Let's talk phone service. Should I try switching to Sprint? Their service is dirt cheap and has unlimited LTE data/talk/text. But how is the service? Sucksville? I wish I could try before committing…. If anybody from the Baltimore area knows how their service is (or how it is elsewhere in the world), I'd appreciate the input.

Apparently all of us are pansies afraid to stray from the "normal" character.

I'm disappointed in all of you.
I played the hunter first during the beta, it's kinda hard to play a frailer, stealthy from the shadows character with no form of controllable cloak in PvE. In looking at the skill tree today I see she does eventually get a cloak for a subclass that wasn't available in the beta, but it is only auto-activated when you do the backstab attack skill...which you kind of need a cloak to do unless you are playing with other people to act as distraction. If someone doesn't know people playing the version of Destiny they bought, and it is fairly difficult to get a fireteam going with randoms, I imagine the default for most of those people would be to pick the best class for soloing.

IF? Isn't Capcom the company that pioneered on-disc dlc?
and selling you the actual ending of the game via DLC. which I fear a little is what is going to happen with Destiny, the few, mild end game spoilers I've seen has been that
you kill the last boss and then the mission just ends, no cutscene, no nothing, you are just booted back out to your ship and the mission is shown as completed.
which makes me think rather than the paid content being additional tales/side-stories, they will be the continuation of the main story, just like Asura's Wrath.

I only play a little bit yesterday and got to level 6. Was mostly playing with bkerk from here.

Its really good gameplay wise like everyone else has said when it comes to the shooting mechanics.

I really think they upped the difficulty since the beta as well. I never went down in beta hardly, went down more often this time around. If you played the beta you get to play everything youve already played all over again. Might be a reason a lot of people start out bored with it.

I think destiny 1 is setting up a good foundation, and destiny 2 will be where game starts to hit its stride.

Not in the Baltimore area, but I do have Sprint. The service is alright, typically it's good in metro areas and drops off in areas in between major cities. But I'm also running them out of Indiana, so it might be better once you get towards the coast. Overall service has been passable, so it was definitely worth the cheap plans + unlimited for me. Service is also pretty solid in the Atlanta and Chicago areas, so I'm guessing most major cities are good but I've never used it in the Baltimore area.

I've had Sprint for about the last 10 years or so, all in the Twin Cities. Service has been good for the most part. Couple dead spots at first, but those are mostly gone. Sometimes when you get in a building or skyway the reception goes to crap, but that's kinda expected. I've gotten great reception driving across rural MN & WI, so out of city is good too.

Overall I've been happy with it and have no plans to switch anytime soon.
After avoiding FPSs since July, Destiny is great. The palate cleanse worked. 9/10 Vigs.
So why is it 1/10 Therms?
I thought the scale went from 10/10 Therms (most annoying) up to 10/10 Vigs (most awesome), with a zero in the middle for ultimate meh.

Well I guess I'm passing on this since I bought the black one from them during the labor day special. Speaking of which....

Like gator said, my triggers don't squeak anymore, which is really nice.

I've never had an issue with the bumpers. I haven't really heard anyone complain about the DS4 bumpers besides you. I thought it was the Xbone controller that had shitty bumpers.

Rubber on the sticks still feels like it's ready to peel off at a moments notice, though.
I've noticed some subtle differences from the black controller I just ordered and the one I got out of the box at launch. The new one feels slightly lighter and the rubber on the sticks is definitely different. The rubber has a rougher feel to it than the older one... almost like the DS3.

I have no idea if these changes are for the better, but any change would seem to be good after all the reports of the rubber peeling off. I prefer the heavier controller's weight, but it's a very small difference.

Looks like my Destiny LE is getting dropped off today, maybe I should just play that.
Why are you asking as what to play when you have the biggest game of the year arriving at your doorstep any minute? Regardless of whether you fall in love with it like some of us have, if you're going to play it eventually anyway it's always more fun to do it when everyone else is playing it too.

I love TrueTrophies. I'm shooting up the leaderboards when with any other site, I'd still be way on the bottom.
Yup, just passed me. There's a solid gap between 21 and 20, so I just always thought I'd be fighting for position in the lower half. I just need to get this stupid Hot Shots plat to jump start my upward move.

I'm debating Tomb Raider: DE :)ps4:) for $17.99 from Gamefly. I beat the PS3 version and got all but one of the single-player trophies (stupid missable conversations :wall:), and I wouldn't plat it because I refuse to touch the multiplayer. :whistle2:k

I assume you mean downtown Atlanta? In the suburbs here, people on Sprint rarely have service inside their office.

Season Pass available for $24.99

Who cares about the New 3DS, amirite?!

I'd much rather get one of these $200 Gamestop-exclusive XLs, and the second doesn't even come with the game! :whee:

It will get cheaper. If it is going in the backlog, I would wait.

I have sprint. Service is fine in the NW and I have no problem getting 3G/4G in the cities. I even get phone reception inside a hospital beneath the x-ray department.

Their customer service isn't that great (what phone company is?). there's no contracts any more but you pay off your phone over 2 years instead. Do I get to keep my phone after? Who knows.

If we all joined together and got on their new "Framily" plan we could reduce our bills and save some major $.

Down here in South Ga, Verizon has us by the balls. No other options if you want reliable service. T-mobile's plans are certainly attractive but no service available in my area.

fucking lame. I requested tomorrow off, got a confirmation email and everything that it was all set for 9/11. Today I look at my schedule and it shows me working tomorrow because they put my day off in for next week. And now it's too late to change so I have to work tomorrow. I was supposed to be playing Destiny all day!

Don't you play games all day anyway?

That sucks. Now you'll play Destiny over the weekend and already be bored of it next week on your day off.

I went to Pappadeaux at lunch with a group from work.  They have a cajun seafood buffet.  I am positive that I will not be getting any work done this afternoon now.  I just want to take a nap.

I had Sprint from like 2003-2005, and the service was horrible. This was before 3G/4G and all that, but in the city area, it's fine. But I live out in the Parkville area, and if I was in my apartment, I could literally be in the same spot talking one minute, then the next it cuts off and I can't get a signal. It may have changed by now, but I hated Sprint when I had it.

Its either pay $990 to crown and cap it or pay $150 to get it pulled. I was lucky to have my wisdom teeth come in perfectly as a kid but looks like I'm losing one of them now.
Good call. I remember the stitches being annoying as fuck once it started to heal, wanted to rip them out myself.
