I almost bought them last night, but when I can get GTA3 for 99 cents on my ipad, I cant justify 20 bucks. I am NOT buying another PSP game on PSN unless it goes on sale, the prices are outrageous and it sucks that my Vita cant accept my UMDs
IPAD games are trash. i would gladly pay the extra $19 dollars for Buttons, Dual Analog, and Quality.
Has GTA Liberty/Vice City Stories ever been on sale? I'd love to play them on my vita, but $20 each is ridiculous.
A quick and rudimentary search of the PS Blog suggests that they haven't dropped before.
i'm about $40 short for the $100 yet. not sure what i want to do. i'm really tempted by little king's story, but i feel it'll be plus fodder, and i won't get to it anytime soon. debating on if i want to grab some more psone classics or not. since those rarely go on sale anyway. could probably grab a few lbp costume packs since i have it on vita now, and they're cross buy with lbp2.
You can always just not get anything else and save $40, especially if you're trying to force your purchases.

Psp games on vita don't automatically have dual analog tgough

I would be really surprised if LKS ever became a PS+ freebie. Has a JRPG ever been a free game? I think Sony knows that they have a sizeable customer base they can cater these really zany Japanese games to who are willing to pay the premium.
Rock Band DLC?
i would've went there first, if i played rock band. thanks anyway though.

not really trying to force it. just figured i'd grab things that i'd end up grabbing later anyway. if i hadn't had the credit already in my wallet, i wouldn't even be thinking about it though.

seems like a really good target to me. especially with all the dlc they have for it. i'm not expecting it right away, but i know i won't get to the game anytime soon.

ended up grabbing some smaller stuff to finish it off:
nightmare before christmas pack for disney universe
dead nation dlc pack
rainbow moon + large starter pack
vagrant story
ff7 little big planet costume pack
zen pinball tables(pretty much all the single tables)

I'd be very surprised if Little King's Story was offered for free for Plus. It's a $40 PSN only game. Maybe we'll get a discount if we're lucky.

Yeah, I was thinking discount more than freebie. I'm sure our freebies starting out will be little deviants, reality fighters, super stardust, and the like.

I wouldn't mind seeing Lumines for Vita free/discounted. It's kind of tough to want to pay ~$20 for a retail card that doesn't even have a platinum...

Off-topic, but I just noticed IAmTheCheapestGamer got banned (I was thinking this thread has been slightly less vitriolic lately, very slightly). Anyone know why?
Yes that's it. This game is for everyone and the only ones who didn't like it found it too hard. The developers truly crafted a masterpiece by creating a game that is universally loved...if you didn't have trouble with the puzzles!
catherine wasn't "universally loved" because most people didn't try it, which is why i recommended it

like i said it it unique, original, and crazy

i also really enjoyed the puzzles and found them to be rewarding along with about a dozen endings that are completely different from each other

you said just watch some soap opera instead, well i guess if you like mass effect maybe watch star trek instead or call of duty just watch any war movie, or mario heck just watch the super mario bros movie

it is unlike any other game on the market, but hey if you prefer more of the same over and over again and aren't interested in trying something different good for you

every person i know that tried it and didn't like it couldn't handle the puzzles
Because he was a terrible part of the community
Haha I definitely laughed at that!

I never found him all that "vitriolic", he just kind of trolled, saying that PS+ sucked and that there hasn't been any good sales for months and months. Gettingmoney can probably even tell you how much he still has left in his Playstation wallet.

Though he's been better lately, he was a huge troll that had just one opinion that he repeated ad nauseum and derailed a ton of threads with that one opinion. The only thing that ever changed about him was his stance on HD not adding anything to games before he actually got an HD monitor.

$50.

Well, this is rather interesting. According to the ESRB, Cave Story is coming to both the PS3 and PS Vita. Sounds like it'll be coming to PSN and maybe it'll include cross-play/buy.

I might try and wait a week or 2, after release, to see if there's a deal on Ratchet:FFA. But, it will be so cheap to begin with! Definitely going for the retail version since it's the same price and I get a PS3 disc and a Vita download. Has there been any mention of how long the game is? They keep hinting that it's shorter than usual.

I did well on the $100:
Tokyo Jungle 11.99
Monster World 4 1.00
Odin Sphere 4.99
Kenka Bancho 7.49
Closure 4.99
Okami HD 19.99
1 year Plus 49.99
Total: 100.44

This month I ended up picking up
Crazy Taxi
Sonic Adventure 2 + Battle DLC
NIGHTS into Dreams
inFAMOUS:Festival of Blood
AMY
Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime
Costume Quest + DLC
Corpse Party
Rainbow Moon
and 1 year PS+

New Little King's Story 39.99
Odin sphere 4.99
Dokuro 19.99

METAL GEAR SOLID®: PEACE WALKER 29.99
Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack 3.91

= $ 98.87
+ Two .99 DLC

30 for Peace walker might of been bit too much
but able to use right analog stick was well worth it.

Man, the Dark Souls DLC end boss is pissin me off, he keeps whuppin my ass. Granted, my weapons aren't exactly the best since I'm using a character I created solely to whup Gwyn's ass.

On another note, I finally started Tokyo Jungle today and it's pretty awesome.

If you play as a tank, he's easier to fight than if you play light and try to dodge. I went in with Guardian armor and my Greatshield of Artorias and it went pretty well - I think I used a Black Knight Sword+5 to fight him, but none of my weapons did good damage anyway and he has a load of life. Having the extra summon there (no spoiler) helps a LOT for distracting him when you need healing too. Basically, you only really need to focus on dodging his multi-hit rush, and everything else you can just absorb until he leaves an opening.

Disclaimer: This was my experience in NG+++, so if you happen to be in NG, then I dunno, he should be way easier.

I ended up having to deal with power outage here until today so I ended up picking up Dokuro for my last $19.99 instead of Okami HD(no ps3 access).

Haven't played Dokuro yet but I've heard some good things, hope I won't be disappointed.

The $20 back will go immediately to Okami HD so I'm alllllll good~

How can we contact Sony and tel them to keep the sale going for an extra week for all those of us without electricity to go online?
There's no way to buy PS3 games online, right? MediaGO won't work for Closure or the Sega game?

You are right through a computer on MediaGO only psone classics can be bought there's no way that you can buy ps3 content, although someone was working on a PC Client for psn you can't I'm sorry.

I'm enjoying Okami so far. I had never played it on PS2 or Wii, so this is a fresh experience. To any other newbies out there, I'll warn you that it starts off verrrrry slow. I'm about 8-9 hours in so far, and to be honest, I still don't think it's really picked up. It's more that you get used to the slow pace.

Also...I'm sure there's a general consensus that this game rips off Zelda pretty bad. Basic internet searches have told me that. I have no problem with it...but my question is: Did Okami rip off Twilight Princess, or vice versa? They were both released in 2006, so it's not like one came out drastically before the other. Like Okami came out...and Nintendo decided that a wolf would be great in Zelda games. Or Twilight Princess was released and the Okami folks thought "Hey let's do the wolf thing right."

EDIT: I guess I have to add this, since certain people can't read between the lines and need everything spelled out for them. Yes, I know that games aren't made in a couple of months. That's basically what I said here. It's not as if they were released two years apart, so one company had the chance to rip off the other. They were literally released within months of each other, which also means they were in development at the same time. I suspect no foul play on either developer, but you can't help in noticing the similarities between the two games. So for someone coming in fresh, like myself, who has experience with the Zelda series: if you enjoyed Twilight Princess, you'll enjoy Okami.

Also wanted to add that while Okami is pretty slow, I enjoy it a lot more than Twilight Princess. The only way I can describe it would be to say that Okami manages to out-Zelda the Zelda series.

Is it just completely coincidental? A lot of the same stuff exist in both games, so I feel like someone did some of this on purpose.

Games aren't made in a couple of months.
Which is exactly why I said they were both released in the same year, not drastically apart. Implying that neither game had the jump on the other. I'll go back and edit it to make it easier for ya, bud.
Which is exactly why I said they were both released in the same year, not drastically apart. Implying that neither game had the jump on the other.
So why would you think that either game rips off of each other? By the time one game was released, the other was probably certified gold and sent to manufacturing.

You know that games are revealed years before they're released, right? According to Wikipedia, Okami was shown around 2005, and Twilight Princess's first trailer came in 2004. It's not like games just come out with no prior knowledge of them. A game can be announced, and someone can say "Oh hey, I like that...let's do that!" And make a clone. Have you ever heard of Gameloft? They do this with all of their games. Take something that's in concept, and clone it.

I'm trying to let people who have no idea about the game know that it's very clear Okami draws heavily from Zelda. I simply wondered...how heavily? This isn't even new information, it's been discussed since both games were released. Sorry I committed a crime here, by asking questions and trying to discuss something. In my original post, I even indicated that it could be complete coincidence. But like you usually do, you stuck onto one small point, assumed I was an idiot, and tried to be confrontational.

Okami is a Zelda clone. There's no doubt about that. Just like Darksiders is a Zelda clone. I was simply wondering if anyone had any info on Clover Studios taking an idea from a game that was already in production.

PS+ Members are gonna get 30% off the new Portal 2 Move-enabled DLC (full price is $9.99), and 30% off Portal 2 when it becomes available on PSN next Tuesday. All of Portal 2 is also being patched to include Move controls.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012...sn-tuesday-full-game-getting-ps-move-support/

I actually didn't even know they were working on something like this, otherwise I probably wouldn't have sold my copy of Portal 2 on PS3 and re-bought it on Xbox. Too bad the Move-enabled DLC isn't standalone...

Trust me, I didn't assume anything: you just compared Gameloft making iOS games to full length console games. Look how defensive you got.

Oh wait, is this you being "sarcastic" again?
You want us to be aware just incase me might buy it or not?
Well that's what I was trying to do...and just ask a question. Apparently that's not allowed.

But like I said...if anyone hasn't played Okami and is on the fence about it. If you like Zelda, you'll like this game. Also, if you don't like Zelda...this game out-Zeldas most Zelda games. I think this game does a lot of things right that Zelda games could do better. I like the concept of drawing with the brush a lot more than constantly switching items in your inventory.

Sometimes I wonder why you find the need to be such a DB? All I was trying to do was ask a question. Just because you don't know the answer, doesn't mean you have to chime in with an idiotic post about games not being made in a couple months. You could just...not say anything? I guess it would be hard to not boost your ego and try to correct everyone. Gotta make yourself feel special somehow. And do yourself a little research. Gameloft makes console games too, buddy. And most of them are rip offs.

News flash, Okami is a great game and those who missed out on it should definitely check it out as the HD port is done elegantly without issue.
The answer is no, they did not rip each other off.

Hey, stop being a douchebag, he was just asking a question.
What kind of answer you want me to give him then? I can't hardly find any article online that details the what segments did they rip each other off. They are troll post and for some reason this thread comes up as the third one when I search for "did okami rip off twilight princess"

Eh, you're not a douchebag. You actually answered a question, without the need to talk down to someone. A rarity in this thread lately.

Back to PSN...what are the plans for your $20 credits? Since I spent $100 on most of the stuff I actually wanted, and the $20 expires after 30 days, I think I'll pick R&C: FFA.

The $20 expires after a month? Hmm, maybe if Jet Set Radio ever gets released for Vita (unless SEGA and Sony are going to give it away to launch the new PS+ for Vita :D), I'll pick that up. I have plenty of options since I went with 1 year of PS+, Okami HD, and Sports Champions 2 to get over $100.

They announced it at E3, which is why you may have seen Portal 2 in some of the sizzle reels, and they also said they were looking into adding it for the whole game during the show.

There are two conflicting reports on that page. Morgan says it will be there as long as you redeem the voucher within 30 days. Then Kristine says the free money expires. Just to be safe, I'll use it on R&C and not risk it. Maybe Frisky will know more.
The last money back offer they did had an expiration date for when you could no longer redeem it, so don't procrastinate like some of you already do for normal sales.

Money in your wallet never expires as far as I know.
