Well GZ picks up after Peace Walker which isn't as batshit insane as the other games since it pre-dates them. Having ripped through a lot of MG lately, it almost seems like the right way to play them. I actually pretty much sort of understood the whole thing. :)

Definitely mad. Or nah? You're being a debbie downer if you dont think our normal team can handle hard mode. You're just used to playing with idiots, because, well, you're playing with idiots all the time.

 
trying not to smoke at lunch today. the wife and I figure that if we're not moving to california and using that as a cutoff point for quitting we gotta start somewhere. so I apologize as I may reach new levels of annoying.

Hatoful Boyfriend (aka Pigeon Sex Simulator) was originally a Japanese indie game, and Mediatonic only really dealt with translating and adding new artwork.

As a former smoker, just do other stuff...chew gum, chew on a toothpick or blade of grass if you're a hillbilly, chew a straw, suck on a lollipop etc. Maybe go exercise or something. Take your mind off it.

thanks. we've quit every time she's been pregnant and usually quite a while after the baby so I'm familiar with it and it shouldn't be too awful. it's more annoying than anything. definitely be good to not be going outside when it's 5 degrees like a total fucking nitwit though.
 
if I had anything resembling excessive free time and spare money I'd pick up an x1 for a couple games. instead I'll just farm aquapazza ranked matches for half an hour in the mornings until ac:unity comes out.

I know, I know. You saw someone do it online and they made it look super easy so it must be.

Oh and also, what the hell is the point of doing it now, Matt? Why would we waste our time being super frustrated when eventually we're going to have 3-4 30s and it'll be substantially less difficult?
 
I've been doing the Bing scratch and win game everyday and haven't won shit. Maybe by the end I'll have won carpal tunnel. Does anyone really win in these contests?

yep! I have like 40 more to plug through and then I'm done with the online trophies. then there's the traditional arc/aksys style 'have (specific character) do (obsessively obnoxious feat that you basically have to do in 2p versus because it would never happen under real circumstances)' trophies and I'll be all platted up.

I know it's obvious info but if you can make sure most if not all of your team has maxed raid weapons/ good weapons. For me I use vision of confluence for primary, void sniper for oracle section and atheon (I use praedyths revenge), void fusion rifle for all other sections, and truth or gjallahorn for heavy. Even corrective measure packs a decent punch. Sniping atheon with nearly 3 clips of praedyths for crits with weapons of light deals about 150K of damage every time you unload on him. Weapons of light is great. Only part that's hard is having someone on your team that doesn't know how to handle a relic.

I'm probably going to be playing on Vita, since I would be able to play and watch tv, but is there any advantage to playing Spelunky on ps4?

Yeah if I can get Mordor for $25 I will. I am not rushing out at 5am or right after Turkey dinner though. Might also grab BL 2.5 for $35.

And we have two people who are good with the relic, one who is decent, and three who as of last week had no idea what to do with it. Plus I'm pretty sure that not everyone in our group has max weapons. Definitely not Truths since most of us just got them.

Does Hotline Miami rely on split-second timing and one hit deaths through the entire game? Cause, i really don't need that frustration.

 
It is true, they just said they're going for "parity" but didn't give any details on the specs.  I saw it on NeoGAF but not sure where that source came from.

I don't recall "parity" being used last gen, when they were throwing barely working versions of games on the PS3 and just bitched/moaned how complicated it was developing for the PS3. Now they just hand it to devs the easiest ride available and they go "parity".

I'd like people to play on PS4 so I can watch replays and see ghost carnage, and I play better on PS4 usually, but no.
