Should I get a PS4 tomorrow?

Before a couple of you say "No, get the Destiny bundle next week," I have a few excuses. 1)I don't give a shit about Destiny. 2)I like the white color, but I don't think I like it enough to pay more up front and then deal with trying to unload Destiny. I'd rather just spend the money up front to buy a game I actually want. Plus I think I like the white controller more than the system anyway. 3)I'll be out tomorrow doing other stuff, and don't want to have to drive 60 miles round trip again on Tuesday to go pick one up, assuming I can even find one.

Decisions.
Why do so many of you live so far away from civilization. I have 3 Bestbuys and probably 5 gamestops within 15 mins.

1. Pick up brick/bottle.

2. Throw brick/bottle at enemy.

3. Bash enemy.

Get good at that and you'll never struggle, even on Grounded.
Ive never tossed a bottle or brick at an enemy. Does that make me weird? Im on my 5th playthrough on TLOU right now.

I've been playing tlou mp all night (finally done!) and all I can think about is throwing a molotov over the fence at all these 14 year olds. what does that say about me?

It makes the game so much easier on the tricky encounters. Have you tried Grounded yet? That's where it really comes in handy, because the AI isn't completely stupid.
The only hard encounter I remember is on the level Sewers and you probably know which one im referring to (I dont want to go into detail of which part it is because people think everything is a spoiler). Other than that I run past everyone or stealthily kill them.

I cant wait to do Grounded on PS4. Can you go from easy to grounded? If so ill do that. Wasnt sure if you still have to beat survival or if grounded will unlock the survival difficulty trophy.

Well, I beat all 50 zones. No way I will be going for the platinum though. I can handle hard games, but I can't make myself play something I don't like over and over, and I can't stand the platforming sections. Oh well, good game overall, just not a fan of the direction they took the sequel

Yup, straight to Grounded works. Basically infected encounters are still easy, but human enemies start to suck.

Simmias and Stotch, you guys likely need to go ahead and due TLOU without me.  I thought it wouldn't be an issue at the time since Gamefly listed it as high availability.  Pretty much the next day it went to low and has been ever since.  They just sent me 2 games and neither of them were it.

So I mentioned my new neighbor (temporary, longer story) complaining about code violations.  She's still being terrible.  But preliminary code research on our part seems to suggest we're completely within our rights.   Her permanent shed, however, is 2 feet too close to our property line.   Evil laugh.  [actually though we'd never call the city on her, i don't stoop that low -- i would, however, use it as ammo in getting her to shut up]

RE: Fight Night Champion -- it's fun for a boxing game, I enjoyed it quite a bit.   Don't know the sale price but if it's 5 or less and you like boxing games, it's worth a pickup.  If you're just going to backlog it, skip it.  I don't remember the game having too many exploits (ie, spam wins) but it's been years.

Pete:

- american mcgee's alice -- SKIP
- deus ex -- PLAY
- gta 4  -- IMO PLAY
- ibb and obb -- IDK
- hitman absolution (maybe) - SKIP
- jak and daxter precursor legacy - IDK
- nba 2k14 - SKIP
- shift 2 unleashed - BETTER RACING GAMES, SKIP
- sly cooper and thievius raccoonus  - PLAY
- two worlds II -- IN MY BACKLOG

if anyone can make a really good case for any of these I'd be interested to hear it.

I loved GTA4, don't get the hate. It's more serious than the rest, and certainly has it's flaws, but I've played through twice and enjoyed both times.

Deus Ex -- I assume you mean the most recent one.  I loved this game.  Played through twice for plat iirc, once combat once stealth.   I think it was a competitor for my personal goty the year it came out (not totally sure).

Sly Cooper -- it's sly. worth a playthrough if only to have it under your belt.

I know GTA IV & V are good games, but I just never got into them when I tried to play them. On the other hand, the Just Cause games are kind of shit storywise, but the gameplay is just so fucking fun. I think I'd take those two over GTA IV & V any day.

I am so ready to be done with Ghosts. The campaign stuff was a lot of fun but extinction just doesn't maintain a feeling of being rewarding as you grind through leveling up.

It just dawned on me that the same guy voices Sully in Uncharted and Tom Sheldon in Just Cause.

Finished second son again. Did I really sit through this entire ending cinematic with the nirvana cover band? Non skippable cut scenes at the end of the game may be even worse than the mid game garbage.

And in that Fibbage game, who was Betachris? Dude was looking up every answer. There's no way you know the answer to every single question like 10 games in a row.

I don't get that at all. Why do people play games like that and just look up the answers? Where's the fun in that? Gator, help me out with understanding this.

I wanted to like it, but ain't no reason to take shots at gator, bro.

But that game is fucking awesome. I had no idea it was the YDKJ guys and had Cookie in it. It'll probably end up being a game I play a ton on PS4.

People really didn't like Niko at all. The phone calls is what bugged me, but I think GTA IV is amazing. Not a huge fan of the Ballad of Gay Tony or Lost and the Damned.
The phone calls could be ignored, but i guess some people forced themselves to do them. I agree it was a terrible mechanic.

But Niko? Niko was great. His cousin, not so much.

I think it also suffered from coming after San Andreas. I think people were expecting the GTA:SA feature set -- tons of side missions, tons of craziness, bikes (the pedal kind), territory takeovers, etc... and then GTAIV toned all that down. There were still side missions and stuff, but... it just wasn't as over the top.

I think GTAV really got the balance right. I can't wait to replay it on PS4 [once the price drops].

...what? How were you ignoring phone calls? They're the primary way to get story updates that aren't through cutscenes. Oh yeah, that's right. Forgot who posted this for a second.
