Dungeon Defenders 2 is great news.  I loved the first one, but the trophies were screwed up when playing two player local co-op. 

 
Of all the trailers from last night, Adrift has me the most excited. Everything else was very same-y.

Pretty nice selection of games on sale this week. The only thing I'm sure I'll snag is Age of Zombies though. I feel like the other games I'm interested in will go on sale again for less soon enough: Raiden IV (super tempted since I love shmups so much but I feel this is a $5 sale game soon - possible as soon as a New Year's sale?), Sword Art Online (I almost never spend more than $20 on digital content but I'm really itching to snag this one since it's digital only but I think there's a reasonable chance it'll go on sale for less), Table Top Racing (almost assuredly will get discounted more down the road), and Dustforce which feels like an eventual PS+ freebie. Lastly, Doodle God/Devil worth a play?

Really enjoyed Titan Attacks. I love Space Invaders and this is a pretty nice clone. Made it all the way up to the Titan levels on my first play. Too bad it doesn't have separate trophy lists for each platform.

I love when people are like, "This game will be $5 soon". What makes you think that? This is the first time it's ever been discounted as far as I know. Didn't it just come out in April?

Everything on PSN eventually goes for $3.75. Then two months later is PS+.

Just an educated guess based on past trends. Will we see that drop? Who knows for sure, but there's no harm in speculating that it will. Everyone has their buy price, for me $5 is really where I wanted to be for yet another copy of Raiden. To me, it should have been a $10 download in the first place, so now that it has dropped to that temporarily I'm not sure I want to buy. Buying games is a lot like buying stock, the price may be at a historical low now but that doesn't mean it won't drop even lower in the future when I feel it is a good investment.

 
I have the Doodle God/Doodle Devil games on smartphone. They're not much of a game. Choose 2 different element hopefully get a third till you go to higher civilization level and eventually beat the game. They're alright for some mindless fun but it's not amazing.

I agree, I seriously doubt Raiden IV: Overkill will go on sale any less, anytime soon. It's been out a while, and being a huge shmup fan I almost bought it at full price, to try to encourage more of these types of games on PSN. $9.99 is a steal for this game, was an insta-buy for me (even though I already own Raiden IV on 360).

Final Fantasy VII is coming to PS4 this spring. The classic, not a remake. It's the port of the PC version and is exclusive to PS4.

They seem to be doing that randomly staggered roll out that the PSN store always does. People I linked them to are still showing them as paid even though I just got them for free.

Is there a list somewhere of PS+ games that have cross-buy games that are free forever if you got the PS+ version? I know Frisky has mentioned a few games specifically as we became aware that it was going to happen, but a regularly updated list would be awesome.

Resogun is going to be such a game, right?

I'm sure there's some licensing issue or something preventing it just like it's preventing a number of notable games from being usable on the Vita (unless you were lucky enough to have downloaded them during the brief period they enabled all of them by accident).

Sony's "It's available right now!" announcements are always never actually available right at that moment. Entwined took a bit to actually be available for purchase after the press conference.

It would just be a version of the PS+ History list in the OP highlighting which titles are Cross Buy with later ports. I'll see what I can put together.

 
Damn. Just when I thought I was on the up and up. fucking Mirror's Edge is FREE now AND not tied to a subscription. Just bought it during that good flash sale for the hell of it and after hunting down a used 360 copy for around $20 early this year. Man for years it never went on sale (for consoles), but now it's freaking free. Haha me. I'll know from now on about EA stuff/ME2.

 
The most recent PS4 update seems to have added some nice things, unless I missed these appearing in a different update. The PS4 can now run an app and a game at the same time, as I went to close a game I was playing and the app I was using prior to that showed up on that same "Close Application" screen. They also list on the information screen for a game (Options > Information) the voice command phrase for that game's title, though it should list all forms of the name that can work. I still can't get PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate to be recognized in any form via voice commands.

 
Thanks for the heads up on Plants vs Zombies. I had been waiting for another digital sale to finally pick it up, and I'd say this qualifies.

Hopefully this is some kind of sign that Sony and EA are going to find a way to work together in lieu of a full on EA Access offering.

So I have the disc version of PvZ:GW, can I just use the disc install without having to download the game?

Asking the question because I don't have access to my PS4 at the moment.

You could just "purchase" the game through the psn website, I did it right through my i device.

This. I finally played Overkill after buying during this sale a few days ago, and I love it. PSN hasn't gotten anywhere near the number of vertical shmups that the 360 got last gen, so this is a must-buy. The added Overkill mode is the icing on the cake.

 
How long does it take Sony Rewards to credit your account after you buy a game on the PSN? I'm just talking about the 1 point = $1 automatic one. I haven't gotten my credit for Rayman Legends PS Vita yet, and I bought that a week ago.
