Morgan also mentions they're going to try and release one new free game every week, though I don't know how well that will work as that's 52 free games a year. I think we'll definitely see a hit in quality if they do that.
In the past, some of the free games were those Minis & the cheaper stuff that was $1 to $3. So I wouldn't be surprised if not every game was a $10-ish PSN game or downloadable version of a retail game if they're aiming for a game a week.
Was there an update on when plus might come to vita?
From the PS+ blog comments -
We’ll be back next week with an all new PS3 Full game to bring to Plus members, and from there, it’ll be a blast off month in November with games, Plus on PS Vita coming online, and more.

It looks like it will be sometime in November, but not the first week.
Yeah, this is a very similar situation to the Infamous 2/Just Cause 2 sales the week before they went free, as Tsel has already made reference to as well. I do agree with your further comment, that people shouldn't be buying things full price anyway unless they're comfortable paying that much.

But I really think it's an oversight on Sony's part to put a $20 discount on One Piece so soon after release. It's just kind of a dick move IMHO.
Eh, I don't think it's too similar. This game has been out for a couple of weeks now, and it wasn't like it was on sale before. Also, I'm pretty sure Sony doesn't set the prices.

I wish they had more concrete details on Plus for Vita. I was holding out til the end of he month to see if I cared enough to renew Plus as part of the $100/$20.

Here's the full PS+ update post:
October is just about over, but before we say goodbye to this month (which brought Payday: The Heist, NFL Blitz, and King of Fighters XIII free to PS Plus members), we wanted to point out a great new PlayStation 3 Bundle only on Amazon.com that includes one year of PlayStation Plus.

If you know anyone who has yet to dive into PlayStation 3, this might be a great item to recommend (or buy them if you’re feeling generous). With a one year membership of PS Plus included, this bundle will keep anyone plenty busy with great games, awesome discounts, and exclusive access to PS3 features throughout that first year with Plus.

Now then, let’s greet some of those great PS Plus discounts that will help you take your gaming dollar further.

Don’t have PlayStation Plus? Go to the PlayStation Store on your PS3 or click here to get access.

October 30th PlayStation Plus Update

One Piece: Pirate Warriors

40% off for PlayStation Plus Members (Regular price: $49.99, PS Plus Price: $29.99)

If you’re fan of the iconic anime One Piece, you won’t want to pass up this extraordinary deal on a PSN exclusive. Take control of Monkey D. Luffy and his crew of pirates to battle hordes of enemies from the One Piece universe. With an amazing brawler engine designed to give your character unique abilities to tackle waves of enemies, it captures the look and feel of the anime; complete with the original Japanese VO. It’s only on PSN, so grab it today. It could be just the purchase to put you over the $100 October spend limit to get $20 back in November.

Wonder Boy in Monster World

80% off for PlayStation Plus Members (Regular price: $4.99, PS Plus Price: $1.00)

SEGA keeps reminding us of their amazing classic gaming roots with another $1 PS Plus gem. Wonder Boy in Monster World is the direct follow-up to Wonder Boy in Monster Land, which is leaving the $1 price point for PS Plus members with tomorrow’s PS Store update. Show your support for this classic, which includes 2D action RPG elements, Trophy support and timeless music, and download it for $1 when tomorrow’s PlayStation Store Update arrives.

WWE ’13 Fan Axxess

50% off for PlayStation Plus Members (Regular price: $19.99, PS Plus Price: $10.00)

WWE ’13 is releasing tomorrow in retail stores everywhere and fans couldn’t be more excited to once again live larger than life through their favorite WWE SuperStars. The WWE ’13 Fan Axxess gets you all the announced DLC coming October through January with more SuperStars, Championship Titles, and moves. Normally priced at $19.99, PS Plus members get all three content packs, exclusive WWE Superstars Diamond Dallas Page and Golddust and more; all for just $10. For more details on the content, check out the full listing on IGN.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz – Complete DLC Bundle

80% off for PlayStation Plus Members (Regular price: $1.99, PS Plus Price: $0.40)

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz released last week on PS Vita. If you like what you’ve played so far, it’s a no-brainer to pick up the Complete DLC Bundle! This bundle includes all 8 pieces of DLC; each of which enhances the Custom Level Creator to create all-new maps using fun pieces with plenty of references to SEGA’s classic games and systems.

Lastly, let’s wrap up with a poll. Remember, polls are important to us, but are only one factor we consider among many when we’re making decisions on the posed questions.

How often do you like to receive your PlayStation Plus news?

 • Weekly. I prefer a weekly post that reminds me of the newest content in PlayStation Plus as it becomes available for download.
 • Monthly. I prefer a monthly post that tells me what is coming to PlayStation Plus in the next 30 days.
 • Both. I prefer a monthly post that tells me what is coming to PlayStation Plus in the next 30 days AND I would like weekly reminders in the regular PlayStation Store update post as that content become
 • Other (leave your thoughts in the comments if you don’t see your option listed above).

That’s all for this week. Check back next week where we’ll announce a new free PS3 full game coming to Plus and more. Until then, leave your feedback in the comments, and thanks in advance for your feedback.

I would wager that they would have an Assassin's Creed game in the instant game library come November update due to the release of the two AC games.

Hope its Revelation by some slim chance, I'm too cheap to buy unless it hits 10$ again
And as far as the Vita goes, why do I get the feeling the first game will be Crapnation Racers
Watch it be something crazy like Zero Escape, Ragnarok Odyssey and AC:Liberation.

That'll sell some Vitas.

Hey guys, I think the idea behind him posting that link was that so this thread doesn't get bogged down. You may want to post your guesses over there instead.

Edit:
You do realize that this isn't the contest thread, right? You automatically lose if you guess here.
Ninjaed by the Peppy Japanese Raccoon Dog himself.

Are people really complaining about a sale on One Piece?

I know it's only a month old, but this kind of thing happens with retail games all the time. I'm happy to see sales on any of these digital-only titles, because otherwise your options are pay a price that grows more absurd with each passing month, or find an import copy.
You do realize that this isn't the contest thread, right? You automatically lose if you guess here.
Eh fail, I'm on my phone so I thought it was you linking to a post made earlier. Whatever I guess then

And to kreb, its barely a month old AND a Koei/Dynasty Warriors game. Orochi 3 has been out like a year on PSN and never dropped, this was the last thing I expected. Plus isn't it still glitched too?
Was bored at work, so wrote a CAG blog about Europe and US PS+ programs, if anyone is interested. I made a list off all the games the EU and US has gotten as well, if anyone is interested in that.

If you do end up reading it, please post in the comments there, as not to bog down this thread. Thanks.
Seeing at those lists, in my opinion Europe is getting a better quality treatment.

USA:
Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One
Starhawk (Single Player)
King of Fighters XIII

VS.

Europe:
Darksiders
Motorstorm Apocalypse
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Dead Space 2
Red Dead Redemption
Bulletstorm
Resident Evil 5

Come on!!!!

lol, look forward to reading this.

Anyone have experience with Super Monkey Ball for the Vita?
Is the game good enough to be get the 40 cent DLC now and then get the game later if it goes on sale?

The DLC is just for level creation, so only get that if you're gonna be interested in doin that.

As for Europe vs. US, the only games I'm jealous that they have that we didn't get is Oddworld. By the way, US gave away Rock of Ages too. I still prefer the US Plus program. I don't want retail games that I can buy for less than $10.

You got a point there.

I'd rather have PSN games because it's much harder to find deals on those. There's only one real outlet so if it doesn't ever go on sale there, you're forced to buy it at full-price. I have plenty of places at my disposal when it comes to finding deals on retail games.

Thanks. I guess I'll be saving 0.40 then because I know I won't be making any levels even if I buy the game. (and especially not if I don't buy the game)

Wow I didn't realize how lopsided it really was, and I have almost none of the games in their list, and could care less about 2 of the 3 in ours. C'mon Sony!

It's normally 1.99 so not worth a buck 50 in savings if you don't even have the game yet!

I think that's just his list of games, as there have been a lot more than what he listed.

It's just a comparison of the retail games.
It's just a comparison of the retail games.
Those weren't all of the retail games that each region got, so it's cut down for whatever reason. We've gotten quite a bit more than three retail games in five months.

Those are the retail games that were only released in each region. Tyler posted three lists: games that were released in both regions, games released in only US, and games released in EU.

FerDK took the last two lists and stripped it down to just the retail games.

I get that now, but he didn't say that in his post. Either way, my point was that it's not the full list of retail games, which is true.

But that's irrelevant to FerDK's point. When comparing two regions to see which one is better, the retail games that are common between them are canceled out. They don't need to be mentioned.

Damn, that is a good list. I have a lot of those EU games on PC but I'd love a console version of DS2, Deus Ex, and Darksiders.

PS+ has been a huge disappointment for me. Almost none of these titles have interested me at all save InFamous 2 and I have other games I'd rather play first before I dive into that. I'm sick of all these obscure Japanese games.

If you have a U.S. account on PS3, can you also have a Europe account too? I know this can be done on 360 but can it be done on PS3? Thanks.
If you have a U.S. account on PS3, can you also have a Europe account too? I know this can be done on 360 but can it be done on PS3? Thanks.
Of course.
How? And can I use a U.S. $50 PSN card to purchase games off the Europeon store?
Set your region as Europe? (come on... use some common sense) and no. EU supports paypal I guess, so you can use that.

Yep, I was pointing out the retail games for each region on the lists made by tylerh1701.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE PS+ and I don't complain, I just think we need some balance between USA and Europe retail and PSN free games.

:)
