Shit $15 for GCU, I might have to bite finally. I'm not a member...is there a card or something for the club I need to bring to the register?

They're all available on Netflix or Amazon Prime. We haven't watched those two yet. For some reason we're only watching episodes that have force in it. Jungle Force. Wild Force. Time Force. MegaForce.

Edit:

Forgot NinjaForce.

I think we've watched Season 1, Episode 1 "day of the dumpster' about 10 times now too.
Of those Force series, Wild Force and Time Force preceded SPD. The other three fall into the aired-after-SPD-and-therefore-suck category. :whistle2:

I finally got to try out my Playstation 3D TV this weekend (mainly use it as a computer monitor). Played some ICO in 3D, pretty sweet actually. I might have to play more in 3D like Uncharted 3.

You don't need the card for GCU since there's a SKU that the employee can enter, but it makes things much easier if you have one. The GCU cards at my store were located on the side of one of the registers at the cube-like "Solution Center" or whatever it's called in the middle of the store. I presume most Best Buys have those now.

I saw that you were playing ICO while I was online the other day. I then remembered that you said you didn't have time for AC II and felt sorry for you.

You have to buy the $15 phone too, right? So $30. Still a good deal, but I'm going to pass as I got the 2 years startup thing and like Tyler knows, they are going out of business before that's up.

Hey nerds, what's the best company to buy a decent PC from? Yes, I know building a PC will be cheaper but I don't give a shit. I just need it for basic Internet use (ie: porn) and maybe strong enough to play mid-tier PC games (mostly indies though).
Depends on how much you want to spend. There are some brands I would advise staying away from (HP, Dell), but otherwise it's mainly dependent on how much you want to spend and what sort of specs you want. Give me a number and I'll try to find something prebuilt (I'm assuming you want a desktop?).

It's ok, I'm playing ACIV now. I still have AC II digitally on the 360, just didn't want to re-buy at $10. I can still play it whenever I want...so someday. I'm higher on the series now since IV grew on me so much. Thanks for your concern though :).

Yeah, I was having a hell of a time explaining what I was trying to do at the register. Couldn't find a card and they didn't know the SKU. It wasn't until we got lucky and found a single card behind a stack of other cards at the register that they were able to scan the items and see the deal automatically pop up. The manager mentioned the $30 with a game deal and seemed surprised about the phone deal.

So yeah, definitely use a card if at all possible since the computer does all the work from that point (and make sure they get your rewards number first).

COD is about as over the top as I expected it to be. Glad to see someone went and played Dead Space and learned to replace the old school HUD with info on the gun. Not as cool as how Metro did it but a welcome change.

GCU is free with the $15 phone. Not another $15 on top of that. I'm good till 2018 now.

$15 for the phone but membership is free so $15, on the deals page.

I thought the membership was $15 and phone was $15. Hmm. Maybe I'll chance them being open for more than 2 years!

Reading some people are good until 2020, they crazy.

Why are people so stoked for X1 deals? I mean your still getting an X1 and not a PS4...inferior. It's kind of weird how far I've come though...having 3 consoles last gen to firmly sticking with 1 this gen. It makes it easier though only having 1 ecosystem to deal with. I think I prefer it this way. I already know I can't even come close to playing everything anyway.

Considering one of the founders of Sledgehammer Games created Dead Space and the other directed it, this doesn't really surprise me.

I'd sooner buy an X1 than a PS4. It has more games out and coming soon that I'm interested in than PS4, which is what matters most to me.

If they are not back in the gaming section somewhere or up by the cash register they might be behind the register counter (that's where they were at my store). Need your my reward zone card, the phone, and the gamer club unlocked to purchase card.

Definitely stay away from Dell. The hibernate feature works as poorly as the rest feature on the PS4. I had 2 of them, will never buy a Dell again.

And those were the two brands I always default to considering, haha. I'm thinking maybe around $600? Like I said, I don't need anything major, but actually, since you're the streaming guy, what would be a good PC for doing that? And yeah, I'm looking for a desktop, thanks for the help.

A little strange only because I'd figured you'd have more cross pollination on the PC and X1 as opposed to PC and PS4. It's not that I wouldn't enjoy an X1 but I didn't like their focus out of the gate. I also tend to enjoy 3rd person games as opposed to 1st. PS3 had more 3rd person exclusives. Seems like it will be a continuing trend this gen. There will be the games I'll miss out on (Sunset, Quantum) but I figured that would happen.

The brands may surprise you, Stick to Asus, lenovo, and sometimes Samsung

Asus is the big one and you can get them cheap.. This one for instance

Not entirely sure why youd want to buy the obviously inferior product, but to each their own.
It looked like he said why in his post. A gaming console is for games. If there are more exclusives on the Xbox that he wants to play it makes perfect sense. Outside of Sunset Overdrive, there is not a single Xbox exclusive I would bother playing, but that does not mean it would be the same for everyone else.

Damn should have used the sarcasm font I guess.

how bad is your internet or is Cod that bad? I have yet to wait for an install since getting my PS4
My internet is fine, the in game menu says its installing. Exo and MP are done, I didn't choose an option to start either of those, I just queued up the install from the webstore and it started automatically. I have 18 minutes left before I can play single player. But my game info screen wasn't changing GB. I ended up starting up some Guacamelee and checking it, and all of a sudden its at 20gb installed. Literally, within 20 minutes. So I'm guessing there was just some kind of massive delay on the info screen.

Deej hinted on Bungie forum that there will be consequences for those that choose to play COD:AW. Obviously he didn't come out and say it directly like I did, it took 5 paragraphs of choose your destiny bla bla bla don't let the evil win bla bla bla. Some people posted that you can get around this by deleting Destiny first then installing COD:AW.

Personally, I'd pay Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break (maybe--I don't like the integration with TV, though), Master Chief Collection, and D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die, but that's not enough for me to drop $300-$400 on another system when I have so much else to play on PS3 & PS4. If I could get an XB1 for $200, then maybe...maybe.

playing duty ps3??

Singstar has trophies for playing 300 songs with a friend. How long will it take RPG holding two microphones up to a speaker that's playing the actual song until he gets the plat?

Is english your second, or third, language?

Sounds like an asshole but you're probably just reading into it too much.

For streaming you mainly want a decent CPU. This is probably overkill, but is right around $600 and would work for streaming/gaming/porn. The only main detractor is it's a bit gaudy looking, but that's a personal thing: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227509
