All that Target talk reminds me that I'm going to be close to a Fry's on Black Friday. I'll be sure to post the ridiculous unobtainable deals I see.

this is another game I'm obscenely bad at. how do you plan your routes? It always felt like it was a lot of trial and error (learning where everybody is) and luck. is there some super technique to all of it? I'd love to bump up my shitty completion percentage on it someday.

I would suggest making sure everyone knows how to use the relic. Worst thing about atheon is getting to like less than 1/4 health and getting 3 clueless people teleported. Truth isn't as necessary. That sniper is better for damage I think. Someone always happens to kill them self with rockets too so they can be a hazard lol.

Yeah we have 2 of them in the heavily populated areas of the Northern burbs (Alpharetta and Duluth). One is just a few miles from where I work. A group goes to a place across the street from it every Thursday at lunch it is so close.

I sent them a video and then Matt said "I didn't watch that you have to explain it to me." Even though the video was like two minutes long and does a way better job than I ever could at explaining how to use it.

Those are just sentences he copy/pasted from other sources. I'm not even joking, I'm being 100% serious. I'm sure if you go to GAF or thwt link he posted, someone there would have said that exact same thing and he copied it.

Wish you best at quitting. I had smoked for 15 years and I quit 5 years ago. I quit cold turkey and laughed when others said I can't hang out with smokers cause I'll be tempted. Well I still have friends that smoke around me all the time and to this day I haven't had a single drag.

Also feels good to not get sucked into the whole vapping to quit method.

Good luck man and if you need a fix pick up the Vita instead of a coffin nail.
 
Also it says it fixes the out of sync issue with LAN play. Yeah! Will see about getting a Crunchewy & Sons Spelunky stream going this weekend.

It's like puzzle game...that murders you, think trippy, top-down view Hitman game. If you are still using the standard mask you might try flipping between them to find one that compliments your style, I used wolf (for the starting knife, high score in ch.5 to unlock it) and horse (for lethal kicking open of doors, high score in ch.3 to unlock) a lot. Melee and silent throwing weapons are what I recommend so you can take your time taking them out one or two at a time. Gunplay requires too much twitch accuracy as it alerts everyone on the floor.

All the entrants added me on PSN, everything is ready to go.  Everyone feel free to start at 7PM eastern when the challenge goes live if you want.  You can wait for the leaderboards to start filling up to see where everyone else placed, but it might be fun to just go in blind too.

You could technically also wait around and watch other people's runs to get tips  and hints.  Kind of a d-bag move, but no real way we can stop you from doing it.

Well yeah, a lot of it is trial and error. You should be using melee weapons through most of the game. If you're having trouble on a level, watch a video.

I thought that as well, but I think I recall a lack of punctuation with some of them. Of course if he gets it from the comments section or something that could explain that.

 
Stotch have you done an exotic bounty before?

Doing the one for thorn and got to the crucible part, have to kill with void. Hoping the melee for Titan defender counts as void.

Otherwise I got a shotgun (the comedian) that does void.

This is going to take a while....

You can't watch a replay until you play the DC for that day yourself, so this is only an issue if people stream. So don't stream the DC.

It was easy to do in ßword of crota but they nerfed tge amount of majors found in the level
 
Incidentally, everybody playing my might want to add each other to your friends lists so you can check results, see ghosts, see replays of each other.

You should have the option to vertically scroll through and select a mask at the start of each level when you get out of the car after leaving your apartment and heading to the job site.

I had just finished sending out requests to everyone in the novice division that wasn't on my list already. I constantly need to now how shitty I'm doing compared to y'all.

I have that one and each time you die, you lose points. I'm gonna hope I get a void primary on this next raid or else I'll play sniper for a long ass time.

You're hilarious dude. There was nothing to explain, I was familiar with the general use from the gatekeeper portals. When you sent the video, there was no need to watch it, we weren't doing it on hard and I never had to get the relic. All you had to say was "jump smash, jump+r2"....instead you let our team wipe 5 times before you said anything. We were just using the standard attack (r1) and it wasnt working fast enough and we would die with the relic. How hard would it have been to say something? Then I could have helped the other people, who also weren't aware of the controls, and we wouldn't have had those problems. Now youre under the delusion that since randoms suck, and we didnt know the relic controls, our team cant do it on hard. No faith.

Somehow I messed up and didnt get my shotty. Used a sniper rifle, grenades and oh thank fucking god, melee as a defender counts as void.

Wont be TOO bad I dont think, especially since melee counts as defender.

Didnt try much, got 29 in first match.

Grabbing shotty now, should be higher next match.

 
Did really good with my Spelunky practice run today. Ran around smacking snakes for a few moments then had a spider fall on me and bounce me into a pit where I died in the first level with zero gold.

You guys can just go ahead and forfeit, since it's pretty clear how this is gonna go down.

I played the demo on PS3 like a year ago and haven't touched it since. I thought about firing it up for this challenge but decided to go in cold so it hurts more.

When you send someone a video and say "Here's a good video explaining relic controls." You assume they watch it. I didn't say anything about the controls because I assumed you watched the video, numb nuts. If you told me you didn't watch the video, then I would know I'd have to explain them. I'm pretty sure you're the only one who wasn't aware you could melee with the relic. You don't even have to jump smash, it's just faster. I'm not a mind reader Matty, if you're having an issue learning something you need to tell someone so they can explain it to you.

And no, I don't have faith that our team can do it on hard. We have two 30s. If we get teleported to Venus, and one of the 30s doesn't go, the Minotaur is going to one shot whoever has the relic. I don't understand why this is so hard for you when everyone else seems to get it. Jesus Christ you're being annoying today.
 
Raid group, I'm going to go ahead and assume from now on Matt hasn't read or watch anything we've sent to him. So if you start to hear me trying to explain which buttons shoot and throw grenades, I apologize in advance.
