It's not the same like Monster Hunter/other "hunting" games (Toukiden, Soul Sacrifice, Gods Eater, etc.) where you have full control of your character offensively and defensively where spacing and animation of your attack methods matter.

It's more similar to most MMOs/action RPGs where you hotkey some skills, skills require points to use, and you have to fill the bar back up to do attacks that require points. As long as you're within range of an enemy's attack, it doesn't matter whether or not their attack "collided" with you, you will take damage.

I wonder when are they going to put PS4 Lauch games on sale. They are less than $10 on some stores...

Knack? Killzone Shadow Fall? Battlefield 4? Cod Ghosts? NFS Rivals? Should be on sale at $10 for Plus / $15 for suckers.

Tomb Raider and Infamous Second Son sale prices are terrible. Just terrible.

I went through this yesterday. I didn't loose my PS+ but I was wanting to renew it with a card I bought but first wanted to find out when it would expire. It's no where on the webstore. I think it was under Account Management on my PS3 somewhere. I had to really dig to find it as I wanted to know when it was actually due so I could set an calendar alert in my phone for next year and the years beyond.

Settings, PSN, Account Information, Service List , Playstation Plus, and it should show you how long your sub is for and also give you the option to turn on or off sub renewal.

Edit: on the PS4

If SAO is playable on the PS TV then I'm on it.

Edit again: On the playstation website its one of the first things that pop up when you login in your account.

just buy them physcial, physcial is cheaper than digital in a lot of cases for some reason

Yeah, just checked...

playstation.com website, log in and it's there on the main page. I've always just used the store for everything... never thought to check the playstation website.

 
Thanks for the help everyone, I finally found it.  Looks like it expired on 11/30 (which makes sense since I played Resogun to get the Turkeys) but it was throwing me because I knew that didn't line up with when I bought the console and thought I had only used year increments after the 30 days that came with it but it looks like I used two 3 month cards at some point.  I think I vaguely remember some deal where you bought the 3 month card and got some PSN credit with it making it a good deal (seems like something from BBY maybe).

 
I think I'll hold of on the Tales of Symphonia games.  I just noticed the compilation version of both is $20 new at GS and my local stores say they have it in stock (not limited stock but actually more than 1 copy).  I think I'd rather have the disc on this one.   This works out good as it leaves my account with a little cash in it for the next round of deals in week 2.

And it was $10 for both at least once (maybe twice) during previous PSN flash sales.

Just another disappointing month on the free games front. I am definitely letting my PS+ membership expire next week. Gonna sit on the sidelines for awhile and see if things improve. A really strong showing in December would have definitely made me reconsider, but its ultimately just another disappointing month. The only thing I can think of, as to why Sony would let the quality of PS+ drop this fast and over an extended period of time, is Sony thinking that they don't have to have really strong months anymore since most people who are interested in PS+ are probably already members. Maybe they think people won't be willing to walk away and in so doing, lose all of the games from previous months. Well, if that is the case then they are definitely wrong.

While the thanksgiving sale was pathetic, their sales generally make up the other half of value for PS+ for me. There was an initial shock when I got rid of my PS3 at the drop in choice and quality of sales, but I assume they will flatten out as more content comes to the PS4.

You cut it close to the deadline for your monthly PS+ doom and gloom post.

 
One big reason the quality of the free games is dropping is because PS Plus is no longer optional for online play if you have a PS4. So they don't need as huge of a wow factor with a dwindling PS3 userbase as more and more are slowly "upgrading". 

And still the PS Vita is just like the PSP....treated like a red-headed stepchild.

This is actually a great sale for me:

Definitely picking up a bunch for my vita:  Age of Zombies, bit trip, castlestorm, dustforce, flow and a few more that are listed for ps3 if they're cross buy (doodle god, etc).

Then there are a few I need to decide on, like South Park and Sword Art online. 

Great sale, for me.  And 3 more weeks.  My budget is already destroyed.

There are a lot of games you can still play online on the PS4 without Plus. A great game like Warframe, for example, is free for all and does not require Plus. Most game parts of Destiny does not require Plus (only RAIDs and Strikes do).

They're putting money into getting brand new content (Isaac, Ponchos, etc) on subscribers' download lists instead of ponying up for catalog retail titles for PS3. That's a choice I'm satisfied with.

And we just got Binding of Isaac, which is the only thing I've played for 30 days straight.

I can't see Syberia selling at $15 at all, especially when Groupees has a choose your PC game bundle right now with Steam keys where you can get it, Syberia 2, and another game for the minimum price of 99 cents.

Anyone personally able to verify that?

Cause people with the physical cartridge and EU digital claim they can play on the PS TV but US Digital copy had problems. Then again that was about a month ago so maybe they did update that?

 
I didn't even know that psn had these ps1 games on it, but still, $3 for ps1 games seem expensive. Should have been a dollar flash sale for these. I would have for sure bought bugs life and toy story 2.

Also, I had no idea they made a lilo and stitch ps1 game and it looks just like Crash Bandicoot lol.

Isaac has consumed my soul. As frustrated as I am when I get some useless build and have to quit/restart (Basement items are Lemon, Spider Butt, Cursed Eye and Toxic Bombs? Yeah, that's a new run ...), I can't stop playing. It's Civ's "one more turn" on crack.

Yeah, it's great like that and those truly awful runs are kind of fun sometimes. The one more turn mentality is definitely dangerous though when those runs start taking 45 minutes plus.

 
get 15 back spend 100 got removed hours ago. I came home to buy but add for it was gone. So i guess these promos do not end at midnight next time i know i guess. I wish it was still going on i spent 84 and i would spend another 14 to get 15 back. Dang...

Spend the extra to get to $100 if you're $15 short, the ad always disappears when they update the store.
