Well, I mean the 60-minute trial for PS+ members. No way indicative of what Borderlands is. I completely misread it from that impression.
don't forget each time you try a trial you are doing bad to your trophy list a 0% gets added to it and basically it won't get out, but when updating your trophy card it won't even show it.
I wouldn't count that as a "demo" or anything like that since you played the first 60 minutes of the final game, which makes it the fault of the developer for not putting whatever it is that you think the game is all about up front and center.
Hmmm...okay? So, what exactly are we disagreeing on? Semantics? My point is that you can't always get the full impression of a game simply from a (demo)nstration or trial. I'm guessing this is one of the motivations behind your videos, no? I just thought it was important to advocate for people sharing their opinions rather than tersely shooting off "demo" when someone asks them about a game. Anyway, I don't really think it's the developer's fault in the case of Borderlands because the nature of the game requires that you spend plenty of time with it. There's nothing they could have done, really.
It's an action-adventure, a la Legend of Zelda. .
Everyone keeps saying this, but I'm not seeing the similarities. Are people referring to Twilight Princess?
Is Okami HD only available on PSN or will there be a disc version?
the disc version retail version only 1st November and only in Japan good luck with importing
Is one piece any good. I am debating on getting it for $29.99 or should I just wait?
If u are a fan of the series its a must buy. Audio is in Jap with Eng subtitles and u cannot find it on retail stores.

As for closure i looked at videos and game is to dark so ill pass.

Because you didn't play the demo. You played the first 60 minutes of the game and don't think it's a good representation of what happens in the rest of the game. It's the developer's fault because they designed the beginning of the game to be that way rather than get to the good stuff right away. I'll let this discussion end here.

Maybe it's just me, but Borderlands is kind of the same thing over and over again. It's very much like an MMO in that respect, but it could've used more variety to make each mission more unique than just stereotypical MMO missions. I like it, but more as a game to have occasional long sessions than one I can get addicted to.

PSN exclusive.
So...what's everyone's opinion on Closure?
It's a very fun game, $5 is a steal.
I hate demos. Don't feel they are always a good representation of the game. If they were, I would have hated Bulletstorm based on the demo. But damn if that wasn't one of my favorite games from that year.
Same thing happened with me but with the original Dragon's Dogma demo, didn't even know it was open-world until I read some forum discussion about it.

I picked up the WWe '13 Axxess Pass (still so happy about this deal!) and the new Sleeping Dogs Nightmare in North Point DLC. I expected that to be more than $5...pretty pleased it was cheap.
Anyone played The Cursed Crusade? I know it was reviewed badly but that seems to go for a lot of beat em ups.
I platinumed the game and I thought Cursed Crusade was awful. The combat was lame and slow with graphics where the weapons would clip through enemies strangely such as when you would stab someone with a sword but no blood would appear at all. The weapons have durability and I felt it ran out too quickly. There is a sort of level system in the game though. The story was poor and left open for a sequel that most likely won't come due to the first game's poor reception.

It's Atlus published, but definitely not Atlus developed. As far as getting the platinum in a game I don't particularly care for, I still go for the most bang for my buck even through I try to CAG it up on deals so doing as much as I can in a game is that for me.

Quick question, off topic. Looking at the Vitas (a gift) and I got the Wifi only one. Whats the deal about the 3G? I saw something about an AT&T free pass when you buy the first session?
Did Okami HD come out today?
Yep it's currently on the store.

Unfortunately it is a massive download and has been downloading on my PS3 for the past 2-3 hours. :(

Can't wait to play! :)

Yeah same, I'm at like 75%.
Are there any good vita deals going on right now? Just received my AC3 Liberation bundle today! Any more news on PS+ for vita?
Nah, there really aren't any good Vita deals right now. Plants vs. Zombies, Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attacks, and a bundle of Zen Pinball 2 tables were on sale earlier this month though. PS+ for Vita is coming next month, that's really all the info that's out.

The 3G for the Vita isn't worth it, stick with the wifi only one. If I remember correctly the 3G doesn't allow you to do online multiplayer and is only 250MB a month for $15 and 3GB for $30 a month.

This is spot on. The 3G serves no purpose other than web browsing, Facebook, those types of things. But most people have smart phones and are already paying to do all this stuff. 3G will never be use for active multiplayer on the Vita, as it'd be far too slow and service would vary depending on regions.

I was wondering about that, I played the Medal of Honor:W "trial" and on my gamercard it shows I unlocked 7% of the trophies. Are those actually unlocked, and if i buy the game (when it hits gamefly for $10 :p) can i continue my save?

Thanks guys

yes.
highly recommend catherine

maybe the most original, unique and crazy game this generation
Agreed. Excellent game. The puzzle stages don't do much for me (since I'm not a big fan of the puzzle genre), but the story, soundtrack, and high level of polish make it an exceptional game despite that.

IMO, it's the one game every 20-something man should play. Answer the survey questions honestly, and see what you find out about yourself (and about your fellow man)...

I bought Legend of Heroes and Half-minute Hero to get me past $100 (ended up $9.60 over, sheesh).

Just wanted to let everyone know whom to thank when they now have a sudden sale and/or price drop.

Never fails.

For the October promotion I ended up getting:

Odin Sphere - $4.99
Okami HD - $19.99
One Piece - $29.99
Final Fantasy VII $9.99
Final Fantasy VIII - $9.99
Final Fantasy IX - $9.99
Chrono Cross - $9.99
Metal Gear Solid - $9.99

Total: $104.92

Picked up a good amount of PS1 classics for my PSP that I would have purchased sooner or later. One Piece, Okami, and Odin Sphere I would have picked up anyways so I'm glad they were on sale/available this month.

As far as content, quality, and value I think 2012 is definitely Sony's year.

I went for these to get my last 50ish dollars.

Okami HD
Closure
Rainbow Moon bundle (with a soundtrack!)
Parasite Eve
Threads of Fate

I was really happy to grab these, I always neglect to get PS1 games that aren't on sale. I finally decided on PE1 over Legend of Dragoon and Front Mission 3 because SE does not have license to make new games called Parasite Eve, and I imagine that could be something that is unavailable someday digitally. It's unlikely that SE could lose rights to keep it published but I was having a really hard time deciding, haha.

I have a FM3 guide though so I will definitely get it soon. I also need Xenogears, Vagrant Story and Grandia, just so I don't have to get the discs out to play, and PSP playability of course!

I would assume that since the promotion consists of content purchased in October that you would have until the end of today, 10/31.

I decided to get my $100 worth now since Tuesday was the last day for any possible sales. Lucked out that One Piece just happened to be on sale for $29.99. :)

I really wanted One Piece but I think i'll pay a bit more for the PAL disc. I really hope they patch it as well, there is a glitch that makes the platinum a crapshoot. Some get it, but if it glitches it will be unobtainable in your current game.

slightly off topic but is anyone able to add funds to their psn wallet tonight? I keep hitting an error (both on pc and ps3) that prevents me from using my $20 prepaid card =(

I think even if I tried my hardest I'd only hit like $40 or something spent this month (I bought Dark Souls DLC, Mutant Blob, couple $1 games, thinking of getting Virtua Fighter and maybe Sunflowers) =/ Maybe if I force it and get Walking Dead and some other stuff... I wonder what else is interesting. Although I have no idea what my actual total is so far this month.

And with Xillia 2 in the mail, anything I buy is destined for the backlog anyway, so I'm less inclined to impulse buy.

I added $20 via a psn card if that's what you mean about prepaid

I'm currently at $16 or so. I didn't even come close.

Is there a list somewhere or a website which tracks the lowest price for certain games? I'm thinking about grabbing a classic or two to fill out my last $18, but I don't want to grab something that is discounted once or twice a year (as some of this is going straight to the backlog).
I highly recommend against Catherine. Just play q-Bert and watch a predictable drama on tv.
Gonna have to agree with this guy. I bought it last time it was on sale and was pretty mad at myself for not just getting a physical copy for a few bucks more (that way I could trade it back in).

The puzzle game of it is fun at first but quickly becomes frustrating and monotonous. I could not get invested in the story like at all. All of the characters are unlikable and annoying.
Has GTA Liberty/Vice City Stories ever been on sale? I'd love to play them on my vita, but $20 each is ridiculous.
I almost bought them last night, but when I can get GTA3 for 99 cents on my ipad, I cant justify 20 bucks. I am NOT buying another PSP game on PSN unless it goes on sale, the prices are outrageous and it sucks that my Vita cant accept my UMDs

aw the puzzles were too hard for you:cry:

i'm about $40 short for the $100 yet. not sure what i want to do. i'm really tempted by little king's story, but i feel it'll be plus fodder, and i won't get to it anytime soon. debating on if i want to grab some more psone classics or not. since those rarely go on sale anyway. could probably grab a few lbp costume packs since i have it on vita now, and they're cross buy with lbp2.
