Does anyone know what time we'll be able to download Assassin's Creed 3 from PSN? Midnight?
when store updates no midnight release

Ever since the PS3 Firmware update a few days ago, my PS+ won't upload, download, or sync anything over night. Anyone else have similar issues?

Double check your settings to make sure that it's still on. Mine was off and I don't remember turning it off, so the update might be the culprit.
Does that game still have the hour full trial? I'd check and try your saves there.
Thanks to you and frisky for reminding me about this. It worked like a charm and the saves do work for both.

Thanks

mine is syncing, but seems i have to re sort my trophy list every time i check it, ugh.
i like to see the last trophies i got on top...
also i tried the r&c ffa beta, eh, bit too tower defense and not enough ratchet for me.
Double check your settings to make sure that it's still on. Mine was off and I don't remember turning it off, so the update might be the culprit.
I checked that first time it happened, it was never off. I tried turning it off, then back on just now. We'll see tomorrow.

I set trophies to offline mode as soon as possible, never had to rearrange trophy list at all like Velo. It's always been most recently played at top no resetting.

And update 3 on the Naughty Bear Double Trouble compilation. Finally got my preorder today after a delay, and (despite 505 saying "You are correct, Double Trouble is a combination of Gold and Panic in Paradise" when I asked if both were on disc) it's Naughty Bear Gold on disc with a psn code for Panic in Paradise. Dammit!

Oh well. Sold my old Naughty Bear Gold back to Best Buy for $10 with the 100% trade in promo, so basically got Panic in Paradise for $5 less than buying it from the Playstation store...plus the Texas Chainsaw Massacre preorder bonus costume. So not a loss, really.

Still a decent deal for anyone thinking about buying Panic in Paradise from psn for $15 who's interested in getting a disc copy of Naughty Bear Gold Edition for $5 more.
Just got an e-mail from Amazon saying that they now sell PSN cards.
they have been doing it for weeks now.

If you were lucky in the first week you could have used a code that would have give you 2$ discount on a 20$ card.

But then they shutdown the code to not let them use on the psn cards, because you could have gotten the square enix bundle for 2$ less and psn cards also

The quick test is to just set the time to the current hour and turn off your system. If it turns on, checks for stuff to do, and turns off, then it's working fine.

Well, that fixed it. All my stuff DL/Upload/Sync now with PS+. Time to watch some IT Crowd again, because turning it off and on again works!

Have you tried changing the sorting from the xmb outside of a game? When I did the update, after reading this thread, the first thing I did was change the trophies to offline and the sorting to newest first (before going into a game), and I'm pretty sure it's been fine and stayed that way since, including when I've checked it in game.

no most recent games are on top, but per game, most recent trophies arent on top. i have to rearrange every time. a small gripe, but hopefully they fix it...
it worked fine before the update. ill try to do that re sort before i go into a game, see if it stays perm changed. thanks for advice.

Oh, okay. Thought he was talking about the game list. I've never had my individual trophies sorted that way. Always just scrolled through them.

I wanted Dead Space 2 put didn't want to pay a few extra dollars since I'm not a PS+ member so I went to Kmart and bought Dead Space 2 on clearance for $9.97 and it's the limited edition that comes with Dead Space Extraction. And it's a resalable disk. Beat that PSN!

Spoke too soon. PS+ is NOT auto uploading/downloading/syncing anything anymore. Started with the last system firmware patch, and it's getting frustrating. I'd rather have the trophy list sort bug than this.

No problem. Wishful thinking, perhaps? Thanks as always for keeping this ever-changing thread up-to-date!
Okami HD going to be discounted for PS+?
I haven't heard them say anything like that so I seriously doubt it. Still, there ought to be something for PS Plus this week with a bunch of expiring deals so you never know, I suppose. They usually tip off blog readers if they're planning a discount on a high profile game, though.
$10 more for a art book/strategy guide, the soundtrack and some randomly assorted playing cards isn't bad. Though everyone who pre-ordered this probably did it through newegg to get the $12 off deal anyway.
I wish I didn't miss out on that.

Regular version for me it looks like.
Best Buy just posted on their twitter account about a sale on many PC titles and a few DLC cards for PS3.

Kind of meh, but discounts are discounts.
Kind of meh, but discounts are discounts.
I had no idea BB even sold PS3 DLC online. Even if the discounts aren't spectacular, it's nice if there's stuff you want so that you A) don't have to mess with a credit card or PSN store code and B) purchases count towards you Reward Zone. Just keep in mind it will NOT count towards your spend $100/get $20 =)
Kind of meh, but discounts are discounts.
Sure the discounts are negligible but just having them listed means the potential for a good sale is there. Oh boy! Possible future sales!

PS+ Update for the week.

- Wonder Boy in Monster World 80% off ($1)

SOB did not expect One Piece to get a sale. Oh well at least I'll get that 20 back next month I guess. At that price I would really recommend if you like the Dynasty Warrior gameplay.

Its cool for a discount all ready but I will remember that from Sony when I want to buy a new digital game at regular price.
Ouch, so many people here bought One Piece too. Nothin really for me besides the Sega game.
Ouch, so many people, like me. :(
$20 off One Piece, a day after I buy it at full price, just to get me over the Spend $100 in October deal, so I can earn back $20. Oh, the irony.
You win, Sony.

I don't suppose there's a Sony Buyer's Remorse hotline, is there?

Perfect! I knew waiting for a sale on One Piece would pay off. Didn't think this soon. Man with the BF3 Premium messup, ign and the many ps+ codes, and the SF x T costume dlc messup, it seems like I made a great decision to buy a ps3 before black friday.
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!! Just bought it this weekend! well at least it im getting $20 back from the $100 promo so it balances out.
Wow that's pretty crappy for people who got kicked in the junk on this deal. So far I have only spent $17.89 for HotD bundle & Infamous FoB. I was planning on getting DR2 OtR for $9.79 until I tried to login yesterday and discovered I needed to do an update and decided it wasn't worth the hassle. I was still going to have to spend $72.32 to get $20 back and I was hoping for some big sales to combo with this credit deal. Now I am fairly certain I am not going to bother at all as I hate paying regular price for anything ever and I know I will regret all $72.32 worth of purchases when they go on sale later. They should really run some B2G1 deals on PSN as I usually go apeshirt over those deals and end up buying things I don't need just to maximize the dollar value my freebie.

I would like to say Thank You to all the people who got screwed over here for helping me save some money by not partaking in this deal. Maybe next October's sale will be the first year I actually buy enough stuff to get a free PSN credit.

why? they've had a month or so to play it. this is no different than oct/nov releases going on sale for black friday. psn regulars should know by now not to pay full price for anything they aren't wanting day one.

i'm still 70-ish short for the promo, i might not even finish it out myself. even though i got a $50 code from the credit card offer. i still have to buy a few of the halloween sale games, but that's not going to put much of a dent into it. hopefully we see a good sale tomorrow, or i might just save the credit for later.

You can get 1 fat princess on almost 50% discount, which is being sold cheaply because normally 1 fat princess costs 15$ on psn store, but you can I get one with the same weight but cheaper for $7.99.

Don't get fooled.

PSN games typically take longer to have a big sale like that - 40% off is a pretty significant discount - but at $50 you know the game will eventually see a price drop or sale to reinvigorate sales. Same with retail games, buy early/pay more.
Ouch, so many people here bought One Piece too. Nothin really for me besides the Sega game.
Yeah, this is a very similar situation to the Infamous 2/Just Cause 2 sales the week before they went free, as Tsel has already made reference to as well. I do agree with your further comment, that people shouldn't be buying things full price anyway unless they're comfortable paying that much.

But I really think it's an oversight on Sony's part to put a $20 discount on One Piece so soon after release. It's just kind of a dick move IMHO.
Ouch, so many people, like me. :(

Morgan actually said people can contact Sony customer service and they review purchases on a case-by-case basis. Maybe that's his sly way of saying "if you *politely* raise hell about this, we'll give you $20 back".

It's worth a shot.
