I saw they are doing an American adaptation of Luther. I think that could be potentially really cool if done right. I mean, it probably won't be done right, but there's a chance that it will. And if it really sucks, it will just get canceled and everyone can move on with their life and forget about it.

The Office was a really successful adaptation of a UK show, I'm sure there's more examples out there.

Why can't people give things a chance before immediately crucifying them?

Not sure about TV shows, but when Americans adapt foreign movies they do things like the US version of The Vanishing, and that just makes us all look like idiots.

I guess The Office and House of Cards, some "game" shows like Cash Cab and Whose Line and some cooking/reality shows are what we're looking at when we talk about successful British adaptations. The list of failed ones is a lot longer.

I usually give them a chance and get disappointed. I'm sure the same thing will happen with U.S. Luther.

Edit: I guess we could call Being Human successful, but fuck that inferior show.

Somewhere in between. The controls and stuff are fine its a perfectly competent game, but the entire concept the game is based around is pretty fuckin stupid. Like, it would be an alright $0.99 mobile game I could enjoy as a distraction for an hour then never even think about it again.

Then at every intersection you can stop and start a race. Some are regular races to the finish and other require you to "burnout" opponents. After completing certain milestones you can get new and better cars as well.

Need for Speed Most Wanted was similar to Burnout Paradise, but most of the other Need for Speeds are just races.

The thing about NFS: MW and Burnout Paradise I didnt like was the open world. was far too easy (for me) to just get lost or just randomly drive around without doing any of the races or progressing anywhere in the game.

 
well my internet is out. cycled the moden and router and everything with no luck.

kill my plans to stream far cry 4 tonight. anyone know if there is a day 1 update? I dont want to play the game if theres an update I cant get.

getting lost was why I liked it. Eventually I knew the map like the palm of my hand.

looks like xbox live is down, theyre having server issues.

every time this happens, I just think about those terrible policies MS tried to shove down our throat. every single xbox one would be 100% worthless right now.

The Prepaid Card code you entered is incorrect or is no longer valid

after saying it is a prepaid card with $50 value on it...

When I enter the $50 psn card I got for $40 through ebay...

hopefully just busy network with lots of people downloading stuff or something...

sony support just says bestbuy didn't activate it so I should be able to run by the store. That would be upsetting/funny if all 1200 or so $50 psn cards ebay sold weren't activated and people freaking out like me, lol.
