since Zimm asked a fantasy question I will too. Was offered Fred Jackson for Trent Richardson in another league, thoughts?
I'd do it. Jackson gets the goalline carries, and Bradshaw vultures Richardson's. Also, Jackson is more productive between the 20s.

Just wanted to tip my hat to all of you that plat'd Velocity Ultra and/or 2x. I have perfects on everything, in Ultra, except 38, 42 & 50 and that'll probably be about as far as I go. Also, I suck at the Smith's game so that plat was unlikely anyway.

Seriously, fuck Smith's game right in the waxy earhole.

Woohoo. Just realized TT messed up my streak somehow. Rebuilt and now I'm at 80 days and 531 trophies.

I'll update you guys tomorrow on any continuing process.

Oh, and the day after, too.

end up finishing? please give it an overall rating in number format or therms.
finish the story?
Of course I finished. Who do I look like?

The ending blows, but the game is great. 9/10. Best retail game I've played on new-gen consoles. Combat is great (I like it better than the Arkham games, the combat is easier than the Arkham games), exploration is great (the easy climbing is SO nice. I mean, yeah, it's overly easy. But climbing in the older AC games is so grating after a while). Mission structure is good and more than enough variety to keep you interested. Oh did I mention the combat is awesome, I just wish it was a tad harder at certain points.

I wasn't quite as enamored with the captain/warchief/nemesis thing as others, but it is still cool enough. Definitely rebuying when it's cheap or a GOTY version to play the DLC and get the platinum trophy. I just didn't feel like dinking around with those non-collectible trophies right now. I have other stuff to play and it will give me more of a reason to rebuy it and keep it permanently in the future.

Must play.

do you have to follow targets around stealthily like in assasin creed, and auto fail mission if you are spotted?

The stealth in the game is waaaay overpowered. You can just walk up behind a band of 15-20 orcs and easily just stealth kill them one by one within 1-2 minutes. The orcs also don't follow you around like in AC; if you climb up something or drop down and there's not a really obvious stairway right there they won't follow you at all. It's super easy to just take a few steps to safety if you're low on health or just want to back off. It's a useful approach especially in situations like one mission where you're supposed to kill a bunch of trainees, but fighting them causes an alarm to go off and tons of extra orcs show up. I'd kill as many trainees as I could, retreat, wait for the extra orcs to leave, then kill more trainees to finish the mission.

I haven't seen a follow mission yet, but I will say that in some missions you follow an NPC as the two of you talk. A nice thing about it is you'll usually auto-walk with the NPC instead of having to manually do so. That's a nice touch. I'm sure I've seen it before, but I don't think it's standard (and it should be.)

You don't have to follow targets like in AC, but there are stealth missions where you can't be seen otherwise you will auto-fail.

That being said, the stealth is piss easy as well. It's an extremely generous stealth system.

It's like the developers took a long hard look at Assassin's Creed and the Arkham games, removed all the "Bullshit" moments (i.e. "Bullshit, there's no way that guy can see me!" and "Bullshit, I countered that attack in time") to make it a much smoother (albeit simpler) experience than either of those games.

Then decided to throw in a bunch of "Bullshit, where the fuck did these 50 orcs come from?" moments.

that is what i hate in the ac series. having to walk with the npc during certain missions, the npc walks so slow, and you have to manually walk beside them

i guess i will add the game to my have to play list.

No, there was none of that stupid shit. Sometimes you have to walk along side an NPC towards a mission while he's talking, but nothing as dull as the pure stalking missions in AC.

It's a pretty good game. It definitely feels very simplified, but I'd say the only bad thing about it is the infinite orcs, which is a standard thing in open world games. I'm not sure why the hell we can't have an open-world game where shit stays dead or respawning is handled in an intelligent manner. Sure, if I walk into a fortress I can understand there being 500 orcs...but I want there to be 500 orcs from the beginning, and if I kill them that should be it instead of more magically appearing every 42 seconds.

I assumed YBX was talking about the tailing missions in AC. Those are fucking stupid as shit and one of the reasons I won't replay Black Flag. I loved everything about Black Flag, but those stupid fucking tailing missions were so boring. And every other mission was a tail...either on foot or in your ship, and they all sucked.

Luckily, I think I read that Ubisoft actually took the feedback that you can give after each mission, saw that people were voting against the tailing missions, and promised to cut down on them for future games.

Ubisoft: "Ok, it looks like EVERYONE who played our last AC game hated the tailing missions. We'll go ahead and cut down on them, we'll only have 4 instead of 8 next game."

I guarantee you that's the discussion they had. JUST fuckING REMOVE THEM. I love when big companies refuse to change things simply because "that's the way we've always done it".

yeah, that is what i am talking about .

i voted no, but i don't feel like going around in circles with him. i know not all kickstarters are equal, but i backed one that was supposed to be released 3 months ago, and it's been at least twice as long since i was emailed an update. at least a preorder from an actual dev is guaranteed to get me something, if not my money back.

i think they should make a sub forum of the deals page for all preorder/kickstarter/other shit i can't order and receive now.

i also wish they would turn ac series into an more open world game like gta v, and let us freely harass , and attack the civilians. and attack and rob shops for gold/ money . lol

It amazes me you could perfect all those levels but then be defeated by the Smiths levels. Keep at it! You'll get it much faster than say level 50.
