiny beta together!Ooh I'm a big film buff and am late to the convo. I miss old Johnny Depp in his Donnie Brasco and Blow days. Finding Neverland and Edward Scissorhands are also some of my favorites.I recently rented that Scarlett Johansson movie Under the Skin. Avoid at all costs! I'm all into indie movies and games and artsy stuff, but that film was boring as fuck. It's like a reverse sexual predator movie where she's an alien. I could only take so much of seeing her drive around looking for men. What a waste. On the other hand, The Raid 2 was badass just like the original. The guy who plays Rama is a beast. I loved the varied settings of fights in the sequel as opposed to the complex in the first. If you like martial arts movies, watch The Raid and its sequel.
But she naked in it doe

Also, please explain to me the appeal of Fantasy football, I just don't get it. You build a team apparently, and as the player score points in the real world they get points in your game right? But no player is an island, in order for that 1 player to score it required dozens of actions by his real team members who are not on your team.
