Oh wow this has to be THE worst flash sale of the year. Poor attempt, Sony. Would have been better off just not even doing anything. Another reason why digital will never, or not in the near future, take over physical for things like this, lmfao.

 
I like the flash sale. Picking up madden and shadows of mordor. Yeah, a little cheaper b&m... But not dealing with crowds OR discs(or tax!!) is more than worth it.
 
Not a fan of the sale, but mainly because it's not really things I am interested in. I don't buy a lot of digital stuff unless it's dirt cheap.

Could be good for some folks though.

I would buy Mordor on the PS3, but from what I gather, it's not as good, and I am better off waiting until I get a PS4.

I'll just wait and buy more stuff next week.

That Blitz/NBA Jam bundle keeps tempting me, but I don't think you can play NBA Jam online anymore, can you?

I was hoping they'd revisit the 99 cent older/indie game idea for black friday... The 99 cent flash sale earlier this year was great. But I guess this is pretty much on par with last year's black friday sale.

 
For some reason, I was thinking that the flash sale would be more like the 99 cent sale we saw over the summer.  I still have games on my digital backlog from back then that I'm going to download this weekend.  But, I'm keeping my digital money in my digital pocket after seeing the flash sale, and there's no way I'm going to spend $100 on PSN by Monday.

But the whole joy of NBA Jam is in-person play. Nothing beats screaming and pointing at the person right next to you.

My wife is still angry from when I yelled "THE NAIL IN THE COFFIN !!!!!!" when we we're playing Scrabble....and that was almost 20 years ago. Ah, memories.

I used to play NBA jam with my dad all the time. Actually the whole reason I got the snes was so he could play NBA jam.

I just bought it and I've played it for 2 hrs so far. It's got some charm and it's a fun action and strategy RPG (yes, it is both). I have a hard time remembering what attacks are mapped to what buttons but maybe I need to learn what the various symbols mean.

 
Ok im getting quite annoyed. Is there any way to NOT automatically download patches for games or system updates when you use the friggin ps4? Every time i start a game it tries to d.load gigs of patches for it. Even on something i dont want to patch. I have automatic d.loads disabled but it still constantly tries to patch stuff. Even if i pause and delete it, after minute or two it tries d.loading it again while im playing its quite annoying

it also does this with system updates which i dont like because i like to wait a week or so to make sure theres no issues

Ive looked and looked but i see no option on how to do this. How can i disable automatic patching?

 
May be a repeated question so sorry in advance but: Would the $15 promo credit from October's spend $100 and get back $15 promo count towards this new spend $100 and get back $15 promo going on now? Still have the $15 from before and wondering if I should shoot for $100 again. Thanks

Yep. It doesn't matter where the cash/credit comes from as long as it's spent on items in the PS Store.

 
Looks like the Turkey skin unlock for Resogun will end by the end of Saturday and Zombies will start unlocking on Sunday:

Not sure, but on the PS3, I just hit "O" and it skips the update. Try and see if that works.

Thanks for the info. Was hoping for maybe new levels or gameplay elements. Not really interested in costumes/skins, a new vehicle or two, or timed bonuses. Guess I'll just stick with the free version.

I've had my ps4 for a year and never once had this issue, but i tend to keep my ps4 in standby so it does all that in the background.

I'm 99% positive I've bought games that had patches out and I just played the game while the patch was downloading, and then, at my convenience, quit out o fthe game to apply the patch. In fact, the more I think about it, the more I'm absolutely sure I've played games while downloading the patch in the background.

Are you saying it's not letting you boot into the game? Is it an online game like Destiny that would require you to be up to date to play?

Debating on getting the Call of Duty Bundle...

CoD is a game I'll end up playing but I typically don't buy season passes...except for Ghost which was my biggest regret EVER. 

However with the whole $15 back on spending $100 and the whole 20% PSN cards plus the fact that I'm buying this off a $200 prepaid debit card I bought for $175...plus I still have the $15 from the last spend $100 promo. 

I'd still have to find something $10 to spend on though. 

 
^ be careful i bought one and it says it will be delivered dec 5th, which is long after the PSN $100 / 15 promo.  Plus many people have had problems checking out, and even get their paypal account locked for 2 days.

Mine says it will be delivered 12/8, but I don't care about the $100/$15 promo so I'm OK with that. I had no trouble checking out. It is rather stupid that it takes them so long to give you a digital code.

Fantasy Hero looks interesting, really enjoy ARPGs. Pocket RPG is actually a fun little game, and the title theme music is absolutely amazing. A bit expensive at $15, but I really like the style.
 
I traded in my GTA5 and Diablo 3 into best buy for more than what I paid and ordered both digitally on PSN, added Transistor to bump up over $100 for the $15 back.  Really love D3 and GTA5 so its a no brainer going digital and not having to swap discs or anything, two games I'll play forever.  I enjoyed the few minutes of Transistor I played on friends PC, although I suspect it'll eventually be a free PS+ game.

Only thing that sucks is I just can't get the PS4 to reuse the already installed games, the only way I can run them without the disc is to delete them and let PSN re-download.  I dunno if I am doing something wrong, but it really is lame that any game you buy digitally can't reuse the assets from the disc game.  The save game, trophies, etc all carry over but just not the actual install.

Far as I can tell there's not a way to do it. It irks me too, because I do pretty much everything digitally after I purchase on GCU just to try it out. It would be nice if you could just "unlock" the data that is already there instead of having to redownload everything over again.

 
anyone else having trouble adding transistor to their cart? WHen i click it it just has add to cart listed and none of ht eother side stuff listed... however i cant click add to cart. Only game thats doing this i tried lcikging diablo and sniper and some of the sports games an they all let me add them reularly.
