In defense of slidecage (not a position I like to be in!), there's a lot of PS+ stuff that I don't pick up. I'm never going to play pinball. Or a PSP remake of Mega Man X. Or a portable fighting game that only has ad hoc multiplayer. Or anything Oddworld. I'm not going to clog my Download List with stuff that won't ever vie for my gaming time.

I've had weird issues in the past when I bought Vita games that were cross buy to PS3 so I always buy the PS3 versions now and haven't had issues since. There have been other cross buy to all three platform games (I think?) so I incorrectly made the assumption this was in the same vein. No great loss as I would have likely snagged the PS4 disc eventually anyway. Just gotta wait for it to hit like $10 and I'm in.

i always grab the vita version because they count 'sales' for whatever the initial system you picked was, and i want to support the vita. you are correct, there were a few 'oddities', especially early on in the cross-buy implementation (especially when a game had a physical release), but i've never been burnt.

 
I am a teensy bit confused about the Don't Starve situation. It's going to be retroactively cross-buy, so that if you own the PS4 version now, when it comes out it will be a free dl for the Vita. In my case, I got the game from PS+. Does that mean the free Vita version will be only free to me while I have PS+, or will I own it entirely?

It should be yours to keep if they didn't do any special to it, as the same thing happened with Marvel/Star Wars Pinball tables that were free for PS+ when Zen Pinball 2 came out.

 
Does ps+ ever have repeats? I missed don't starve the first time around because I didn't realized you could buy ps+ games on the PC. I hope it will go on sale soon because I really want to get it on my vita.

When i said lack of room i mean my cousins moved in with me and i dont really have room to hook up another TV to play a playstation 3 or 4 on. That is why i was not grabbing ps3 and 4 games back then cause i doubt i would ever own the systems. that is what i mean with Lack of room

in 8 years or so when you're 18 and move into your own place, and finally pick up a cheap ps4, you're going to kick the 10 year old slidecage for not being forward thinking -- 'damn that 10 year old slidecage, he pissed all over me'.

There's pretty much 0% chance of any game repeating. People would flip their shit. There might have been a small chance wayyyy back in the early days years ago when ps+ was still the wild west and they were figuring stuff out, but now? Nope. Never gonna happen unless it was part of some sort of promotion for a game and an 'extra' gift (sort of like the vita version of don't starve will be, a delayed ps+ gift).

Yeah I figured this was the case myself. I just got my PS4 and so I figured everything that was already free with PS+ would be fair game and my best bet to buy since they are no way going to be free again.

They did have a few repeats early on, but under the new format I would think that they are much less likely to repeat stuff.

I think they should do a "Best of PS+" around the holidays each year to motivate new people to buy their systems.  They could keep the same game schedule that they always do and just add an extra section with 10-12 games that were previously offered.

I've never all of a sudden been interested in a game that I previously had no interest in. When they announce the PS+ games I check the info on them online to see if they interest me and those are the only ones I get.
 
Just gotta say y'all are sleeping on the dwarf, he's all 'bout those command grabs.  I was in a party with another dwarf and we just kept playing volleyball with a goblin.  Play him right and you'll have a lot of fun.  Only thing the Mayor of Middle Earth is missing is dat Pipe.

Aside from him, I mainly use the Elf, her high mobility gives a lot of options.

The game suffers from some serious framerate problems, even on the PS4. The voice acting is also really bad.

If you can look past that you're left with some medicore combat. Based on what little I've played of the game it appears that you're pretty much making your way through a series of corridors rather than through an open world.

I'd really suggest reading some of the reviews before you decide to pull the trigger.

Transistor is $20 so it's on sale for $15 plus an additional 10% for ps+ members. Child of light is regular price of $15 and is on sale for $11.50 plus 10%off. Not bad

I'm grabbing Transistor and Trials Fusion. I'm thinking about Bound By Flame.


Also thinking about Wolf Among Us. I'm not sure though. I think I've seen it for much cheaper if I'm not mistaken.

It's honestly worth the price. I enjoyed more than Future and a Crack in Time. It's shorter but the graphics and platforming have been revamped. It also doesn't hurt that it comes with Quest For Booty.
