when did Wendy's Baconator turn into a three patty monstrosity? Maybe if I hadn't eaten all day (or it wasn't 90 degrees) I could finish the whole thing. But not today.

You guys think Baseball is boring, but you watch golf? Geez.
everyone can play golf. No on can play like the pros. They make shots I couldn't make if I trained for years. If you play golf you will watch it. I thought golf was boring too till I became an adult and got a corp job. All deals are made on the course. And my god is it fun.

Playing golf is awesome but I suck at it.  I need to take some classes.  On my dad's side, he would play with my grandma, grandpa, and uncle at least once a week.  My grandma and grandpa would play a lot more frequently than that.  We'd have dinner over there on Sunday's and golf was regularly on TV as well.  So I've been into golf for a long time.

Did I see some kind of chart on TT that tells you the history of a trophy/game's point value so you can track how much it's gone up or down since you've earned it, or did I hallucinate that shit?

I haven't watched it for obvious reasons, but I've been hearing people say it's Stewarts fault because apparently he pissed off the guy so bad that the guy came out of his car to confront him and then Stewart tried to spin dirt on him so he hit him?

Personally I don't think it's Stewarts fault. I mean what person in their right mind would walk out of their vehicle towards race cars going over 100 mph?
I think they were doing closer to 50 at that point but yeah stupid. The car directly in front of Stewart almost hit him. He came further down the track then Stewart hit him. I was at a dirt track race last year and a different guy hopped out of his car and threw his steering wheel at another car/driver. HIs idiot crew was also on the track throwing dirt as they went by at 40 or so. Lots of hot heads rednecks at the tracks both in the cars and in the stands.

Actually, they were not going fast. I'm no racing expert, but with the crash, they were supposed to slow down. Racing suspended while they attend to the wrecked vehicle.

Next, the guy is dumb, but by all accounts Tony sped up. Perhaps to fling dirt like you said. But if that's true, he now has culpability in a death. There will also be a camera in Tony's car.

This is going to get interesting. At the very least you will see a wrongful death suit by the family. But he could be in store for manslaughter. Maybe even murder if they consider his actions calculated with using the vehicle as a weapon.
They were still doing 40 - 50. At speed they can do a lap on 1/2 mile track in 15-20 seconds or so.

As of 4 pm or so the police have said multiple times no criminal charges are pending. And yes I would be willing to bet the family sues for millions.

The lesson to learn from all of this is that people that drive in circles for fun or money are stupid assholes.
More like the lower levels guys are. Tony Stewart is a known hot head that spins people out if they don't respect him and whatnot. I've met Sprint Cup rookie Kyle Larson several times (he's the Target/Cartwheel sponsored driver) and he's very down to earth, humble, borderline shy even. Very nice guy that's just happy to be there.

Criminal charges have not been ruled out. But I can see why they would say nothing is pending yet. No gun, knife, or other obvious weapon was used. So until they do plenty of investigating, they will say exactly that. They want all parties involved to have their guard down and speak freely to get all the details out that they can. If witnesses, pit crews, other racers feel their answers are being used in a criminal investigation, they might answer differently or won't get full cooperation.

I read (not sure if true) Tony had his pit crew change the tire before cops took it. But they didn't get away with it.

Saying 40-50 mph seems a bit generous. It looked slower to me. Even at slow speeds, a car will appear fast moving by a stationary object. But I'm no expert.

Pepsi Throwback if it's there.

If not, then Mexican Coke.

If not, then... flip a coin... generally pepsi if i'm in the mood for sweeter, coke if i'm in the mood for more of a bite.

There are far better colas out there than either coke or pepsi, but they're harder to find.   And I like orange and grape sodas as well as root beer.

But right now, no soda for me till I have a flat stomach again.   Soda is probably my biggest vice -- I would drink a gallon a day if it wasn't bad for me.   I generally buy anything I've never had before to try it.    My wife used to get me an assorted case of hard to find sodas for xmas.

Obviously it was meant to be taken literally, since you meant it literally judging by this post. And of course I thought you were referring to Charlotte, since it's the only city in North Carolina worthy of being called "big," even though that's even kind of a stretch.

Look at the per capita property tax in the link you cited. N.C.'s are ridiculously low. And you can buy a really, really nice house in Charlotte for $300,000. You can buy a condo downtown for $150,000. Great job market, tons of stuff to do, great weather and gorgeous women. Who cares that state income tax is relatively high when cost of living is so low?

And Checkers tickets are like $15.

I don't know. I've lived in a lot of places, and there's one thing I've always believed in - if you don't like where you are, you should move. There's plenty of places to live, and plenty of great people everywhere you go.
okay -- it is understood you love Charlotte. I lived in Charlotte for 3 years and it is a great city, Your entire post is just pure opinion without any facts. Charlotte is not a big city? It is the 16th biggest city based on population in the US. Who cares if the income tax is relatively high? really? I give you specific article from a major publication stating that NC taxes are high but I guess facts are something to ignore if it does not match your opinion.

you list things that are so subjective and are not even constant. I love that you give unsolicited advice to move. I appreciate the life advice but I have managed to find a sublime situation all on my own. You made such huge assumptions and tell me how I intended it to be received. Once again your opinion with zero facts.-- keep living the dream

I do feel that NC taxes are high (because they are ) and I use facts to base my opinion on. Once again agree to disagree

I read the same about the tire change on one site but didn't see it anywhere else.

I bought LEGO Hobbit :)ps4:) and Dark Souls II :)ps3:) for $15 each today thanks to Target's preorder-card deal + PMing Best Buy and Walmart.com.

...As if I didn't already have enough to play.

By the way, thanks for your posts on Metrico, Tyler--you changed my thought on it from "eh, I might not play it with everything else I have" to "I'm totally playing this soon".

I miss one summer I worked on a golf course and got free golf that whole summer. Watching it on TV is ok. I never go out of my way to, but if I'm bored I'll watch it. If I was at home I'd watch tonight just cause it was brought up that its close right now. I've definitely seen a lot of exciting Tiger matches.

Oh and NASCAR blows..everything about it.

I'm taking up golf next year. Growing up, there was literally a golf course right in my back yard, and I've never golfed. Backyard, a small fence/hedge, golf course/country club. Got a ton of golf balls though that my parents still have for some reason, even though they moved a few years ago.

I suck at golf, so bad in fact that in high school when we went through our golf section, my pe teacher just made me follow him around and help him. Luckily golf only lasted like 2 weeks. I think he was worried I would accidentally kill someone with the club.

You are officially old. Confirmed.

Big ol fuck you to the dumb assholes at best buy working customer service. They won't take my copy of Madden 25 Anniversary edition despite it being the exact same shit as the regular edition. fuckers.

I was never really that into NASCAR until I came down to work at the Coke 600 in Charlotte and got to see it all in person. Garage tour, watch a race from the pits, track tour, meeting the passionate fans. Now I watch and follow it very closely. There's so much more going on then "turn left over and over." It's truly fascinating what all goes into every race.

But I totally understand how people that never had it around them or know about all that goes on before and during a race can be disinterested. I was before. But I have been converted.

When I took golf in high school half the class did golf and the other half did baseball. Some people were playing baseball with the golf balls and many cars at the nearby hospital had the alarms going off.

The Playstation App is great.

I know all you cools have probably been enjoying this since it came out, but my shitty phone couldn't run it. One of the first things I did after getting my new phone was install this app.

Talk about convenient. I'm instantly notified of messages and friend requests when I'm offline, and even if I'm on one of my systems I use my phone now to send messages because screw using the controller. So fucking awesome.

And, Injustice :pS4: story is beat.  Was closer to the end then I thought when I started playing a bit ago.  Still need to mop up some of the easy trophies but that's all, way too grindy of a game to go for the plat.  Solid 7.5/10 though, well worth the $8.40 I paid for it digital.

So, to recap:  I removed AC3 :)360:) and Injustice :ps4: from my backlog, and added Lego Hobbit :ps4: to it.  Whoops...

Golf is definitely an acquired taste, but it's super fun to play. Even when you suck. You can get shit faced, drive a golf cart, and have fun....all while saying you're "playing a sport". I'm actually halfway decent, having been an on/off player for years now. But I enjoyed it, like I said, even as a "nub".

Now, as far as watching it on TV goes...yeah, fuck that. It's right up there with watching men's tennis....it's that exciting.

I'll just wrap up this first Deathstroke fight here, get the trophy and go to bed. Posting this because the fucker is pulling the move where you can't counter when I'm beating his ass.

Isn't that what they are discontinuing?

Yeah, being able to send messages using your phone is so amazing.

No, they're discontinuing support of Playstation Mobile, their stupid little "games" they have on their Sony Android phones.

He has attacks that look unblockable, but it's because you're pressing triangle way too early. It feels like you should, but just let him do the attack and don't press anything. It'll give you a prompt to counter during the animation.

EDIT: You can also beat him pretty cheaply if you just jump over him after each punch.

Its not their fault if its not in the system.

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=8674872

Knack for $10. Looks like it was online, but now is available only in-store. I didn't even know TigerDirect had stores.
One moved in to a Comp USA building near me after it closed. Doesn't look to be doing much better any time I pass it.

If they won't take it because the UPC doesn't ring up in their system, trade it in disc-only.

I am not sure I have seen that for the total points of the game. There is a graph for an individual trophy that shows the change over time. I am not sure if it is the point total graph of the TT multiplier, but there is some sort of graph if you select a particular trophy.
