Jeez, can't believe that TWD S2 and Wolf Among Us still aren't out on Vita yet. Though at this point I'll probably just get them on PS4 and remote play (unless the Season 1 choices carry over in some way). Guess I'll have to wait for next Halloween to pick them up for $5.
 
Has anyone who's preordered gotten a code for the alpha test? The website makes it sound like you're guaranteed a spot if you preorder but you get put into a drawing if you use the code from the blog post. I preordered online from Best Buy but haven't seen an email or anything about the alpha from them yet.

Sony gave me a refund on my Driveclub refund, said it will take 3-5 days to process.  The multiplayer servers have been down since launch, 4 days now, that is pretty damn bad.  So if you are unhappy with the state of your Driveclub you can try calling in.

I called the 800 number, 855-999-SONY (7669)  and it took about 10 minutes total without any hassle.

Now I'm not sure if I'll get the $15 / $100 credit thing though, I've been burned both times I've preordered digitally on PSN - the whole Destiny PS3/PS4 snafu and now Driveclub being a real dog.

I've heard only amazing things about Driveclub from my friends, barring the obvious server issue they're having. Once that gets sorted out though, the game is right up my alley. Though I need to finish Shadow of Mordor first.

 
12.99 seems like a lot of money for Peggle 2.

I want it but I don't 12.99 want it. Maybe 2.99?

It's not out yet. Probably not until next Tuesday's update. They were experiencing server issues, so they decided to address that first for the ones who had already paid for the full retail version before releasing the PSN Plus version to the public. Shame really!

 
Driveclub multiplayer hasn't worked at all since launch, so they didn't want to add a couple million free PS+ users to make it worse.  Who knows when PS+ will get it now, maybe tuesday or maybe days later.  Unfortunately a lot of single player stuff is tied to online, like time trials not working well or not being able to change certain car customizations.

Definitely try the PS+ version before you buy, I preordered and didn't find the game very good, lucky for me all the server problems meant that Sony refunded me no problem.  Got a 48 hour demo basically.  If it goes on sale for $20-30 I may buy the full thing, but the free version (whenever it goes live) will be enough for me.

I haven't played vib-ribbon, but according to the press blurb, the ps3 version does work with audio CDs. And the ps3 should read a burned audio CD as an audio CD. So you should be good.

FTFY. That's how much I paid for the first one. I expect to pay the same for this one (on PC). Played a lot of the first one, everyone here is saying that the sequel is pretty good too. I'm tempted to buy, but not at that price.

We can get Solitaire a million ways to Sunday for free everywhere online or our phones.

I would hope that they would at least include Solitaire as a free game with the download of the platform to encourage us to try it.

Both Zen Pinball and Pinball Arcade give some free gameplay, right?

nah Destiny took 24 hours or so for people who pre-ordered the PS3 version to be able to install and play the PS4 version. While anyone who bought it after midnight was able to play right away. Preorders on PSN are just bad all around, especially when dealing with stuff like cross buy, promotions, discounts, etc.

oh you were right thought about preorder DLCs, a lot of people had problems redeeming that too (they were all crap things anyways) and had to reset licenses to get it to work.

I was on the phone asking questions about the PS Protection Plan last night and the CS guy was complaining on how the computer system works with the PS Store. Short version: It's cluster fuck .

my guess is at least a couple games are free. anything else would be stupid. but you never know.

I did end up buying the game, and it does work with burned CDs. Pretty cool game.

Does it actually work, like the levels generated are coherent? I read that using burned CDs make for crap level generation. I kind of want to buy this game, but it only includes six songs, the control combinations are a pain to remember, and I think the screen shakes sometimes. Why would it do that? Sounds annoying.

Any song could make for a bad level depending on many aspects of it that are used for generation of the notes. It's also a game that was made to fit in the PS1's RAM so it could run without the disc. The combinations seem like the hardest thing to nail down so you can get better at it, but that's part of the challenge to get better much like a lot of the more challenging parts of Rock Band/Guitar Hero's charting for higher difficulties.

Based on the two custom tracks I tried, the levels were alright. Each one had its own theme, I guess you could say: each level tended to choose and use its own set of button combinations, rather than just using a random assortment of all possible combinations.

With custom songs, I never got the feeling of "wow, this level layout matches up with the beat of the music really well", but then again, I never got that feeling with Audiosurf, either. Audiosurf seemed to match up even less, imo. Maybe it all depends on the type of music you listen to; if your songs have a lot of different instruments going on at once, my guess is that the levels would make less sense than in an a capella track. The first track of Vib-Ribbon's OST is very minimalistic, and the level seems to match up with the beat very well in that case.

 
I wish Pinball Arcade would do a Cyclone table. I know they did a vote to see what table they'd do a while back and Cyclone didn't do well in the vote, but it's probably one of my wife's favorite tables that she used to play on.
