You sure that's what it's from?My right thumb really hurts. I guess its all that strafing from Shadow Warrior. I dont think I have played a shooter or any game in a long time that made me move around as much as fast.
Yep. And your naive enough that I am not sure if your implying it hurts from my taming of the one eyed snake or if you are genuinely asking if I could have hurt it from something else. You sure that's what it's from?
I'm trying to think of what possible thumb exercises she was fantasizing about. Excessive thumb sucking? Using your thumb to massage your prostate? A thumb war weekend league? Hitchhiking without a towel?Yep. And your naive enough that I am not sure if your implying it hurts from my taming of the one eyed snake or if you are genuinely asking if I could have hurt it from something else.
But just like any other man on planet earth my age, my wrist/hand is built for battle so my thumb wouldnt be affected from that.

I haven't played thumb war in a looong time. Forgot about that.I'm trying to think of what possible thumb exercises she was fantasizing about. Excessive thumb sucking? Using your thumb to massage your prostate? A thumb war weekend league? Hitchhiking without a towel?
Me neither. That was so 6 years ago.I haven't played thumb war in a looong time. Forgot about that.
You really do have to play it; it's fantastic!Sunset Overdrive is the first attractive X1 retail exclusive to me. Scalebound and Quantum Break will probably number 2 and 3. Super Time Force also looks amazing but it's on PC too if I ever HAVE to play it.
I actually thought Resistance 3 was one of the better shooters I played on PS3. Really creative and varied, with an almost salvageable plot and some great art design. I didn't care for the first and haven't played the second, but 3 really surprised me.Just too bad Insomniac gave us years of mediocre Resistance games on PS3 just to jump to Microsoft and put out something like this.
I heard the plot isn't very good so you probably won't like it.Oh man, 1001 Spikes would be awesome!
It's just too bad it has that corruption bug that I don't think was ever fixed. I know there's a workaround, but...I actually thought Resistance 3 was one of the better shooters I played on PS3. Hardy-har. If a game is free, I don't give a crap about its plot.I heard the plot isn't very good so you probably won't like it.
That's even sillier reasoning than I expected.Hardy-har. If a game is free, I don't give a crap about its plot.
Yeah, but after it was all said and done you got someSuper Mario Sunshine is fun like every Mario, but it's probably my least favorite 3D Mario too. Some of those blue coins were a huge pain in the ass to get.
Just waiting on Capy to make that a possibility for me. I've tweeted them a few times with no response so far.You really do have to play it; it's fantastic!
That's a pretty good deal, too bad there isn't a Sams club within an hour drive of me.Posted this in the non gaming deals section but since that place probably gets less traffic than midnight on Elm Street on Halloween, I thought I'd give you a heads up that living social has a deal for a Sams Club Plus membership with a $20 gift card and free food (rotisserie chicken, spinach artichoke dip, cookies, and a baguette) for $45. http://www.cheapassgamer.com/topic/337384-sams-club-plus-membership-20-gift-card-free-food-45/
You do? That is awesome. I didn't actually get all the stars in that one due to the aforementioned blue coins.Yeah, but after it was all said and done you got someing sunglasses and a sweet ass hawaiian shirt though... your Mario be pimpin endgame.
I hope so. It not being out in EU yet is definitely something that could make me wrong though. Though it's possible that it will just release in EU the first week of Nov and they get it for free.1001 Spikes would be great. You better be right, Tyler!!!
Don't remember what you said about SoM, just meant the general perception that you dislike everything (which I disagree with). And, yeah, Resistance 2 & 3 are worth your time. Maybe my expectations were low, but I really enjoyed the story. And the guns are awesomely demented. Saw Fuse on clearance but skipped over it.I do want to point out that I never said I disliked SoM. I brought up some problems with it, sure, but that's a different thing entirely.
I've got the Resistance Collection and Fuse, but haven't tried any of them yet. Really need to get started on those. Not sure why they never added trophies to Resistance, though.
Really? It downloads the update but it should never install automatically. Just from a legal standpoint I don't think that's allowed.I know it doesn't happen every time, but since it has before, I'd recommend turning off the automatic system update on your PS4 just in case it turns out to be a brick update like that one time. Better safe than sorry.
Unless they've changed with the X1, Microsoft requires 1 year of exclusivity for XBLA games, so the soonest they could put it on PS3/4/Vita would be next May (it did come out on PC, but from what I've gathered Microsoft doesn't really care about PC releases).Just waiting on Capy to make that a possibility for me. I've tweeted them a few times with no response so far.
It has never installed automatically, just downloaded. People have to be really dumb to skip all the screens showing you agreements and changelogs before you install it.Don't remember what you said about SoM, just meant the general perception that you dislike everything (which I disagree with). Regarding the perception...yeah, that's why I've been pretty careful lately to correct people when they make statements like that. I'm pretty precise about what I say most of the time, and even if I give a list of five things that don't work well with the game, or state specifically that there was an element of the game I didn't like...that doesn't mean I disliked the game. People tend to jump to conclusions quite a bit in here, though.Don't remember what you said about SoM, just meant the general perception that you dislike everything (which I disagree with). Pretty sure the changlogs for that PS3 update never said "This update might brick your system." I could be wrong about that though, I skipped through them all.It has never installed automatically, just downloaded. Should have been $10 IMO. Looks pretty rough.
Probably because it was HD remade on the Wii U.How is it we've been discussing best GameCube games all morning and no one has mentioned Wind Waker?
Oh, you mean PS3? Which still doesn't install the update automatically.Pretty sure the changlogs for that PS3 update never said "This update might brick your system." I could be wrong about that though, I skipped through them all.
But it you're even dumber if you just install an update for any electronic device without at least checking around to see if there are any known issues caused by the update.
Okay Dead Tex... do we really need to open up the debate of how over the top the series is in general? While Twin Snakes looks nice compared to MGS1, I think it added some...unnecessary things.

Exhibit A.
If I have to pay $15+ for a game, I have to consider the plot together with the gameplay. If the game looks really, really fun, has a barebones plot, and there are ways I can make back what I pay or profit, I'll likely bite anyway. After typing that, maybe I'll eat my words with Sunset Overdrive when I eventually get an XB1, but we'll see. That's even sillier reasoning than I expected.
By this do you mean that the plat is super easy and anyone can get it in under 10 hours? Don't think that really qualifies as "good as you can get." I don't mind getting an easy platinum, but in my opinion a "good" trophy list should be reasonably attainable, but also provide a decent challenge.Regarding the perception...yeah, that's why I've been pretty careful lately to correct people when they make statements like that. I enjoyed Resistance: Burning Skies quite a bit. The guns were interesting, the trophy list was about as good as you can get, the strong female character was refreshing and kicked ass, and the game was short enough not to overstay its welcome.
I picked up Fuse and some other game for a few bucks in the GS thread. Cheap has an appeal.
If we talk Mario and Smash, we can assume games like Zelda and Pokemon are included as well. It's Nintendo, the machine rolling out new IPs every second. How is it we've been discussing best GameCube games all morning and no one has mentioned Wind Waker?

Yeah, but unfortunately receiving it means you've done absolutely everything in the game so you don't really get to enjoy it much. You do? That is awesome. I didn't actually get all the stars in that one due to the aforementioned blue coins.
No, I mean that the majority of the trophies were obtainable for simply playing the game, and the remaining trophies were for doing specific things you had to go a little but not far out of your way to achieve. There was a trophy for playing online; that just meant you had to play a single game online. Kind of a "see if you like it" trophy. The other effort-required trophies were all for things like killing enemies a certain way, leveling up all your guns, using all of your guns in either mode, things like that.By this do you mean that the plat is super easy and anyone can get it in under 10 hours? Aw man, I was hoping for CEO.I'd like to announce that Munky is now the CFO of TyStotch Games. That stands for Chief Funding Officer. He'll be sending us at least $5k to get Crafty Minor Too off the ground. Thanks and congrats, munky!
I assumed it was physical only since Gamefly did not have a listing for it (and still don't). They usually get almost everything that comes out regardless of how bad it looks.
join my gs group for that bro. need 2 resell spots!$40

In my opinion, a trophy list where you can easily get the plat in one playthrough that only takes around 6 hours is not a good list. If every game was like this we'd all have 300 plats, and I don't think that's a good thing. To each their own, though. No, I mean that the majority of the trophies were obtainable for simply playing the game, and the remaining trophies were for doing specific things you had to go a little but not far out of your way to achieve. IMO trophies should not require multiple playthroughs unless the gameplay changes completely to justify it. Ys: Memories of Celceta for example required playing through twice for one of the trophies. The trophy was the stupidest thing; there are 6 unique items in the game, but you can only get three per run. Two playthroughs minimum for the plat. That's just idiotic and is a great example of a developer using poor artificial incentives for people to play a game more; "Hey, let's throw in a bullshit requirement to make people spend an extra 40 hours in the game just so they'll feel like they beat the whole thing!"
Killzone 2 has similar requirements for the multiplayer. Quite a few MP FPS games seem to take that route. So yes, Resistance: Burning Skies had what I'd consider an ideal trophy list for a FPS.
