So true. You know a game is a turd when you won't even bother to download it for free.I'm in the same boat as you with SR2. I was also one of the suckers Sony screwed over on the Just Cause 2 sale they posted just prior to offering it up free. I love being bent over like that..lol.
You're a fuckin idiot.
You mind elaborating on that derogatory comment? You must be 12 years old.
Nah, your posts do that for me.
I did, since I got a good price.
So you just ripped the hell out of PS+, but you subscribed anyway? I don't always agree with gettinmoney, but I'm gonna let him speak for me on this one. :)
You're a fuckin idiot.
And sorry for feeding you mix_master, I've seen you around a lot so did not expect you to be trolling.
I think I'm interpreting Morgan's comment a little bit differently. I tried typing it out 3 different ways but couldn't explain it right, so I gave up.

I will say that I'd be very surprised if they switch out more than 4 games for July. But there's no way of knowing at the moment, and am excited to see what happens.
Four games would be one of the smallest months that PS+ has ever had, so I would hope that they're not cheaping out like that.

Four games is about right. I wouldn't really count Minis and PS1 Classics as full games, but even so, hasn't Plus generally been 1 PSN game, 1 PS1 game, and 2 Minis?

Ooo, I'm makin a mod work tonight.

My guess is that their going quality over quantity, maybe giving us 3-4 big time games per month. And I think Minis and PSOne Classics are a thing of the past for PS+.

That'd be sad. I like the PSOne Classics.

Though some PS2 Classics would be pretty cool, too.

Persona 3, perhaps?

Although it got buried with the news of all the big games, they did release a free mini for PS+ this past Tuesday (Kaleidoscope), so hopefully we'll continue to get them.

I'm gonna miss the PS1 games too if they no longer are going to be given away with PS+...

Minis I could do without, though. I've yet to play a Mini that I didn't find to be a total waste of time. :|

Generally, if I want to play that kind of game I'll do it on my phone.

Though I did enjoy Monsters Probably Stole My Princess. Mainly for the style.

Out of the whole time that I've been subscribed to PS+ (since they introduced it at E3 back in 2010), I liked Age of Zombies. Nothing special really when it came to gameplay, but the comedy was enjoyable enough for the brief time that I played it.

Holy Balls! A Zombie T-Rex! That's so badass I think I just crapped my pants.

someone mentioned it on the very first page but you never changed your incorrect information in your post specifically

Q: How many times am I allowed to redownload content that I've purchased?
A: Any games you've purchased can be downloaded as much as you want on up to five systems at once, so you can delete games whenever you need room and redownload them when you need them again easily. Videos are a bit different in that your ownership of them expires once you download an item from the video store and delete it, though you're free to back-up that video to your PSP and then to your PC via Media Go.
specifically it USED to be 5 and that content that you purchased back then still can be used on up to 5 ps3s however that changed to 3 and much more recently 2. You cant install anything you buy now on more than 2 ps3's and that has been the case for a couple months now...

I agree 100%. I only tried a handful of the minis after Age of Zombies and never for more than an hour. They didnt save the best for last.

I would much rather have more full PSN games and little to no minis and PS1 games. I still cant beleive anyone actually plays low res polygonal messes that are PS1 games anymore. I tried several times and I just cant...makes my eyes bleed.
It's okay, but nothing amazing that you'd really be kicking yourself for not getting.
Really?

If anyone else says the same about Fate/Unlimited Codes, then I guess my 10 bucks will be saved for some other digital game.

Did the expiration scenario happened to any other game?

Nostalgia is a powerful thing... especially for the children who weren't old enough to remember NES or SNES.

it depends on the game for example FF tactics, tomba or castlvania SotN are all fine with me (sprites ftw)

I know that I am in the minority here, but as a vita owner I'd rather get the minis. Velocity is outstanding and looking over the list of other free minis there was some good stuff there. The size of those retail downloads some of which are over 10 gigs really reduces the likelihood I will download all of them. I also would prefer more discounts than free games, because with the discounts I can walk away and keep my games.

Except that we still get Minis. There are three currently available for PS+ at the moment.

I don't get the hate on Minis, as we've gotten a decent amount of good Minis over the past 15 months that I've had PS+.

Looking at my list:

Floating Cloud God Saves the Pilgrims
Velocity
Canabalt
MechoWars
Doodle Fit
Where is my Heart?
Jelly Pops
OMG-Z
Dr. Maybee and the Scarygirl
The 2D Adventures of Rotating Octopus Character
VectorTD
A Space Shooter for 2 Bucks
Pix'N Love Rush
I thought they said FFVII would be free at E3? Or were they just saying it was going to be coming out on PSN?
Thought they said it'll work on the Vita, though I don't remember exactly.

Not hating minis at all. Obviously different people like different things. I dont play games on the go so that might be one reason I dont care much for them and others do?

I still play Ps1 games, Digimon world, Mega man Legends, resident evil, monster rancher, Jet moto, etc.
They're still fun and they still look good.

I've played most of them on PS3, so they work well there.

I think you mean Zen Pinball, tyler. ;)

they work on the PS3 but the primary intended audience for the Minis is PSP owners, hence why they are called PSP Minis. They are short and perfect for quick on the go gaming that lasts a few minutes, not an hour or more. PS1 games look awful blown up on an HDTV through a PS3 but again this is a case where its best use will be on a handheld.

Haha I sure do. Fixed, thank you.

Also, this PS Blog post said that Zen Pinball 2 (the hub that will house all the Zen Pinball games) would release in conjunction with the new Marvel pack, so maybe that will be coming as well. I have heard rumbling that Zen Pinball 2 has been delayed, but can't seem to find any concrete info on it.

They stopped calling them PSP Minis once they became playable on the PS3 and the Vita continues with that name. They're just Minis now.

Its been on the PSN for years
I thought they said FFVII would be free at E3? I'd really like to play Tomba on the go, so hopefully we'll hear a date of some sort as to when this'll be patched in.

I just got PS+ and it's great. I downloaded LBP2, Infamous 2 and Racket and Clank. My son is loving LBP2 and Racket and Clank. I should have jumped on PS+ sooner.

Does anyone know if today is the last day to sign up for ps+ and get the game collection? Or will it still be there Tuesday when ps store updates?

Thanks. I just Google'd it and couldn't find anything. I guess I could have been a little less lazy and checked their twitter.

They'll still be there. There is a section on the PS Store under PS+ that says "Last Chance", there you can find a list of everything that is coming down tomorrow. Alternatively, Frisky sometimes posts it, so it may be back a few pages in the thread.

There's no need for that since I update the OP with known expiration dates for PS+ stuff. If there's no date for it, it's not expiring for at least another week.

So I downloaded Hard Corps Uprising because of PS+, love it so far! Sorry if this has been asked before, but has the DLC Characters been on sale yet? Does anyone have them, and are they worth the current price? (2.99 I believe)
By the way, for PS+ people that have a bunch of new games to play, you should check out the DLC to grab the freebies that some of them offer.

Choplifter HD - Zombie! Zombie! Zombie! Level Pack - Free
Just Cause 2 - Chaos Parachute - Free
Just Cause 2 - Tuk Tuk Boom Boom - Free
Just Cause 2 - Chevalier Ice Breaker - Free
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light - Character Pack 1 - Free
LittleBigPlanet - Community Costume Winner - Free
LittleBigPlanet - Kabuki Actor Costume - Free
LittleBigPlanet - Sack-Eating Plant Costume - Free
LittleBigPlanet - Sack in the Box Costume - Free
Saints Row 2 - The Unkut Pack - Free

And if you were proactive before, there were numerous free holiday costumes for LBP 1 and 2 that you may have in your download history to redownload. The second challenge pack for Lara Croft was also free at launch, so if you thought ahead, you should download it to go with your game.
Dang it! I'm going to mess around and forget! Let me do this, now!!

Little Big Planet PSP Sack Circus Extravaganza Costume(1.5 MB Required) - Free

Not sure if it's for PS+ or what. Stumbled upon it looking up these add ons

They were on sale when Hard Corps was on sale awhile ago. I bought two of them but have yet to play the game. One of them supposedly makes the game a little easier, I think it's Leviathan.

I had gotten the dlc for Sayuri the Samurai Lady. In my opinion she becomes pretty overpowered once you get the invisibility when jumping, especially against 1 of the bosses. Although that fact, she made the game really fun. I haven't tried the other two guys yet.

Oops, my bad, this is who I meant.

Ok so I upgraded my hard drive today. Not a problem at except for the fact 3 out of 4 screws stripped on me. It was really ridiculous but I got it to work. So I learned a few things about HDs today. First, a 500 GB is actually 465 GB based on some thing where the manufacturer rates a GB as 1000000000 bytes but in reality the device reads it as 1073741824 bytes so it is actually less. I also learned that the PS3 reserves quit a bit of space on a larger drive (not sure if it is a straight % or what the calculation is) so that my free space on an empty drive is 413GB. It was a little eye opening for sure. I know on my 60GB drive I had like 55GB/47GB free. Seems silly the PS has to reserve so much space but maybe there is no good way to mathematically do this so a "%" is used instead.

Yuppers. To word it in a way that's a bit easier to understand, manufacturers tend to use base 10 notation instead of base 2 notation in their advertisements (since it makes the number you see on a product page higher than it actually is). 1 kilobyte in base 10 = 1,000 bytes, whereas 1 kilobyte in base 2 = 1,024 bytes.. so the advertised base 10 number is actually 2.4% higher than the size in base 2 (the size that all your files/capacities are shown in).

So 1 TB in base 10 = about 976.5 GB in base 2 if I did my math correctly. Then you take away some space that the OS needs for its files, and there you go.
