So this Resogun season pass is slightly weird. I bought it yesterday and it said "download to your PS4" so I clicked that. But now it has gone poof. You can't redownload it. However I just found that if I got to the Heroes DLC pack it says FREE, so I guess it worked unless that is just a demo or something.
It doesn't contain the DLC, just makes it free, so grab it from the PS Store and start downloading it.

I had to redo the licenses or some shit to get mine to work. I didnt even know I could do that till like 8 hours after I bought it.
Do you have a direct link to the web store version of the season pass? All I could find was the base game and heroes this morning. I'll throw them 8 bucks for making a kickass game the first ps4 freebie.

"redo the license"? How do you do that?

I just "purchased" the free Heroes pack, but when I clicked to then download it to my PS4 it got stuck. I reloaded and now it shows up in my download list but there is no option to download it and it doesn't show it as being playable on anything. The store is mucked up right now. Will try again later.

I dont. Can't get the store to work right now.

It was in the settings tab on the PS4 XMB. Mine did the same thing, no way to redownload or reinstall and the store wouldn't do the "download to my ps4" thing. It kept showing in game and on the store it was purchased, but the game modes were blacked out.

man, no way i can catch up on the 20 or so pages I missed.

-picking up resogun season pass tonight, because it's the game that singlehandedly justified my day 1 ps4 purchase and I like supporting housemarque because they serve me big heaping spoonfuls of (usually) dual stick shooting goodness.

-i am actually really enjoying sorcery saga.  glad i bought it.

-i only played the muramasa i bought last sale for about 30 minutes and was bored silly.   now it's free.  i knew i should have resisted.

-i really want castlestorm, olli olli, and some others... but my stash of psn credit from all the deals towards the end of last year is almost gone.  I guess i can resist.  it's not like i don't have games to play waiting for a better sale.

-looking at the steam sale today, saw banner saga... googled and found out it has a decent chance of coming to ps3 or vita.   very exciting, because i'll actually play it on my vita, whereas if i dropped $12 on it on steam it would just be backlogged till the vita version came out anyway and i'd end up double dipping.  i know some people complain that indies on vita are already on pc, but hot damn am  i glad they come to vita.  i'll even pay the new release tax for the best of them.

Short of breaking cross-buy, I don't see how it's possible.  Maybe they will upload a new Doki Dori Vita only file to PSN.

I enjoy this particular ps blog comment:

I agree with this man! Sony should definitely give us compensation on the order of 10% of the cost of PS+ for every game we already own that they put up for free. that would take some of the sting out of the pissslap!
I know this is a joke, but this is a public perception issue that both Sony and Microsoft may potentially see get worse over the coming years if they don't make changes. As more and more "free" games are given to consumers, will consumers start resenting seeing games they purchased become free? Will consumers stop making purchases (or make fewer purchases) because they expect things to become free? There are simple economic principles at work that may become problematic for the industry (and eventually become a problem for consumers because of the health of the industry). I know it has already affected my purchasing decisions. For example, I was on the fence about Towerfall but decided to wait since it might become free (that's one example of many). There are plenty of comments in this thread with people contemplating similar purchase decisions. I'm not saying Sony or Microsoft owe anything to consumers, but I wonder how far ahead they have planned these programs and what the long term affect will be.

I know a bunch of people will jump on this comment as being stupid since the games are free, game values go down over time, and there are wide selections of games so no one should ever have all of them. Those are valid, rational points, but to the general public, valid and rational thinking is not always readily apparent.

ummm.... i just logged into the PSN webstore and was going through the weekly deals and noticed it has EVERY single Destiny of Spirits DLC (orbs, f2p game) marked as 'purchased'.    I definitely never, ever bought these.   I also don't remember seeing my account charged for them (need to double check) and I definitely wasn't charged recently as my credit is correct.

Are they showing as purchased for anyone else?  Bug? Glitch?

EDIT -- ok, going into it from my vita, there's no 'buy' button or 'download' button.  so... is it glitched?  perhaps temporarily off the store and then glitching on the webstore saying 'purchased'?

Can someone else see what it looks like on their webstore/vita?   (i have the main game on my vita, if that matters)

Cool bug for anyone that played the beta? You all get everything for free when it releases? Or is this not THAT Destiny?

Yep, never purchased them but they show purchased. Noticed it yesterday but it wasn't a big deal for me as I've not played that game. Not sure why though.

PS+ has been around for four years now, so is there any evidence that this is actually happening? Granted it didn't really kick into gear until two years ago, but I haven't seen much evidence of it being a detriment since the sales are another big part of the service.

no, this is for the Vita F2p game. It's a ios style turn based combat game. It's... alright? I know some get very addicted to it and say it's great, it didn't suck me in though.

And yet the EU blog says about Doki-Doki:

"What’s more, it’s Cross Play so you can enjoy this one on PS3, PS4 or PS Vita."

Really weird. I think Paul Sullivan (the US guy) is wrong/misinformed.

So, apparently I forgot to cancel my free trial and I "missed" a charge. Does that mean I won't get my PS+ games back if I renew or what? Or can I renew whenever and have the "free" games I got when I had PS+ back?

This is a good point and one would assume Sony would be monitoring the downside of a program they implement (although it wouldn't shock me if they haven't taken every facet into account). Microsoft and now other companies like EA have joined in more recently, so it will be interesting to see if it has more of an affect in the coming future as more free stuff becomes more prolific. I have seen a couple of interviews with some developers that indicate the free games from programs like Plus are problematic for them, but who knows how accurate their conclusions are and what that is based on since the remarks seemed off the cuff.

As soon as you renew, you will have access to the games you had before.

hmm. someone on my friends list is playing another world ps4.
Released for Europe, 163mb.

Thanks for this. I have just under $10 worth of points saved up, although I might be over now that I grabbed a few games yesterday.
Thanks, finally have enough for the $5 psn credit and its sold out?? Never understood how digital codes can be "sold out".
No problem guys, just passing it along.

They run out of codes.
You mean they can't just break some $10 codes in half??? Seems like they are sold out of the $5 codes more often than they have them available.

Would be sweet if I could log in to my Sony Rewards account. I'll have to save it for later I guess...
Yeah it was giving me shit too. Facebook login worked first time.

so who does sony buy them from?
Count me in as not really understanding how this works. Could they not just generate more codes? I'm guessing it's either more complicated than that, or they have a problem with people still swindling them and cashing out $5 codes all the time so they don't wanna put up a large number of them.

exactly, I'm thinking the latter.

This is weird and confusing. He makes it sound like there's a special ps+ version being released that's not cross buy.

I kind of doubt that the people running Sony Rewards have magical "generate more codes" buttons to push. It seems more likely that they talk to the people that generate those sorts of codes about getting X amount more, feed those codes into their database to go out to those that order them, and when they run out, they go talk to the code people about getting some more. It's not like they're a business trying to make money off of these codes, so they're probably not that concerned with making sure there is plentiful amounts of stock of everything they offer at all times.

Generating more doesn't seem like much of a stretch to me. I can generate as many barcode numbers as I want at my job with the click of a button. I know it's totally different software, but it definitely seems possible.

I just blazed through part of this thread - I didn't even realize there was a new thread until today and now this one is 22 pages long...

But I saw some discussion about whether or not people will stop buying stuff because of the PS+ freebies. I know that I was really tempted to buy Doki-Doki when it first came out since I was starving for some PS4 content at the time. But I held off thinking that was a prime candidate for PS+ and here we go not 6 months later.

I have a balance in my PSN account and a few more cards to redeem. I'm not sure if at this point I'll ever use that money as I keep getting more and more stuff via PS+ that I'll never get around to playing anyway. There's definitely no need to buy even more stuff. I suppose that credit can sit there until I need to purchase PS+ again (though I'm set till like 2017 and I think I have a few more 1-year cards as well).

So, yeah, PS+ has definitely changed my buying habits. After getting "burned" on 5 or 6 games that I bought on sale only to have them be PS+ freebies not long afterwards (and for the most part without me even playing them in the mean time), I've completely stopped buying PSN games.

And it has paid off. I think July is the first month in a while where I don't have at least one of games already.

It is having less of an effect on my retail game purchases but even there I will be more careful in the future, especially with Sony first and second-party stuff. For example, I have a still-sealed Sly Cooper Thieves in Time sitting on my shelf that I actually preordered and paid full-price for (via trade-in credit though). And I just downloaded that for free yesterday. Hopefully at least with the new shorter shelf-life of the PS+ freebies I can sell my physical copy towards the end of the year for a few bucks.

Its pretty obvious to me that Sony sells out of $5 codes because more people buy the smaller amounts and Sony takes its time restocking them because they want/think people will say fuck it and get a $10 code instead.

I agree with you, but some games do deserve to be bought, especially indies. I plunked down on Transistor day 1 and don't regret it.

Yeah I've definitely tried to keep my digital purchases to $5 or less, unless it's something I dont think will be PS+ or I just gotta have it cause I'll play it right away. Makes a huge difference. Also...feel free to share the wealth if you're not gonna buy anything else :)
