Thought I'd bump this since it's Tuesday.

Anybody thinking about getting Dyad? It got pretty good reviews and it does have a Platinum, but $12 (PS+) is still too rich for my blood.
~ $7 might have been an instabuy for me (just alone for the commercial, lol), but yeah, not sure I'll bite for 12. Wish it had a demo.

Picked up Persona 3. I'm loving every bit of it. 15 hours in already.

I usually drop games so quickly these days. I'll definitely end up trying the other Persona games when I'm done with this one.

Hmmm....nothing for me this week, I'll grab the 2 freebies and then dig into my backlog.

Also no demo for Dyad, Morgan had mentioned in the comments he thought there would be one, but I guess not. I haven't checked the store to confirm that there isn't one, but I think Sony/developers are really overlooking the importance of day 1 demos, especially when they're running day 1 discounts as well.

I think I like the idea of having digital Vita titles for stuff I just play on a whim (daily tourneys in hsg, pickup games in umvc3). Much to my own surprise, I'm trading in physical copies just for the convenience of digital for those kinds of games when the price is right. Anything that's more story driven / single player is a different story.

Also, looks like mvc2 on psn is $5 this week if you've missed one of the other bajillion sales.

Edit: Feels like the first time I've seen Virtua Tennis 4 (vita) on sale in any form. Been wanting to get it since playing the demo, but don't want to spend $20 on digital unless I know I'll yutz with it regularly.

Nothing for me this week, but it's nice to finally see some Vita sales.

I hope Escape Plan goes on sale soon. I bought the DLC for a quarter when it went on sale now just waiting to buy the game...
I think my $20 HSG for Vita is unopened. Hmm.....but if I don't like it can't trade it.....Hmmm.....
Demo?
Find it used at GS and test it out and return it within 7 days.
Youtube?
Other HSG games?

Many ways to figure out of it's for you.

Just got a email saying I was accepted into the littlebigplanet karting beta. Check your emails if you signed up for it. Looks like the beta is live, haven't had a chance to sign into psn and try it yet.

I grabbed HSG at Walmart for $20+tax and thought that was a steal, if I didn't already have it I would be all over this.

I did snag Hustle Kings, played the demo and liked it, just not 10$ liked. Worth it at under 5$ though. Tempted by Virtua Tennis 4, love tennis games on portables.

I hope this is the start of Vita sales, would love to see a Super Stardust Delta and Escape Plan soon!

Went ahead an got Fight Night Champion for 14.69 or whatever after Plus discount. I love all the fight Nights, and never played this one. I got rid of my 360, so I don't currently have any Fight Nights. How does Champion stack up? Always thought the story mode sounded interesting.

It went live a week ago. Played it off and on the past week. It's enjoyable and just be aware it is 3.5 gig download for it. So looks like they are going to send out new invites each week. Hope you like it as well.

If you couldn't play the Escape Plan demo before, it's back up in the store now, as they fixed it.

I'm going to take a guess that a Dyad demo will be coming in a few weeks like Rainbow Moon, as both are unlock key games.

Damn 3.5 gb, guess I should start DLing it now.

Vita PSN sales. Awesome. Still not the best deals, but as a plus member I will bite on all three offerings. Hope this is the start of more to come.
Any of you cheap bastards have any experience with Jikandia or Fate/Extra? :D
I didn't like either game. Jikandia is a poor platformer and Fate/Extra takes itself too seriously. A lot of wankery text that tries to be too hard to be poetic. The battle system was kind of interesting in the beginning (it's rock-scissors-paper) but they go on for too long.

It's really fun. It's alot more fast paced than previous FN's and tbh this ones my favorite. I never played the story mode but i watched my friend try to beat the last boxer but like all fighting games the last boss has to be a beeotch. So prepare for alot of cursing and rage quits lol.

Still debating on Catherine for $19.99 thanks to the Atlus sale. Though I wonder if the physical copy is going to hit that price soon enough?

Also has anyone had any experience with downloading Persona 3 off PSN and playing it on the PS3? I'm tempted, but I heard there were some issue with saving the game and that its been known to delete save files.

wow 4.99 for MvC2?! I already have it, but remember when i got it for like 79.99 used at gamestop a decade ago. insane world. this is an example of digital being great for customers.

Darn. Have $15 playstation funbucks I want to spend on PSP or PSone RPG's. Maybe Chrono Cross and Valhalla Knights 2. Thing is I still have my Chrono Cross disk. Maybe I should finally pick up FF8 the only one I've never played.

Lol @ all the idiots that bitched and sold their Vitas cause Sony didnt have any sales for their DD versions of Vita games, hopefully this is just the start with more to come.

At least no one's complaining about Sony forgetting about the Vita, but I guess there's always next week.

IATCG, how much money do you have in your PSN wallet?

Lol at anyone whining about the Vita's library. I guess they dont realize that almost every console doesnt immediately start out with hundreds of games.

The Vita probably had the launch titles for any handheld I have seen. I couldnt care less about DD sales (Except for download only games), i want the physical copies.
What are people's thoughts on dyad? Is it worth $12?
My thoughts are that it badly needs a demo. I've watched video of the gameplay and I have no fucking clue what's going on.

^This. A hundred times, this. It's got the most confusing gameplay video I've ever seen.

Virtua tennis is a fantastic game. One of the most underrated vita games. I paid 40 bux for it off the store last week and it is worth every penny. I'm not sure why it doesn't get talked about more. It's a steal for this price.

Virtua Tennis 4 is SO GOOD.

The World Tour mode, online play, and varied mini games are all extremely well done.
Plus it may be the best looking game on Vita.

Sold. Buying now. Thanks for finding a use for my PSN wallet this week :)

Just played DYAD and is awesome and very unique! Though there definitely needs to be a demo. I couldnt begin to figure out how to explain this game to somebody. They need to play it themselves.

I bought all 3 on sale on Vita. I was really hoping for a sale on HSG and VT4 (my two favorite Vita games). I put my Physical copies up on Ebay. Hopefully they sell. I'm glad to have the added portability. No complaints from this Vita owner:D
anyone know if for persona 3 (or any other ps2 classic) if you can use your ps2 memory card?
Someone posted this info over on GameFAQs:
the PSN persona 3 game, like all PSN PS2 classics, doesn't use the virtual memory card. it uses it's own save that is found in the same column on the XMB. Just look for PS2 save data, it's there. If you want details about the problem, check my other post on this board.

Just a heads up, it looks like a lot of people are having graphical issues with flickering with the PSN version.

I got an LBP Kart beta invite today as well, downloading as we speak. I picked up the 5 hero pack for Lego Batman 2 today, and I'm debating getting Dyad. From the comments, it sounds like I should look at Virtua Tennis 4 for my Vita, so I may get that.

Just got an email about Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 coming to PSN:
Tonight, NIS America is proud to announce that Hyperdimension Neptunia™mk2 will be available for purchase on PSN from August 7th! The European version will be available on EU PSN the following day on August 8th.
All I can think about is the posts about how Sony has given up on the Vita because of the lack of sales.

Now what will they complain about?
Just wait til next week.

Yeah, I agree. I watched the Quick Look on Giantbomb today and was still confused. I just decided to take the plunge and pay the $12 for it - played a bit, it's definitely fun and unique. You really start to get "in the zone" on some of the harder levels.

It's hard to explain because the objectives change for each level. Sometimes you're trying to grab (or "hook") enemies in pairs to build speed/stay alive/fulfill an objective, stab through (or "lance") enemies, gliding on ziplines, dodging enemies, or some combination of the above - all while being assaulted with visual and auditory stimuli.

wouldn't be my first choice but nice to see NISA finally putting up games digitally

hopefully more come soon
