Finally beat Evil Within on survival in 18 hrs and 48 mins and died exactly 100 times and i still dont know what the hell happened in the story. Nice.  This shit was like the neverending game from hell- 7/10. Mikami i am dissapoint

It is supposedly just graphics. I should be getting in the PS4 version today. If there are any other things different, I will let you know.

$14.99 new is a pretty good price. I could see the PS3 version getting to $10 pretty easily though with the PS4 version possibly holding price longer as more people get the newer console.

A lot of the physical LEGO games for PS3 seem to be holding at $20 all over, so I'd go for it. Like you said Backlog, you'd at most save $5 on Black Friday or something.

You could always PM that price at Best Buy, as the $14.99 listing is sold by Amazon and Best Buy PMs them. Of course, you'd have to factor in gas/time/whatever, but still.

Yeah I thought about that as well. It'll be a few days before my wife is near our closest Best Buy, and I'm not sure if it's a permanent price drop or not. I may just try and find some stocking stuffers to go with it (Skylanders).

 
And upon cross-checking prices for the Skylanders figures I wanted to order with it, I find Best Buy has some of the figures on sale. *Sigh*

Heck, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the PS4 version for $9.99 from Gamefly if they decide to do daily sales again. The XB1 version was already sold at that price earlier this month.

 
I had a decent run at the Daily Challenge last night, but blew it as far as getting to the City of Gold. Dumb death. I did defeat Olmec, though, and did a little ghosting in the ice levels (which I don't find boring. YMMV, obviously). Incidentally, anybody playing, switch the HUD to advanced mode or whatever it's called. The most useful thing this does is give you elapsed time in each level. The ghost comes out when it hits 2:30. It also makes the HUD cover less of the screen, so it's useful for that too (well, it probably covers more of the screen, but it's all at the top edge).

This is a possibility. Since I have had the PS4 version in my Q for some time, I can say for certain it has been "Available Now" in terms of availability for a long time. Games do not tend to go on sale until they have been freely available for renters for some time or if they have been very low for some time and are suddenly Available Now. Those are the ones where they tend to have a ton of copies since it was a highly hyped game (think Watch Dogs). They usually are not as low of a sale price as the games like Lego Marvel where they have had an excess inventory for a while.

Dilemma is over. Ordered one at Walmart for the same price with in-store pickup. It's close to our bank so it can be picked up on the weekly trip there.

 
Race the Sun and Escape Goat 2 this week. I want both, but should probably just get one. Hmm. Is anyone here going to get Race the Sun? And if so will you be doing the Daily Challenge in it?

That actually explains why Amazon was selling it for $14.99 in the first place. Man, they've gotten lazy over the past couple of years, just PMing other places without offering good sales of their own...

I've noticed that as well. I guess when you're Amazon people will buy from you anyway, so not much incentive for them to sell at a cheaper price. I know people that buy tons of stuff on Amazon without at least checking a couple other places for a cheaper price, and lots of times end up paying much more than necessary. Like my boss, he thinks since he has a Prime membership that he has to order EVERYTHING from Amazon, no matter the price.

Living where you do, he probably still comes out ahead with that method. Having it delivered to your door quickly for free probably saves him more in the long run than getting a sale price elsewhere that doesn't include shipping or driving to a store 25 miles away.

 
Also if they have the Amazon Visa they get 3% back (vs. 1%) when buying at amazon. So if the prices are identical, you're going to pick amazon to save a little more money.

I guess I should have been more clear, I mean on like office supplies and stuff that could potentially be cheaper somewhere else online. On personal items I'm sure you're right.

The PS button doesn't work. So you still need the PS3 controller for that. There is a long list of games that work with the DS4 on the PS3. A vast majority of them work but not all. I have been using my second DS4 with my PS3 pretty much as soon as the firmware was updated to allow it to work wirelessly.

Their RNG finally gave me a Exotic weapon bounty last night as well. I was lucky I ended up picking the one that seems easyist to complete. The Super Good Advice machine gun. Just have to wait till Friday to buy the ammo from Xur.

So yesterday their RNG was really liking me a lot. Probably screwed for a couple another month or two now.

I really hate going to Walmart, but we save a good bit on groceries and household items. I make enough to live what I consider to be a comfortable life, but not enough to where I can purposely pay more for everyday items just because I don't like Walmart. Just go, get what you need, and leave.

 
So, I think my PS4 has the disc slot eject issue. Did the power cycle yesterday, everything was fine. Woke up today, and as I'm brushing my teeth, I hear my PS4 turn on and eject the disc. Now that it's happened twice, should I send it in for servicing?

Wait - you can use a DS4 on the PS3 wirelessly? When did they update that? I thought it was tethered only….

 
Oh and to add some more context to my boss wasting money, I have an Alienware Aurora-R4 to mainly work in spreadsheets. Spreadsheets! Oh and a 30 inch monitor.

The new controls allow you to use L2 to run, which stops him from skidding, and it forces you to be a bit more careful with your steps. The jump button will now let you hop from left to right without pressing a direction, so you won't have anymore accidental deaths while stepping on mines.

nope, common problem. Happens to me alot too. Just turn it off and stand it up and then put it down again and it should be fine. Remove all the plugs after turning it off too.
