Half Minute Hero is actually pretty fantastic. Great concept, well executed. I'd buy again for my vita account if it ever went on sale.

 
This is probably the lowest I've seen this thread. But thanks to all the talk I broke down and bought TxK and Steamworld Dig today.

Since SD isn't cross save what are you guys' thoughts on which platform is better to play on?

also, will guacamelee ever get the ps3 to ps4 upgrade like europe due to microsoft or is microsoft just able to hold it back temporarily?

When I have time to kill I read the other thread. When I just want to see the deals or talk about games I check here. Both threads serve a purpose for me but I like that I can keep up with this thread in a few mins a day.

Still working on my Borderlands 2 plat. Picked up the challenge accepted trophy this morning. Need to get three of four trophies for discovering areas of the game, chuby loot, and terramorphous. Also need to do about 19 more side missions hit 90 or 91 out of 109. And maybe or or two others.

Tried terramorphous once the other day solo and knocked him down to about 75% before running out of ammo on most of my weapons. The pitchfork seemed to work pretty well as did one of the conference calls. A co worker will probably help me with this one though.

 
So yesterday, I put a 500 GB hard drive in my PS3. I saved all of my game saves to the cloud, but Demon's Souls, Dark Souls II, and Assassin's Creed IV couldn't be saved to the cloud. When I hit select all the check box was greyed out for those games. Is there any way to get those saves on my new hard drive?

Those games' saves are copy-protected, so I'm not sure...

That's odd that they won't save to the cloud. But so long as you log in with the same PSN you should be able to transfer the saves with no problem.

It's always annoyed me how saves are locked to PSN accounts. I know they do that for the trophy nonsense but I would happily give up trophies if it meant I could download completed files for certain multiplayer games.

 
Ok, so i'll try to do it one at a time instead. Question....if I take out my new hard drive and put the old one back in, it's not going to have to reformat everything again, is it?

Does  RO ACE go off sale today. Tempted to buy it but have the normal one on cart and dont think its worth an 18 buck update

 
I don't understand people saying it's now easier to keep up with this thread. Keep up with what, exactly? What were you missing before? Place is essentially a ghost town now. I'm not against a separate OT and will find my way there. l enjoy shooting the shit with you guys (minus all the blatant Nintnedo envy). But why has so much of the game-relevant talk been moved? Some of the old regulars keep saying it shouldn't be difficult to follow an additional thread all while refusing to post here. Lol, if I didn't know any better I'd think people wanted this thread to tumble into obscurity.

Whatever, maybe it'll smooth itself out eventually. Still think it was unneccesary. Maybe if CAG didn't appear to only have 2 mods for the entire damn site they wouldn't feel overwhelmed by the occasional mention of mayo. Btw, Duke's is the absolute best. No discussion necessary.

No. It'll work fine, I just did this a few days ago. The only thing to keep in mind is if you have a newer version of the firmware than what is on the old drive, you'll need to have the updated version on a jump drive to install once you pop it back in.

2. are we ever going to get again PS PLUS blog posts every monday? I know that we USA get all games on first day of month, but now we miss the pre-announcement of all incoming sales, which was quite useful imho.

1. I had never heard of the game because I'm a dirty casual. It's a part of this thread's DNA to constantly remind people of their deficiencies. Now that things are split who can say how long this joke will live, though.

2. That's actually a good question and unfortunately I don't have a clue. Wonder if they'll just start dropping sales the day of? Or it could just be that it was skipped due to the holiday weekend.

Completely agree. PS+ requirement puts you on a level playing field with XBOne. IMHO, that was a main differentiator between the two platforms and now Sony has given that up. Without any reason for having to attract more subs (because it is required now), the games they need to offer and the change in PS+ freebies will continue to dwindle.

BTW,

Anyone play blue estate yet? Wondering how the controls are with the DS4... seems like this would be a game better suited for the move.

I haven't played it, but @snakey-bro and a few others mentioned how well it controlled. I was surprised to hear that considering it doesn't use camera tracking which would obviously aid in accuracy.

Controls aside, i was actually amused by how badly the game got trashed in reviews. I'm a huge fan of crass humor but the consensus is that it's sexist and racist. I know you don't believe those things exist, @affa. IGN gave it 3, LOL, which only confirms that @snakey_bro will play anything.

Yes, today is the last day. It's apart of the Summer Sale week 2. I got it last night. I always wanted RO but when RO Ace was announced, I wanted for a sale. Ace basically has the original game with all the DLC quests and new story episodes that follow up where the story left off. You don't need to be in the Dark World for the event. You need to make sure you sign in to PSN before you go in to No Heroes Allowed. I went in to the store, let my Vita sign in to my PSN, then launched No Heroes Allowed. It also seemed like it needed to download the information for the event. I launched and went right to single player, and it wasn't there, backed out to the main menu, went back to single player, and the event was on the normal map. Unfortunately, there isn't any kind of progress bar or notification that it is downloading or accessing event information, it just shows up when you enter the map, and then you get a message about a new event.

You need top 250 for the best rewards in this event, don't think I have a shot at that, especially starting this late.

 
I haven't turned my PS4 on since I beat Infamous.  My Xbox One only gets turned on because I like controlling my TV with my voice.   fuck Kinect on a computer.  It does nothing for me.   Wii U atleast has Mario Kart 8.  Vita is where it's at right now for me.

Kind of off-topic but I want to know if someone wants to buy a dlc code off me since I'm in the US, would it work if he used the code on a UK account if not how would I go about selling it to someone from another region?

Eh, I really can't complain too much, I still have plenty to play on PS3. And yeah, MK8 has been a godsend for WiiU. I never thought I would care half this much about yet another Mario Kart, especially with no real battle mode, but the track design is simply outstanding and the new items really help make it feel fresh all over again. I don't know how they continue to make Mario Kart feel so relevant every single time, but MK8 certainly feels like a high point, even for MK.

Edit: What's going on with my posts? Is my phone screwing up again or is it a CAG issue?

got part 1 dirt cheap when ace was told (like 14 bucks) just dont think its worth another 18 to upgrade to ace. Now if i was able to dump off the first one for 15 someplace i would of

Also would not shock me to see this added to PSN+ by years end

I haven't turned mine on in awhile either. My ps3 got moved to the bedroom to be a Netflix machine since there hasn't been anything on sale of interest in awhile and now that I have a 360 again I tend to go with it.

And I picked up a cheap wii u a couple weeks back. Mario Kart 8 is so much fun. I haven't had fun with MK since the N64 days and MK7 didn't really do much for me. And I never got to play MKDD much. Then there's wind waker HD and Mario 3D World.

So much fun on the wii u and X1 right now.

Ah, I see what you're saying. I guess discs still aren't "region-free" even if the PS3 isn't locked so there will still be that issue of DLC compatibility. If that makes sense.
